Calm yourself. The water won't swallow you. It was Rhine's words in her head from her first swim. Embrace your fear.
Is this any different from then? Accident instead of choice... She thought to herself.
Cassara closed her eyes. Her tail laid flat into the shallow waters, next her middle, and lastly her head. Her nostrils filled with water.
Is this giving in? She thought to herself. I'm loosing my self.
She stopped breathing. To grow up we must face our fears, and make friends. Learn who we truly are. It was the words of her sister Tinker.
You cannot give up, or give in. It was her mothers words. A shallow breath from her mouth filled her lungs with water.
Embrace your fear, and except what you are... a Dragon of Fire. Her skin started to heat up, the cold water she was laying in started to form a mist. Her outer scales started to melt from her relieving a shiny under layer.
Slowly she raised her head, and pranced in step Everything about her felt heavy.
She looked to Kaida. She watching her friend who was scratching herself in what looked like agony.
As she took a couple steps forward she had to stop several times to keep herself from staggering into a fall. She didn't know what had happened, or that she had grown.
She did know she had to help her friend. "You alright? What is the mater?"

Cassara's heart almost skipped a beat at Kiada's new form. "You prettier than before, a bit taller, and some what thinner." Cassara winked. "Mom has a mirror in the basket if you want a look."
She pranced from the water, her tail the last to leave. Cassara, herself, was larger. Still the brilliant red she was before, however, her tail looked dipped in ink. Completing her blackened horns that were longer. Thinner body, and sleeker face. The only way to tell Cassara was a girl was her face, and her jewelry. Her wings, however, did not grow all that much.
"I think we best stay away from the water. If they are done eating we can go to the mountains. Good cliffs to climb." Cassara's tail moved thoughtlessly. She still had noticed the adults over looking their show of growth.
Ceres smiled, but didn't let on that she'd seen. After all she considered something of that magnitude a private affair.

“Thanks you look prettier now too, Your Red is even bolder.” Kaida said with a smile. Kaida hopped out of the water and shook to get the execs off her. “I would like to go off to the mountains now.” Kaida said prancing over to where her mother was.
Rose glanced at Ceres and saw that she was pretending to not have noticed the growth and so Rose mimicked her. “So is it cold up in the mountains?” Rose asked, she had packed a scarf and beanie for both her and Kaida in case it was.

"Mountains then..." Cassara smiled. "Mother may we go alone?"
Ceres nodded. "If it is alright with Rose. Just don't go and do something stupid like your brother and climb to the top just to dive off." She giggled.
Cassara looked to Rose. "May we then?"

“Of course you girls may, I’m positive that your both mature enough not to do anything too stupid. And Kaida if you get cold up there remember you have a beanie and a scarf in your backpack.” Rose Said.
“Yes, yes I know you’ve told me so 5 times.” Kaida said. “Come on Cassara lets go.” Kaida said turning around to start walking up the mountain.

Cassara led them through the forest, and to the base of the mountain. "I'd take the pack off and hide it for when we come back. It might get caught on the rocks." She smiled.
She ran her body along the ruff surface and purred, and then dug a claws in. One after the other, and she was on her way. "There arn't many cliffs, or paths." She paused. "Let me know if you want help."

“Ok thanks for the tip.” Kaida said taking her pack off and putting next to a white Rose bush.
“I hope I want need help, I’ve been looking for a challenge I’ve been getting sick of just running around the back yard.” Kaida said copping what Cassara did.

Cassara's long slender form snaked up the mountain side to the first cliff. Disapearing, laying down breathing heavily. "It looks easier." She then looked over the side for Kaida. "You okay?"
Cassara's ears perked a bit. "This is my back yard."

“Looks is the emphasizes word things can be deceiving, my mum has proven this several times…” Kaida said coming to where Cassara rest only slightly out of breath. “Yeah I’m fine, My mum makes sure to keep me fit.” Kaida said leaping up to a rock above Cassara.
“Wow… That’s assume my back yard is so small your s’ is huge…” Kaida said in awe.

Cassara stretched her small wings, and then scratched behind her ear. She then disappeared into the cave.
Giving a few moments for her eyes to adjust she follows the cave through, till it comes back out to another cliff, and an evident path way. She again looks over, and down at Kaida. "You like to do things the hard way?" She purred.
It was as if she was racing Kaida to the top. She then followed the path. "If you climb the side all the way up you'll cut yourself up bad. Rhine did it once, and he ended up in the hospital. Of course he fell a time or to, and then jumped off the top into the ocean." She paused a moment, looking back.

Kaida stretch her wings, they where fairly large the right type for flying.
Kaida followed Cassara onto the other side of the cave. “of course I do who doesn’t.” Kaida said with a wild smile. “Geeze it doesn’t look like it can do that much damage.” Kaida said in shock.

Cassara stoped causing Kaida to run into her. SHe looked dead into her eyes. "Rhine is a swimmer. I am, am well..." She snorted. "A musican."
She growled angry at herself and took to climbling at the side of the mountain again. "Go on use your wings, I'll get there shortly." Her claws dug so deep that rock went under nail and left a trail of blood.
The jewerly she wore caught on the rocks causing marks, but still she climbed. She wished she hadn't worn it. She would remember to put up the collection next time.

“oof.” Kaida said running into Cassara. “My mum says I’m a runner but I don’t want to be I want to dance like the girls on TV but I could never… They have 2 legs I have 4…” Kaida said with a sigh.
“Fly? I’ve never flown I run and run, I’ve never attempted to fly but I’ve seen in theory how it works, Rose fly s’ once a week and I watch her from inside…” Kaida said righting herself after running into Cassara.
Taking a deep breath Kaida closed her eyes and counted to 5 then looked straight ahead, there was just enough of a run way for her to take flight. Kaida readied herself and ran faster than she had ever before stretching out her wings and starting to flap them. She came to the edge of the pathway and jumped, for a second it looked like she would fall but then her wings caught the air and she glided. “Huzza look Cassara I can Fl..” The last bit of her sentence was cut off as a great gust of wind hit her by surprise and she fell… and fell. Her arms flailed here and there until a branch snagged her bracelet, Kaida was still screaming.
Rose looked up from her food and towards the mountains. “Did you hear something?” She asked.
