Umo blinked, chuckling for a moment at his daughters death defying ear grab, his tail twtiching at the end. Boy, she was strong and Kika made a good point. There was plenty of milk just for her, plenty of attention just fo r her... hopefully she would not grow up to be too spoiled. "You mean... when you eft and found me? They would be engry at you for that. You found a mate... and was gifted with a cub." He said, rolling onto his side more; blinking over at Kikawaida.
"I am sorry Kikawaida, I do not understand the spirits like you do; but if they surely are angry at you for finding a family... then they must not have many things to be angry about" He said with a smile. "The spirits understand; well, I think anyway." He looked down, then back up to her. "I love her though... so I thank the spirits for their participation in her birth... and you. YOu did so well Kika"

Kika smiled at er large mate. At times like these she remembered why she loved him so, why he was such a large part of her life. "I love you too Umo" she whispers licking and grooming his face while he rolled about. "They are an important part of my life Umo. She is our daughter though and perfectly healthy otherwise" she smiled gently looking at their daughter with a pleased smile. She was so glad they were together again.
Kinamasi grinned, growling around the large ear which filled ehr whole mouth before she released her daddy again and clambered up him to sit on his shoulder "ride daddy!" she stated a cheeky grin on her tiny furry features. She felt high up just sitting on her fathers laying down figure. What would it be like when he stood?

Umo smiled at Kika; his big cheeks puffing. He gave Kika a light head butt. "I love you too Kikawaida. I always will" He said, looking at in the eyes. Oh, his darling whispering jewlel. How amazing she was. "I know. The spirits to you Kika are like my memories to me. They help us with life. They are important." He said, his face changing as if he was remembering past times. He shook his head as his daughter asked for a ride; in her cute little way.
"Of course Kina" He said, standing up slowly; making sure she would not fall off. He laughed, looking over at Kika, then his daughter. "Have you been taking care of mommy for me while I was gone?" He asked, his tail wagging much like a dog.

Kinamasi grinned as her father stood. His back was wide enough for her to easily sit thoughher view was obstructed by his big furry head. Looking thoughtful the little cib jumpped up only to land back inbetween his shoulders again. Her ears twitched as her father asked a question and she tilted ehr little head, though nodded an affirmative "yus!" she giggles batting at her fathers mane as he walked. she would just ahve to sit here.
Kikawaida stood as umo did watching her daughter. her heart leaping in her throat as she tried to jimp up to her fatehrs head. "becareful Kinamasi" she whispers a slight strained sound to her voice. Kika worried alot about their only daughter. There were so many perils, her mates back shouldn't have been one of them but she watched their child like a hawk while she rode.

Umo smiled as he felt his dughter little display of... what ever she was going to do. He looked over his shoulder; to see what she was attempting. "Kinamasi? Be careful darling" He said, his monotone voice still flat, though his facial and body expressions were a tad worried. After all, she was his first child. XD He looked to Kikawaida, a small smile crawling across his face. He started to walk, slowly until Kinamasi was accustomed to back rides.
"If you have to use your claws sweety, go ahead. Daddy is a big ol
' brute... he can handle it!" He said, with a smile. He stepped up next to Kika. "She will be an excelent hunter... just look at how well she is keeping on my back!" He said with a smile.

Kikawaida smiled to her large mate, her soft curvey ears flickering ads she looked at ehr daughter. Umo had very wishful thinking. Their daughter would never keep up with a hunt. That leg wasn't about to heal itself magically. Touching her forehead to Umo as they walked she smiled blissfully. "Perhaps we could go on a little family trip. Your pride must be wonderign wheer yuo have been." she whispers her sweet dusty pink eyes resting upon her mate.
Kinamasi squeeked looking guilty. She didn't need to grip her father, he had a back wide enough for her to curl up and sleep on. "I bein careful" she states with a giggle looking up ehr fathers head again, she wanted to have anotehr go at clambering up on top, but her mother was wathing her ever so closely. She couldn't do anything fun.
"Ulo!" A voice came out of the long grass and the little green Genet popped out of some long reedy grass with a yawn. "you're back then?" he looked at Umo with a raised brow. He knew how baddly the male had wanted to be with his mate during her birthing but he wasn't allowed. Looking up he spotted kinamasi and he physically seemed to calm.
Kikawaida smiled as her small green friend appears andshe whispered to Umo "he watches her like a little green angel" she smiles looking down at the Genet "Mkugenzi we are planning a trip would you like to come?" she smiles the male Genet was one of her closest friends.
"Mku!" kinamasi giggled waving her sore paw from her high perch.
Mkugenzi grunted and jumped landing on Kikawaidas back "oi well, you know I wouldn't moind 'avin' a bit of a trip. S'long as we aint away too long mind. The lassy will miss 'er lil playmates if we be gone for an age"

Umo watched his mate smile at him. Sure, he had high hopes for his daughter... he was after all a little vane. Naturally. "actually I would not mind that. I havenot been back to my pride in a while. Actually, not a bit since I left you. " he said with a nervous smile. He had been too busy... well... being mopey and depressed. "I do hpe Asi is not angry."
Umo felt his tail flinch wildly when that little green thing... that Genet spoke. It had been the one who told Umo he could not see Kika, so he had a slight dislike for him. He looked down at him, smiling. "Well, I have not seen you in a long time it seems." He said, looking to Kika. The way Kinamasi said his name was so cute, he would have to remember that forever!
"Well then, shall we?" Umo said, and with a slow paced, even walk he began to trek back towards his pride.
