Lestat in the first three or four Vampire Chronicles I like more than Jean-Claude. Sure, he's a p***k, but he's an amusing p***k. Although no Anne Rice vampire is really a p***k because those parts don't work anymore, but that's irrelevant. After the first three books, definately Jean-Claude.

I don't like Lestat that much. He seems kind of whiny, kinda bitchy. Jean-Cleade is sexy, beyond compare. He is nothing like Lastat. Jc is the man...or vampire in this case.

I like Ann Rices writing personally better than Laurells, she goes into such vivid detail, sure towards the end (blood cantical sucked a**!) she got bad, but that is because she found jebus, she is more sensual, some people seem to not like her cuz she made it so vampires can't have sex, but oh wells, i like the anita blake series, but i like the vampire chronicles more, it goes into great history and hey i love history!
I love Lestat, he is arrogant and beautiful and he knows it! viva la brat prince although i have to admit Ann ruined him in the last book she really did...

yoko-kurama-6 YEah, but jean-claude's SEXY! XD *giggles* xd xd xd xd The quote button is your friend...?
Lestat is sexier. But not the Stuart Townsend one. He just sounds drunk. Or the Tom Cruise one, because Cruise is a nutcase.
But Lestat is SEXAH. Moreso than Jean-claude. Sorry, but I don't really go for the metrosexual Victorian guys who are paler than even me.
EDIT I retract the last statement. Those aren't bad things. What I meant, I think, is Jean-Claude's fashion sense. I think it's ridiculous. >_>
But to each their own. Also, I think Townsend is pretty cute now. Must've been half-asleep when I wrote this. O_o;;

I heart both of them way too much to choose and each for their own (different, for the most part) reasons. Lestat was definitely the first vampire I fell in love with but Jean-Claude rocks my socks too.

If you're only talking about books then it's a close race but Jean-Claude wins by a small amount for me, I think the characters are rather alike in their confidence in themselves and their actions. As for compared to the movie Queen of the Damned...Jean-Claude by a milestone, the guy who played Lestat totally ruined it for me. scream

Jean-Claude~ I adore him. Lestat was interesting, but not as enticing to me.
