Round Five:
Nanashi leads our pack! How long can she hold this pace? Rikurin and Chief are right at her heels... Raspberry Icing continues to hold up. Hikaru and Mint are tied next; Ashura close behind. Petals is still a dead last, but continues to run.

Round Six:
Nanashi manages to hold the lead, followed by Rikurin. Chief slips a bit and is now tied with Raspberry Icing. Ashura pulls up with Hikaru, Mint falls a bit behind. Petals narrows the gap some, but still holds last...

Round Seven:
Nanashi and Rikurin are now tied, followed by Raspberry Icing and Chief. Next comes Hikaru and... Ashura slips! But recovers... Mint nimbly misses where Ashura slipped... but Petals isn't paying enough attention.
Petals falls! She's out. sad

Round Eight:
Rikurin puts a bit more speed in and passes Nanashi! Nanashi is now tied with Raspberry Icing, followed by Chief. Ashura comes next, then Hikaru, then Mint.... all evenly spaced behind the clustered front.

Round Nine:
Raspberry Icing's greater stamina pulls him in the lead as the rest of the pack starts to lag! Next comes Rikurin and then Nanashi. Chief still isn't far behind, followed, surprisingly, by Mint! Ashura and Hikaru pull up the back, fighting over who gets "stuck" in last.
The finish line is just ahead! Will it inspire any of our racers...?

Round Ten:
Rikurin's great willpower DOES pull him ahead! He finishes first!
Raspberry Icing comes in second, no contest.
Nanashi keeps just ahead of Chief for third.
Mint takes fifth... and Ashura pulls just enough ahead of Hikaru for sixth.
Results!
1st: Rikurin
2nd: Raspberry Icing
3rd: Nanashi
4th: Chief
5th: Mint
6th: Asura
7th: Hikaru
Petals didn't finish.
Next post I will roll to see if Rikurin gets a stat increase.

At race's end, I roll 1d20. There's a 1:4 chance the first place winner's stats will increase by 1.
1, 6, 11, 16, 20 are the "magic" numbers. If I roll one of those, the winner gets an increase of 1 on each stat.
*edit* Sorry, no stat increase for Rikurin.
