Lucas Bishop X.S.E. Jonah Hex Bought a cheapie copy of 'Street Fighter II' a few weeks back. Can't believe that game was EVER cool... You obviously haven't pwned somebody 100 times in a row. The happiness, the joy of crushing your roommates and friends is almost unparalleled in the universe. Ill admit, theres nothing like unleasing an ol'skool-jump kick-uppercut-fireball-hurricane kick combo in a 2d fighter. 3nodding

My mother buying me something? Not gonna happen. I'm paying for her gas and food as it is right now.
I was, at first, most eager for the Revolution/Wii. Ultimate backwards compatibility is very nice, but I imagine one will have to re-purchase the games from Nintendo, which isn't so nice. The oh-so-awkward controllers are another minus. So I'm not sure on that.
But on the other hand, the PS3 will have Silent Hill 5. I...cannot say no to that.
So I'll probably be searching for a PS3 first, since I still have my Super Nintendo and can easily steal my brother's Gamecube.

Most likely, I myself will get a PS3. But only if a game I really REALLY want comes out for it. That's how I got my PS2, I was dying to get Kingdom Hearts.
I'll probably get a premium 360 for my little bro by his birthday/Christmas.
As for the Revolution/Wii? We didn't get the Gamecube until it was $100 plus a free game (Mario Kart: Double Dash). There is nothing (not even the uber-purdy LOZ:TP or the ability to download the original Paper Mario) that will make me get it when it first comes out.

I was born Nintendo and I'll die Nintendo. Though hopefully with a fairy in my bottle when I do so.
Likely to wait a while on the Wii though. Glad I have done with the DS as the new 'Lite' version looks much swishier.

I'm a Sony guy but I'm in no rush to go our and buy a new console. Hell, I've got PS1 games that I still haven't beat. On the fine day that I actually complete Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy VIII and Silent Hill 2 I might consider buying a new game or console.

Technologically speaking the Wii seems to be by far the most impressive in terms of what it could do, but it's really in the hands of the developers. The main reason I see the GameCube as an abject failure is that while early on they had the Resident Evil and Final Fantasy franchises all locked up, they failed to get the most high profile releases from either and the RE-make program was an abject failure after the first one. A port is not a remake. After that, Nintendo got ******** all for interesting exclusives AFAIK. I bought a PS2 so that I could finally play Outbreak, FF-X, and FFX-2. So I'll be fence sitting until we see who gets what in the development department.

I was born a PC gamer, I will die a PC gamer. The closest they've come to nabbing me for consols yet is the Wii. Yeah, you heard me. WEEEEEEE! It's the only system that from what I can see offers a vast library of games I know I'll enjoy along with a hand-hend controller to play live-action-virtual-pong with. But considering that I already play pingpong in the real world and that emulators have already given me Legend of Mana and Breath of Fire on the PC....why the hell do I need a consol? The release of the PS3 and the 360 are fine things. Good for the people who like them. But really, the costs are astronomical. There's not way to justify it at all. They're overpriced systems boasting tons 'o stuffthat, as far as I can see, is all superfluous. And I can continuously upgrade my PC and it's god word processing. Can I type an essay in PS3? No? Well what's it got that my PC doesn't got? Final Fantasy? Zelda? Well gee, what can I do but sit here and cry because I instead have a wide variety of bootlegged games and tons of generally better quality PC games to play...Better still, any game released exclusively for consol that garners extreme adulation by the masses for being a really good game will cross to the PC. It's inevitable. It's how you make money. If I really really need to play something, I'd rather go to someone's house. I don't game often enough to warrent the cost of these little plastic boxes (kudos to 360 for the faceplates though. Bout time someone realized that was a good idea).

The XBox 360 is totally worth it. Just the controller by itself is like sex... But better because it's wireless. ninja

My choice by far will be the Wii !! Smash Bros and Zelda !. You can't go wrong there...
Yet I'll buy the 360 anyway if only for the Star Wars exclusive titles sweatdrop .

I grabbed a pro-bundle XBox 360 today, along with GRAW and CoD2, and it rocks! This should keep me happy until the Revolution (and all the cools stuff Microsoft showed at E3) comes out later on in the year! blaugh

I think I'll get the Wii too, is just to find out what the deal is with it. I know I should probably try out that funky controller before buying it, but I feel like taking a chance.
