To Cleanse and Bless a New Home
You will need:
Sea Salt
Oil
a White Candle
Sage (optional)
Face North, light the candle, and carefully set it down on a flat surface. Call upon the goddes Vesta to protect and bless your home. Go around sprinkling a little bit of the salt into each corner, saying:
"No darkness
No gloom
Evil spirits
Are banished from this room."
Use the oil to trace a pentacle above all the windows and doors.
Snuff out the candle when you are done.
If you wish, you can walk through the house carrying some lit sage, but be careful of falling embers... try to carry it over a bowl of water to catch them.
You may also wish to hang some windchimes in your house, as evil spirits cannot stand the sound of the chimes and will flee.

Car Protection Spell
Whether we live in a large city or in a rural area, our lifestyles are largely urban. Most of us drive or ride in a car frequently. Driving relies on applying common sense:
Stay alert.
Drive at safe speeds.
Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Turn off your cell phone.
Enhance your protection when on the road with some urban magic. Each time you are in a car, either as the driver or passenger, visualize a protective bubble around your vehicle.
Write this spell on a card and keep it with you or in your car:
My journey is safe,
Vigilant in every way.
In this vehicle and any other,
Grant me protection.

Harmony at Home Spell
Squabbles, arguments and other forms of anger in the family are all very hurtful abd distracting. You should not expect that you can solve the problems of youf family by yourself, but the following spell can be cast to send some positive energy into your home.
What do I need?
* A small, covered silver bowl
* Sprigs of lavender
* An item connected with each family member
* A small piece of old dish towel
* A pinch of sea salt
* A rose quartz stone (preferably heart shaped)
* An amethyst stone (perferably circular)
* A piece of hematite (preferably circular)
* Glue
When should I do this spell?
During the phase of the full moon
What should I do?
In your silver bowl place the sprigs of lavender, one for each family member (including yourself). Lavender helps alleviate stressful and disharmonious situations.
Also place in the bowl an item connected with each family member. This can be anything small that you can lay your hands on. For example, you may take a lock of your own hair, maybe some of your mothers favourite face powder (not too much) and a few drops of your fathers aftershave.
When you have found all these items and put them in the bowl, add a snip from the dish towel. The dish towel symbolises the meals that have been taken together as a family. Sprinkle the sea salt over the entire contents. This represents the cleansing of negative energies.
Then place the stones in the bowl, after they have been washed under running water and dried with a clean cloth. Rose quartz resonates with friendly energies, amethyst corresponds to happiness, and hematite has a healing quality and is known for its protection from negativity.
When this is done, dab spots of glue around the edge of the bowl and glue the cover onto the bowl. Place the bowl as close as possible to the front of the door. If you have a hall mirror, see if you can possition the bowl so that it's reflected in the mirror. This will double the power of the spell.

Here are a couple of my banishing spells since I just posted thim in my other guild's shadows....
The Bottle Spell
This is one every witch should have in her BoS. It's a very basic spell used to neutralize the power of someone wishing to do you harm.
Materials:
black thread
black ink
a bottle with a cork
a white candle
4 tbsp of Frankincense/ Myrrh (easy enough to get at any herbal supplier)
4 tbsp of Orris Root/ Oak Moss
4 tbsp salt
Paper
Directions:
Mix the salt, orris root, and frankincense in a bowl. Cut the piece of paper to fit inside the bottle and write on it in black ink: "I neutralize the power of _____ to do me any harm. I ask that this be correct and for the good of us all. So mote it be." Roll up the parchment and place it in the bottle. Fill in the bottle with the dry ingredients. Then take the candle and, turning the bottle counter clockwise, drip wax over the cork to seal it. Bury the bottle during a waxing or new moon where it will not be disturbed.
To reverse the spell, simply dig up the bottle and break the seal.
Three Times Three Ritual
This ritual is designed to have someone see his/her errors. It is a banishment of ignorance. It is to be used on people who are corrupt in thier ways. It has no negative consequence (like them losing thier job or what not) unless you think negatively of the person while you do the ritual. It works best if you have something representing the person, like a strand of hair, or a nail clipping. (Sounds like the makings of a voodoo doll doesn't it? lol, not really).
Directions:
Hold the item representing the person (or a piece of paper/candle with the name of the person on it) and concentrate on having their eyes opened to the wrong that they are doing.
Recite: "Sands of the North, rich soils beneath,
Three times three, let them see, let them see.
Winds in the East, run through the trees,
three times three, set them free, set them free.
Fires in the South, awaken from sleep,
Three times three, let them see, let them see.
Water of the West, flow to the seas,
Three times three, set them free, set them free."
Burn the item/paper/candle to release the energy of the chant.
A Chant for Justice
This is a chant to banish rumours about yourself, by invoking the Goddess of revenge to make them confess thier wrong. I personally have never used this ritual. I think it's a bit too unpredictable to call on a goddess to do something for you, and the spell is rather vindictive which just isn't me. It does have the formula to balance the spell at the end though, so if you like it, feel free.
Directions: Again, this one works best with a momento of the person involved. Hold said momento and concentrate on the person and the crime they committed against you, or the rumour they started.
Recite:"May Nemisis stalk those who dare
to slander my name and cause me care.
All that they attempt to cause me pain,
Rebound on them and be in vain.
Let the hurt they cause to me and mine
Be bound around them like ivy's vine
And when they lay them down to sleep,
May nightmares stalk and waking weep
Until the day thier conscious bids
They tell the truth for all to hear.
All this I ask in Justice's name
And wish on myself the very same."
Burn the representative of the person.

"To Break the Power of a Spell"
"If you believe a spell has been cast agianst you, place a large black candle in a couldron (or a large black bowl). The candle must be tall enough to extend a few inches above the couldron's rim. Affix the candle to the bottom of the couldron with warmed beeswax or the drippings of another black candle so that it will not tip over.
Fill the couldron to the rim with fresh water, without wetting the candle's wick. An inch or two of the candle should remain above the water. Deep breathe, meditate, clear your mind, and light the candle. Visualize the suspected spell's power as residing within the candle's flame (yes, the power against you). As the candle burns down, it's flame will eventually sputter and go out as it connects with the water. As soon as the flame has been extinguished by the water, the spell will be dispersed.
Break your visualization of the spell's power; see it explode intodust, becoming impotent.
Pour the water into a hole in the ground, a lake, or a stream. Bury the candle. It is done."

Magic Mail
This is to send a person that you care about emotions, energy, good fortune, and wishes for health. Negative energy will not be "picked up" by the messengers.
Write the person's name, location, and what you would like to send them on a piece of paper. Burn it on an alter candle and let it burn in a fire-safe container. While brurning, chant:
Please deliver
Please deliver
Please deliver
Then go outside and spread the ashes at the trunk of a tree and say:
Guiding messengers of the (night/light)
Send this to (person's name) on this day's flight
Let her/him know how much I care,
Let her/him know that I am there.
Place your hands over the ashes and hum for as long as you deem necessary, adding your energy to help summon a messenger.
Best if done at night on a full moon.

A Spell to Reveal Your past life
Ok I didn't come up with this spell but I do use it. Before you do use this though I must warn you. Please be prepared for what you might see. Also this may not work the first try, it took me three times to get it to work.
What you will need:
1 white candle
1 full lenght mirror
and yourself
Light the candle and place it beside the mirror or in a place where you still have alot of light on you but can't see the candle.
Sit infront of the mirror and say
'Oracle of Lunar light, send me the second sight.'
Stare straight into your reflection's eyes and slowly your reflection will dissapear and reveal a new one. When you are done simply look away and clear your mind. You will have emotions that you can't explain but don't worry they'll go away in a while.

These spells are not ones I've "discovered" myself. I've only read about them. I burned my own BoS a few years ago when I did something I shouldn't have. These spells are very beginner friendly, but I might have made some mistakes in the translation.
This ritual is to make a wish come true. Depending on the one that performs the ritual, results may vary, but it's supposedly without risk to harm anyone. Still, better be careful about what you wish for.
What you need:
4 red candles (for vitality, power and a strong will)
4 green candles (for calm, prosperity and fertility)
............If you want, you can shange the colour of the candles for something else if they better represent what you are wishing for.
A glass of wine or cider.
Edible nuts/seeds.
A round stone.
How to perform it:
Place the candles in a large circle, not placing two cadles of the same colour next to each other. The candles should be placed in the eight directions of the compass (North, south, east, west, southeast, southwest, northeast, northwest).
Place the glass of wineor cider in the middle along with a bowel containing the seeds or nuts.
Hold the stone in your left hand during the ritual. It represents the Cricle of Life and the universe.
Light the northern candle first, then go to the middle of the circle and dip one of the seeds/nuts in the drink before eating it while making your wish.
Repeat for every candle in the circle, going clockwise, until all candles are lit. It might be easier to visualize the wish in eight steps, one for each candle, than the whole wish for every candle.
When you are done, sit down in the middle of the ring. Drink the rest of the wine/cider in a toast to the world and keep the stone as an amulet.
This spell is supposed to make it easier to deal with annoying relatives. And lets face it, most of us have those.
What you need:
A few flowers.
A stick of incense
A gold-coloured candle
A bowel with rose water
What to do:
Invite your relatives over a night when the moon is fading. Before they are coming over, you gather the four tools, which represents the four elements, and place them in the northern, southern, eastern and western ends of the room you'll be in, according to following verse:
Flowers, for earth, in north;
a stick of incense, for air, in east;
a golden candle, for fire, in south;
a little rose water, for water, in west.
This will create a magic balance that will help things to run smoothly during the evening. Make an effort to show your good sides, and give your guests plenty of refreshments. Light the candle and incense just before their arrival and repeat the ritual at frequent intervalls.

[Bavi] What does "Trinka Five" mean? I did a little google search on the "trinka five" chant, and it's supposed to be a Romanian chant. So, I looked up an online translating dictionary, and found absolutely nothing for the word trinka. So, who knows.. maybe someone just made it up.
