Gather round! Gather round! For a I have a rather sad story to tell! It is told whenever my Hebrew School class has a major discussion on ant-Semitism.

My friend's mother went into a store to buy some milk. As she was waiting at the counter, Getting her groceries checked out, another woman inline saw the saw the Star of David hanging off my friend's mother's neck. This Woman stared ata my friend's mother and asked, "Did it hurt?" Confused, my friend's mother looked at the woman, "Excuse me?" The woman once again stared at my fried's mother, "DId it hurt?" She began, "When they took out your horns?" Shocked, my friend's mother, looked at the woman and said. "I did not have horns." The woman stated, "Yes you did, you are Jewish."

Can you believe that?! When ever I hear that story it makes me fear the fate of the future of man kind. What kind of parent teachers there children that another race is infererior or is evil? Horrible.
i have a better one.

there was this guy. an irreligous jew, about 20, in college. one morning he wakes up to find that he can't move. he had no motor control nor feeling from the neck down. what supposedly happened was that he twisted his neck in his sleep, and now was paralyzed. it used to be, when someone was paralyzled, in order to treat the spine, the doctor would drill 2 holes into the skull, and insert the brace. after all, if the patient's neck moves during surgey, it could severely damage his spine. anyway, after about 9 months of being completely immobile, staring at the ceilling (the first 4 weeks he didn't even have a tv-he counted the marks in the ceiling panels), he recovered. fast forward a few years. the man is now living with his brother in a house. they have a spanish gardener, who comes over every week or so, to clean the pool, mow the lawn etc. so they're talking one day, the gardener and the brothers, and the gardener makes a jew joke. a really bad one. so one of the brothers tells him that they're jewish. no way, the gardener says, you guys can't be jewish. "why not?". "you don't have horns". so the brother, the one that was paralyzed, smiles, and says "i'll tell you a secret" he takes the gardeners hands, and moves them to his head, so the finger tips brush the holes, "we file them down". the gardener goes pale, runs out, sells his house within the week, and they never hear from him again.

i heard this story from a mutual friend, and later from the guy himself. let me tell you, it is freaky to feel holes in someone's head.

In 2nd grade, we had that second grade assignment, "write what you want for Christmas" or something like that... It had to do with Christmas presents. I went home and told my mother. She asked my teacher for an alternate assignment, about a Hannukah present or something, and my teacher told my mother, "This is a Christian country and you have to learn to live with it." (I'm in the U.S., btw.)

Happy ending... my mom talked to the principal, and I think the teacher ended up fired.

I hate to say it, but she got what she deserved! sweatdrop

We had to do a name project once in school, and a person who's in my class said her parents were going to name her "..... .... W.....", but didn't because her initials would spell out "JEW," and that would be bad. Then, seeing myself and my brother glaring at her, as well as the teacher, she then adds, "Umm..no offense?" stressed

A lot of people at school give me grief about keeping kosher. I'd rather avoid the 20-minute explanation of why I don't eat pig or other meat in the school cafeteria or when I go eat somewhere with them, so I just say I'm a vegitarian. Which works in my favor, since the school administration won't bend over backwards so Jewish kids have something to eat at the A-B honor roll luncheon but will for vegitarians. *shrug*

And I beat up anyone who uses "Jew" as an insult.

What a poo head. I don't get that alot really because I live in israel, and the vast majority are jews 3nodding . The worst comment I ever got in the usa (when I still lived there) was, "all you jews ever do is wear those stupid hats all the time", and that was an off-hand comment of some random boy on a bus I was taking home from summer camp rolleyes .

aww i think you look nice in the stupid hat lol

rolleyes i've already stated my opinion and feelings on the kippah

rofl

It can hardly be called a hat.. a cap is more like it 3nodding .

But it's not stupid.. why did they call it stupid crying

i already went thought this nathan they were jealous of the HAWTNESS of the kippah, and they are jealous because they are goy and goy does not equal hawt caps/hats

^.^

I know that my parents would give the school crap, but I wish I could go to a Jewish School. I mean, I DESPERATELY want to. However, they are so expensive and my mom and dad have two other kids to put through college. SO yea, we're not poor it's just that we're not rich either.

Same here. I have been wanting to go to one, but there are only like 7 Jewish Schools Fl, so I can't go to one sadly, well besides that boarding school. I can't wait to go to collage though. (so many years to wait crying ) I am planning to go to a collage that was made for jews during the holocost(sp?), it was founded by Albert Einstien, and my father went their when he was stuiding medicene. I am sure I won't have as much probloms with anti-semitism their than what I go though now. I just hope I will be able to get the grades to get in when the time comes.

YEa, I wouldn't mind goind to a boarding school that much if it meant living in an all-Jewish environment, but I would miss my family a loit, so it would be a diffeicult choice to make. College wise, I believe the Colleges I want to go to, Although I have a a few years have decent Jewish populations.
