Xigbar's ear twitched, he was starting to feel even worse for the sorrow that he had unleashed on the others. It was his fault they felt like this, he shouldn't have said anything...
"Well..."
He sighed, what was he supposed to say? You can't just get over memories like that, even he still wanted to break down and scream, he thought he might do that later actually...either that or get drunk, maybe both. But they couldn't just sit here and wallow in it, that would just make them feel worse, and he already felt bad enough as it was.
"I don't know...maybe we just have to...believe in each other..."
His head fell, a distant look in his eye as if caught by some far off memory from a different lifetime. It was faint, barely noticeable, but the scarred audio seemed to straighten a bit in that moment, some deep strength returning to him. Maybe they weren't so lost after all...
His hand fell from Axel's shoulder to take the report from the other. He looked at it for a moment before crumpling the paper.
"And this...forget it. This time we'll write our own."
His arms wrapped around the others' shoulders in a friendly gesture. He thought of saying 'let's go get drunk', but he didn't think that'd go over too well.
"We're here now, right, that's all that matters."

Axel felt a little overwhelmed. Xigbar wasn't who he thought he was, he was actually.. like a real person. and that was a little scary, cause if Xigbar could be that real and he was second in charge...what was Xemnas hiding?
And Demyx.. Well, Axel just felt like an a** for dragging him into this. If he had told him to get lost while they were in the main room, or if he just..hadn't gotten close to him to begin with. It always seemed like the redhead hurt the ones he cared for the most.
Axel ran a hand down his face, massaging his temples with outstretched fingers. "I need a drink. A hard one."
Xemnas would kil them if he found out they had destroyed the report. Oddly enough, the feeling in the pit of his stomach wasn't that empty hollow sick feeling of dread, but something like..the joy of rebellion. Now where had he felt that before?

Demyx listened to the other two, ears flattening back. He sensed Xigbar's sudden shift in attitude. Well...now he seemed a lot more like Demyx remembered him. That was good, at least he seemed to have his thoughts collected for the moment.
Now, Axel seemed to be another story. He was getting...frustrated? but...why? Demyx stared up at him a moment, trying to think of something to say.
"As much as everything hurts..." Demyx looked back and forth between the two, before pulling them both closer in a sort of group hug. "I wouldn't give this up for anything...I'd rather feel empty than lose the chance to have you two as friends..."
That said, Demyx released them and busied himself with wiping the tears from his eyes...even as they continued to flow.

Xigbar tried to remain strong, to keep his thoughts, but despite the distant strength he found, it was still a struggle. Still, he had to keep himself together, it's what he would have wanted...right?
He started at Demyx's words. He knew the kid was more than the oblivious naive spaz he usually appeared to be, but he hadn't expected to hear that from him. Actually he'd have been surprised to hear it from anyone, but there was a ring of truth to those words. The scarred canine's expression softed and for a brief moment there was a geniune smile on his maw.
"Yeah..."
His tail flicked behind him as he debated what more he could say. But he'd said enough already hadn't he, it was time to lighten the mood. Yes...a drink sounded like a good idea, make that a lot of drinks.
"Now...let's go get that drink shall we."

Axel smiled at Demyx. Silly kid. "Same here. I wouldn't trade these memories for anything." His sad smile shifted into a grin and he smacked his hands together, rubing the gloved palms against one another. "Now! Anybody know where thye keep the bar in this place? It's big enough, it's gotta have a sweet stash..." He looked excitedly between Demyx and Xigbar. A drink.
Egads, but he hadn't had a drink in ages. Not since that time he lit the bar on fire...but it was an accident! Stupid barkeep made him pay for the damages, too.
Well, this'd be more fun. Better to drink with friends than drink alone, right?

"Er...bar? Drink?..." Demyx looked between the two, tail twitching slightly. "You mean like...juice? Or...soda?...Or........water?"
Yep, straight back to good old oblivious Demyx.
"The kitchen has stuff...unless you mean....." Demyx blinked, suddenly realizing that wasn't exactly what Axel was talking about. "Ohhhh....you mean like...liquor. Nope...don't know where they keep that..."
The blonde turned to Xigbar, head tilting a bit. "Do you know Xiggy?"

Xigbar scratched behind his ear for a moment as if contemplating before a mischevious smirk crossed his maw. His tail flicked as his hands fumbled in his pockets, searching for something. Ah-hah, there it is. A moment later he pulled a small key from one pocket and leaned in toward the others as if telling a secret.
"Mm-hmm. Shhh...swiped it from the boss years ago, he still doesn't know it was me."
