i wouldnt quite call it transparent, but i am a fan of greyscale tho
i am by no means an artist, so i dont know, and i'm sure i'll get smacked around for suggesting this (help me! they beat me when you leave!) but if you were to put it into colour, you could perhaps make the wings behind a different colour, and just put hints of it through the wings in front to give the illusion of transparency (please help me, they have sharp objects crying )

so, instead of drawing the dark lines for the legs through the shirt, do them a soft transition into a medium grey (not too dark, you want it to create a sort of vague impression of the form below) where the shape of the legs/hips are.
