"I do appologize." Ligeia said, flapping his wings again mentally beratting himself for his lack of flight capability. He supposed he would add this onto the ever growing list of: Things he would do IF he could fly, 'give good diretions'. He turned his gaze over to Vorel who was sniffing around Cody a moment then, when realizing that the boy had no more treats for him turned his blue eyed gaze upon his partner, then started to swish his tail rapidly.
"Hrm? Ahh." He dug into his pocket to get another one out and tossed it to Vorel to snapped it up out of the air then sat back on his haunches to chew on it.
"Best I could really help you with is telling you where my father is. Maybe he could give you directions? That or guess. Ahh... let me think..."
He looked around trying to remember the set up that he did know. D-corp building here, his father's classroom was on the opposite side of the building from while you got a good view of nothing much really, some land and no houses like she spoke of, "Not that way I know that much." He said pointing then started to think more on it. If he pieced together what he DID know then he would have a better idea where the houses that the lady was looking for weren't located.

"Your pop..." She looked back up to the building. Man they'd just come from there too. How annoying. She'd got off work before coming down, all she really wanted in the world was to sit down in front of the TV and watch some lion eat a gazelle or something to that effect. Of course- she didn't know how Cody might take that. Heck, she might have seen her last hamburger for a good time too. "Well if you think he could help me out. Maybe he could give me some advice on how to handle a kid. I didn't think I'd have one by now." Or ever... a good boyfriend was hard enough to find much less a good husband and father.
Cody smiled proudly, removing his hat to tuck the feather into the strap that ran along the rim. With a contented nod of his head he placed his hat back over his head, minding the horns so they'd not add a new set of holes in it. "Lig....Liggy wanna come over n' play later time?" He looked up to the older child, swishing his tail around casually, "N' we can wrestle s'more."

"I think that he might be able to help you out." Ligeia said, then dug into the pockets of the outfit that he wore looking around for something before he produced a key from one of them, "This will open up the outside door to his classroom which is where he no doubt is." Since after all his father was in his classroom a lot to set things up classes.
The owl boy's wings flapped as he turned his attention to Cody and he gave a little laugh, "Sure, though I am sure you will beat me every time. I'm not all that great at the wrestling stuff." He admitted, whispering as if it were some great secret.
Not that someone couldn't tell by the way Cody had so easily tackled him...

Cody's grin widened and a hoof pawed at the ground under him. It was exciting! He'd have someone to play with now, "You come by n' get yer keys too, ya? We can't keep 'em. Not ours."
Winter nodded, "Yes, should I meet you somewhere to... give these back to you or would you prefir that I left them with your father? I wouldn't feel comfortable just running off with your keys, kinda important."
She let her eyes stray up to the building once again, it gave her the creeps though she really coudln't put a finger on why exactally that was... maybe because they knew... nosey bastards.

"If you would rather I could always lead you both there if you like. His classroom is pretty weird compared to the others I've see. It can be a hard to find him at times." He said, it was hard to describe really passed it being like from stepping out of the outside into... the outside. A classroom that looked completely like a forest including dirt and rocks on the floor.
And he didn't much mind leading them and he found the little cowboy to be a lot of fun.

"Yeaaaah!" Cody clapped his hands, "He can show us da way. Then we can play after!" The cowboy chuckled, looking between his guardian and Ligeia.
Winter glanced back towards the school, nodding slowly, "Yeah, I think that'll be fine. I'm horrible with directions...I got lost in the south side of town once until one in the morning because I missed the last bus out." She chuckled a bit. "And it'll save us from having to dig you up after we use your keys."
"Diggin' 'em up?" Cody frowned a bit, visualizing actually digging the owl boy out of the ground.
"It means finding him again..."
"In da dirt?"
"Nevermind..." Winter chuckled.

Ligeia laughed at the exchange between the two then gave a happy flutter of his wings, "Alright, this way then." He said giving a motion of his hand as they set to walking around the school, the classroom could be seen easily once they got around the building, after all it was a large, glass structure and inside it looked like a forest, "See, that is where Daddy is." He said. Now all they had to do was unlock the door, go in, and try to find him. Should prove to be interesting, much like a game of Hide-and-Seek.

Cody trotted happily after the older child, his tail snapping around behind him. Winter trudged soon after, her hands stuffed casually into her pockets and her eyes narrowed as they moved down towards the classroom, "Such a big place... it's gonna take me forever to get use to it. Man, I'll spend hours trying to pick the kid up after class."
"Biiiiig." Cody marvaled, looking around himself. So many walls, so many rooms. He couldn't help but wonder what was in all of them, behind the doors or around the corners.

Ligeia nodded his head in agreement, "I still don't know my way around very well, only between the places that I go to often." He told her so that she wouldn't feel bad about getting lost herself. He stopped at the door and unlocked the door, "Come on."
He was smiling as he pushed it open, "Daddy! Are you there!" He called out. There was no response though straight off though, just the sounds of the forest like classroom and a couple of birds that had snuck in at different points when the doors to the outside were open.
"Dad?"
There was another long pause then a, "Over here!"
Ligeia looked back at Winter Cody, "Found him! Well... sorta."

Winter nodded, she understood that perfectally. When she rode to work, she knew there were at least three ways that she could take that would be quicker, but because she -knew- the longest path that's the one she took. She'd been shown the way but until she had gone down that road a few times she would never remember. "Yeah, sometimes it's a kick in the pants..."
Cody clopped after Ligeia once they were called, laughing as he went. It was like a game! They were looking for the feather-boy's dad.
"Calm down, bronco..." Winter put a hand to the boy's head gently, casually making her way over towards Ligeia, "How do you kinda find someone?"

He gave a laugh as he looked over at the Lady, "I can hear him." He said, "So we know what direction he is in thusly we 'kinda' found him." It made sense to the owl boy at least and he could only hope that she understood. He turned to once more lead the way, moving along one of the paths towards where he'd heard the voice from, luckily though for the group Orpheus came to meet them.
He smiled as he looked them over to them, "I see you found a new friend." Orpheus said, looking Cody over first then turned to Winter and held a hand out to her, "Orpheus Solon, I'm one of the D-corp teachers." He introduced himself.

Cody smirked as the man came into view, allowing himself to be guided over towards the voice by his guardian's hand. Winter ran a hand through her curled brown blue hair, frusterated that she looked as trashy as she did. Of course, anyone just coming off work looked trashy. She at least tried, lifting her eyebrows -as they always seemed to be set into a scowl- and smirking a bit. "A pleasure. My name's Winter... and this is----"
Cody smirked and flat out charged the man as he had Ligeia, plowing himself into the man's legs in a leaping- tackle. Of course it would take little to avoid the child and send him back to the ground and even then he might not be enough to floor the man, but this seemed to be a new tradition for him.
"CODY!"

Orpheus's eyes widened a little at the charge, able to slid a foot back to brace himself but the hit was more then he expected causing him to fall back a step despite having thought that he was prepared for it... he then gave a laugh, "Wow, your gonna be a fun one to have in class I can tell already." He said, sounding genuine about what he said, Cody as Orpheus assumed his name was since the name got yelled at him, was small but he packed a lot of power it would seem.
Ligeia gave a smile, "He totally floored me." He admitted, wings giving a little flutter.
Orpheus looked over at Ligeia, giving him a once over as if to make sure that he were ok then nodded, "Lots of fun. Well I am pleased to meet the both of you, Ms Winter, Cody."
