A curious look. "Nice to meet you, my name's Mayu." She smiled. "Need help? It looked like you fainted for a second ... You okay?" Mayu's eyes shone with worry as she stared at Demare, wondering if he was really okay after what was such a strange occurance. It had given Mayu quite a shock, and she was sure she would have panicked if not for the "revival" of the boy.

Demare smiled, resting his hands on his knees.
"Oh, I'll be okay," he told her, before sitting upright correctly again. "See? Already good as new. I'm very sorry to have worried you."
If it wasn't obvious, this seemed like a completely different boy. His eyes still showed little life, but the air about him seemed to do a complete 360, having a much happier attitude.
"So your name is Mayu? It certainly is a pleasure to meet you."

Well, the change in Demare's attitude was certainly a surprise. He had, it seemed, changed completely from the almost angry tone he had before. Whatever it was, Mayu had to smile -- he seemed much happier than he was moments before.
"Oh, it's okay. I tend to worry a lot, that's all." She murmured, still trying to figure out just what had happened. After coming up with no solutions for the fifteenth time, Mayu decided to let it rest.
"And you too."

"So what brings you here today?" he found himself asking, unable to help the very light pink color that faded into his cheeks for a moment. It had been a long time since he met someone new, and he couldn't help but admire the girl's natural beauty. In fact, she reminded him of cherry blossoms... Wasn't there a tree in the park somewhere?

"Oh, I always try to visit the HQ when I can." Mayu replied, finally happy that she was able to make small talk. She hated being the first oe to speak out in a conversation, preferring to wait until someone said something of interest and then follow up.
"What about you?" She asked, tilting her head.

At that, Demare blushed a little more, but for a different reason.
"Actually, I don't know," he admitted honestly, not thinking much of it. "I just kind of ended up here."

"Ah, I see." Mayu loved that phrase and used it often in her conversations.
"That's happened to me once," she said, unsure of what else to tag on. "Err ..." She thought for a moment, then plucked a blossom from her branches. She handed it to Demare with a smile.

Demare blinked a couple of times before reaching up to take the flower, staring at the petals for a long moment. She was... giving this to him? Then, a gift was needed in return. Reaching a hand back to his left wing, he carefully plucked a feather from it, one that was still fairly clean, but falling out anyway.
He held it out for Mayu, smiling as well.
"T-thank you..." he said softly. "I'll make sure to keep it safe from him."

"Thank you!" Mayu smiled, tucking the feather into her little side bag. She gave out flowers to everyone she met, but had not expected the boy to actually give something back.
"So ... You have wings!" She grinned, smile faltering. She seriously needed a hobby, like politics or something. She was horrible at making small talk, and her attempts at getting a conversation up were making her look stupider and stupider with each passing second.

Demare couldn't help but laugh a little bit, his wings drawing in close to his back before stretching themselves out as far as they could. How cute... She seemed to be having as hard of a time talking as he was.
"And you have... branches!" he remarked, smiling brightly. "That is quite curious indeed. I've never met anyone like that before... Can you feel with them? Or does it hurt when one touches them?"

Mayu shook her head in response to Demare's questions, thinking of a good way to answer them. "Well, not really. Though I can feel it if a bird lands on one or something. They're really just for decoration, though if you tried to break one off I guess it would hurt ..."
Realizing she was mumbling again, Mayu caught herself and stopped her gibberish before she bored Demare to sleep.

Demare chuckled a little bit. Imagining a bird on one of the branches was kinda funny, but rather cute at the same time. He could just see it.
"Do they ever get in the way of things?" he asked curiously. "I'm not meaning to be rude with my questions, I'm just wondering."

"Sometimes they do," Mayu sighed, remembering a time when she simply could not get through a narrow doorway because of the branches. It was an interesting predicament, that it was. "Don't worry about it, I ask questions all the time." She smiled. She didn't mind being asked questions herself, she loved to answer them.

Demare smiled, feeling a bit reassured. He didn't want to offend her or anything, and was relieved that he hadn't so far. His eyes peered toward the window for a moment, taking in the sight of the sky as he noticed the pale orange color it was slowly starting to take. He'd been so busy researching things that he hadn't had any time to go outside and enjoy what was out there recently.
Looking back to Mayu, he carefully stood himself up before holding a hand out to the girl to help her up if she wanted.
"Would you like to join me outside?" he asked. "It seems like such nice weather, and I haven't been able to enjoy it much the past few weeks."

"Sure," Mayu replied, also gazing out at the sunset. "It looks nice outside."
She hopped up and stretched slightly -- sitting in one position too long made the back ache. Walking over to the door, Mayu held it open for Demare to pass, and even managed a clumsy bow. "After you."
