Zhome The fox boy beamed at seeing his sister seem happier, licking her tears away despite her protests. He'd make her happy, no matter what it took, or his own mood, that he swore to himself slightly! If was as he did that to himself, his aunt asked him for another promise, and that one he nodded eagerly in reply to. "I promise!" It was already his plan, to stay by her side. He had all their lives, and he'd continue to, whether it involved tutoring her, fighting her, fighting for her, whatever... So of course he moved to give his sister a very tight hug, more than enough to push out any air in her lungs as well.

Zhome Zhome let his sister go after a bit, beaming happilly at the change in mood she had. Before she was so sad, and now, she seemed plenty happy! And it was his doing! So, he had nothing left to do, but be as happy as he could. The longing for being an elf? That could wait for now. At hearing of the choice of meals, the child couldn't do anything but bark in joy, starting to run circles around his aunt. The gears in his head were quickly racing, turning over multiple meals he might want.. And after a bit, all were rejected, instead a simple thing that would be even better! "I want to eat whatever sister chooses!" He shouted loudly, nodding and moving in turn to nuzzle his sister and aunts.

The little girl shifted as the pressure was moved to her. "Aaa..." She shifted some more, chewing her lower lip. "Wha bout....." she pondered it a moment. Before finding she didn't care too much what they ate, everything aunty made was good.. so. "Suprise!"
"Hm?" Their aunt blinked, "Suprise us." Arafel repeated with a big grin. Shrugging and smiling, she nodded, she did know thei r favorite meals pretty well... She figured she could suprise them with something they liked. "Alright then, you two go wash up and I'll get dinner started..."
The rest of the night was wonderful, the twins got whatever they wanted the whole night through. Even allowed to stay up until they crashed where they stood. The next morning wasn't as lovely though... The two awoke to the sounds of banging on the door. Their Aunt crying, and pleading with some old stranger not to do something... Though it wasn't stated what, it could be assumed it pertained to them due to the 'they're too young' line.
Someone pulled her aside to reason with her, as the elder man moved towards the two mixed-breed children. He was easally reconizable as one of the elders.. Arafel blinked, rubbing at her eyes sleepily as she watched the commotion. A frown forced itself on her face as she scooted closer to her Oniisan. Her tail tucked between her legs.. While she had no idea what was going on, it didn't seem good.

All the rest of that night Zhome was in a state of bliss. He was utterly happy, loved, and comfortable, not to mention full as well. It was a good thing that the night went so well, since it would be all they had to keep them warm some cold nights before long.
The time slept wasn't comparable to the night preceding it, but it was an intermixed thing. Dreamy children taunting interspaced the night with an angelic sibling and older woman, rescuing and torturing in various interchanging segments. But that was behind him, and morning found him curled up and sprawled on his sister, nomming her ear gently(and adorably) in his sleep.
Shouting and a grumpy looking elf came with conciousness, the child letting loose a large yawn and starting to sit. "Good morning elder..." He murmered before the previous days' events clicked in place. That click was very audible too, presented as a sudden freezing of all of Zhome's form, the color draining slightly, and the eyes looking honoringly to in horror at the elder.
