His studded, pierced ears flickered as a warm smile drew across his maw. Looking into the eyes of the mysterious wolfess, it was there Tasubaa found kindling affection although a lingering sensation of bewilderment still made itself present.

The fiery hued male padded closer towards her, his muzzle drawing near her cloud lined maw and, with upmost gentleness, he brushed it against her and tenderly nuzzled her.

He didn't want to startle her nor make her feel uncomfortable as, whether he would admit it or not, he was already walking blindly upon the path of love. Never had he felt so much emotion overcome him, taking control and guiding him to the unknown regions of passion. Though it wasn't clear to him on how or when he could let these sensations run wild within him, Tasubaa would see to it that he took it one step at a time and gradually proceed with all due respect.

A pleasing rumble sounded from the depths of his chest as his maw drifted upwards. He had not the slightest idea of what he was doing but something was telling him, strange whispers from the heart guiding him. Thus, he nipped at her ear and tugged at it with a soothing touch.

"When you ran away," he remarked as his maw parted away from her white ear, "I vowed that I would search for you and, well- I found you."

Shanti felt a bit like a child then, being shown something that she had never been tought before. It was strange, it was confusing...and yet, like an eager pup she wanted to learn. She...wanted to understand what he said he was feeling. She wanted to understand the strange swirl of emotions beneath her mind as well. But she really wasn't sure how.

And he...he had looked for her? No one had ever done that before. Sure, she had made a friend or two here and there, but never had they really searched for her company. It was so alien, so bizarre...but somehow she couldn't bring herself to look at it in a negative light. No, whatever this was, it had to be amazing.

Her white ears pressed back, her crimson orbs looking puzzled and uncertain. Her tail gave a sheepish wag, as though she was trying to say she didn't really understand what was happening. But there was a small, awkward and tiny smile on her maw. It seemed to bring a little hope to all her uncertainty.

Letting her white ear slip from his maws grip, Tasubaa slid his muzzle across the side of her face and trailed it delicately towards her muzzle; whisping and drifting gently as his own nose touched Shanti's in a tender manner.

His fiery orbs trailed up towards those of the mysterious wolfess, a gleam of mishief and affection kindling within their midsts as he chuckled softly.

"I want you to know...that I love you," he softly whispered as his tail swayed joyously behind him, his whole body becoming enveloped with emotions that he had never felt before...those he had never partaken of. But these emotions were tantilizing! Luscious in taste as they quenched a thirst that, for so long, he had ignored.

But those desires he had long forgotten were taking hold of him.

A small smile trailed upon his maw as he drew closer to her. "I love you..."

He loved her...he loved her...he kept saying that. And yet she felt at a loss for the full intensity of its meaning. Words were something she was so out of touch with. She was used to listening, to gathering information but...some things she just couldn't grasp. Some things you couldn't understand without experiencing it yourself. She couldn't comprehend how hard or thrilling it was to say the words "I love you" to someone.

His body lanuage, however, was far more easily read. Even though Shanti was ignorant of the possible relations between a male a female-her body seemed to know what it was. Adrenaline rushed through her blood as it warmed and her heart rate rocketed. She had never felt so jittery in her life-for being like this was supposed to have been "beaten" out of her as a pup.

But instincts couldn't be stifled, that was for sure. She inhailed sharply as he drew nearer, still making not a sound, as was her nature. She didn't retreat, however. Hesitantly, nervously, almost as if she feared what would happen, she brushed the side of her maw against his. One step at a time, right?

He was slightly caught off guard as Shanti brushed the side of her maw against him. A sudden low wuff stirred from his maw as he inched his muzzle closer, carefully manuvering it towards hers as he tried to buck up his courage.

Love was such a strange thing; thought he knew not of what exactly he was doing, there was something that was leading him- no, guiding him in these crucial steps and expressions of what emotions stirred within him.

Slowly as his orbs settled upon her own crimson eyes, he daintily licked her nose and rumbled softly with pure content. Drawing his muzzle away, he smiled warmly.

Everything around him seemed unimportant or of meager importance as, for the first time, he was finding true happiness in the company of the mysterious wolfess, Shanti. Though words were something that couldn't be easily conveyed nor said, Tasubaa was trying the best he could to speak from his heart without the assistance of words.

He was speaking from the heart.

Suddenly Shanti paused, her body going still as the dead. There was the dapple of wings as her companion took off without a word. She turned her head over her shoulder, eyes looking away at something unseen, their strange encounter and happenings something forgotten. Her task called her. She slipped away from the male who had been weaving sweet words to her and attempting to speak her language. But right now it went unheard. This was beyond her control. She bounded off on light paws, making not a sound and soon disappeared once more among the shadows as though she had never been. Would this young female ever loose her mystery? It seemed impossible to predict.
