Omg... this wholt thing is me. I cannot be bored, watch TV, eat cereal, be on the net, hang out with my friends, wear my clothes, wear makeup, paint my nails, or do anything else that I enjoy doing...
Right...
I am not going to reform through the Lord...
They say goths corrupt peoples minds, and they hand out this...
Half this stuff is a matter of taste, and the depression, a chemical inbalance...
Wow...

Muaethia Sanguvixen I am a part of is the Furrie Subculture. I'm not goth. Subcultures. Interesting. What exactly is a "furrie"? I live in the UK and things are obviously different here. We have the main groups of:
~ Chavs (wearing burbery, white tracksuits, sportsware, huge gold rings and earrings they call 'bling', have an extremely anti-social attitude, hang around in huge gangs, wear too much luridly coloured eyeshadow and orange fake tan and wear hair in high ponytails in girls, fail all their exams and hang around bus shelters getting pregnent at 14 instead)
~ Moshers (like heavy rock bands, 'mosher' music, black sweaters, have stereotypically long, dyed hair, 'mosh' to their music)
~ Emos (I think you have those over in the US, but basically they think that everyone hates them and no-one understands them, cut themselves to weird music, have fringes that covour half their faces)
~ Scene Kids (happy emos, who wear bandanas and dress unusually)
Those are just 4 typical examples. We have goths, also. I personally do not like to classify myself, but I dislike chavs greatly and have several emo-ish friends. Some things don't always fit, there are grey areas. For example, not everyone who cuts themselves is automatically emo, and not everyone who wears sports stuff is automatically a 'chav'. It's a combination.

Oh snap! I keep hoping this flyer isn't real, but then my cynicism kicks in and I realize there really are people out there who are profoundly ignorant enough to put something out of this nature.

I saw this in the ED about a month ago.
It's a joke. I don't know anyone who doesn't apply to 5 or more of those...Even my Catholic grandfather.
Goths aren't dangerous, just misunderstood. I have a couple of really good friends who are Goths.

They think goths are violent? That's hilarious. I think the gangster/ghetto trend is something to be more worried about. They're the violent ones.

"Eats goth-related foods. Count Chocula cereal is an example of this."
That made me laugh really hard for some odd reason. rofl
"Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this."
Since when did nuns, priests, and elders become "authority" figures? rolleyes
"Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports"
Yes, those are all such wholesome activities. What if you're skipping all of those "wholesome" activites to do something productive like...oh...I don't know...work hard to get into a good college? rolleyes
"Is excessively awake during the night."
Actually, that's what we normal people call "insomnia". rolleyes
