Actually there was a bit in the bible about homosexuals, but you have to delve deeper then just the words.
Sodom and Gemorah were destroyed because the men wanted to pretty much gang rape the angels.
In the times of the written word, it was common to take a virgin and force her to marry and have sex, to have children.
It says "A man shall not lay with another man, as a woman, for it is immoral" Meaning a man should not steal another man, and make him, his own.
in the bible is says "nor homosexuals.....shall enter the kingdom of heaven" Paul was talking about catamites. Which refer to male prostitutes, and child molestors.
It was very uncommon for gay couples to be out in those times at that place, because it was forbidden, not by God, but by man.
Still today in the middle east, there are places that if the gov't knew you were gay, you could be hung, or shot.
People intepret the Bible to their own ways. That doesn't mean it's right.
Hitler wanted to be one of the closest to God, so he gathered a following to kill Jews for turning their back on Christ, Homosexuals, other races.
He wanted the perfect race of man to be in heaven, thinking he was doing Godly work.

Oh I forgot to mention, I myself am a non-denominational Christian.
In the words of Marilyn Manson "I never hated the one true God, but the god of the people I hated"
God is an all powerful force, not necisarily a being. People take and contort the Bible and mix it with their own beliefs.
God can be compared to the air. You can't see, smell, hear, or taste it. But you can feel it, and see the tings it does. You can turn a fan on a pinwheel and it'll spin.
God is the same way. You may not notice it, but it happens.
People in hospitals die each day, and are brought back.
Yes you use electricity to jump start the heart back,but its more than that.
People with deadly diseases are cured. In the bible Lepersy(sp?) was healed.
There is also physical proof that the Bible events were real. In the middle east near Jordan, where Golgotha is, there is a rock that looks like a skull.
Where Lot's wife turned back to the city of Sodom, there is a rock that looks like a woman.
There are also events that science cannot prove, the weeping mary statues, when a person dies, 6 pounds instantly goes away from the body. Most believe this is the soul leaving the body.
Christians say that only humans have a soul, so therefore they're the only beings that will enter heaven or hell.
What makes us different from animals, a conscience.
Some Scientists will say that Christ could never be nailed through his hands, or the nails would have ripped through. There is a small hold between the bones in the hand, right in the middle that would have held Christ to the cross.
But the main thing about Christianity, is faith. Believing in something without any evidental proof.

That was...great.. But..It basically says what we knew. Homosexuals can't go into heaven..Wait..does it say anything about bisexuals? biggrin I MIGHT STILL HAVE A CHANCE!!! xd

But doesn't it say thou shalt not kill?..Well he didn't TECHNICALLY kill anyone...

Hitler was a nutcase, but without the 3rd Reich, we'd not have tanks, submarines (the way they are now, since the russians invinted the idea)
and Helicopters.

KaitlynintheGoal I am a Christian. You have to understand the difference between church doctrine and what being a Christain really is. Church doctrine is something which the church as a body has collected and made over the last 2 centeries to help guide and govern its people according to its understanding of the scripture laid down for them. Doctrine changes, and evolves as time evolves. A few hundred years ago doctrine stated that people could do no work on sundays, just sit and pray, and that has slowly changed to where it is now. Same with marrying outside of ones religion, one time it was not allowed, even so much as outside of the dinomination (such as Lutheran, which I am, to a baptist.) These doctrines tried to help the people according to the knowledge of the time, such as the whole not eating pork thing. If pork is not perpared the right way, it can carry many dangerous organisms in it, and so by laying it down in doctrine, it protected the people. Homosexual relationships do not produce children, and in a time where a family might need 5 to 10 children to work the fields, not having children would not only hurt that family, but the community around them. So at the time that the doctrine was layed down, it made sense. It takes a long time for doctrine to change, however, it is slowly changing, and it will to progress with the time. Mostly, Christains are not scary people, I know I am not, there are just the fringes that have a loud voice. Those are the ones that are causing the problems, they fear something they have believed their entire life will change and thusly the world as they know it will no longer be the way it is. Will laying with a person of the same sex damn you? I dont know, but I would hope not. Just be a good person, and all else should fall inplace, I hope.. And you've said everything I needed to. Well my family are big christians, have to go to church every sunday, gotta give things up for lent. But i dont believe in god, i accidently told my mom and she is forcing me to go to church, i have no choice. gonk

Hitler was From Jewish decent, and his name was even on the death list. Hitler wasn't gay however. He infact had an incestuous relationship with his niece, including in disturbing sexual fetishes. It was proven that Hitler had a mild case of mental retardation.

Tell your mom you love church so much, you're giving it up for lent next year lol Wow, your an a** And lent isnt really about giving up something important for you, but rather for you to gain empathy for Jesus spending 40 days and 40 nights in the desert resisting the temptations of the devil. And plus, thats like telling someone, ok, if you love being bi so much, you are giving it up for 40 days, basically its the same thing, you are making fun of what someone is. You ask yourself why the fringe is so critical of us as GLBT people, its because of stuff like this. Laugh it up, laugh at a person about who they are, and then remember this moment the next time you are on the ground crying being called a ******** f*****t.
