Human of course. I mean I love animals, but humans could help the world much more than the animal could.
Then it goes to the other side when if the endangered animal does something no one elce can to keep the environment balenced or keep another species from overpopulation.
Like others have said its a hard question and it all matters on the situation.

Save the turtles and the whalies and all of the animals that need saving!! They are both as important as each other. I don't think we should value human lives over animals. I know it's awful to lose people to diseases and stuff such as cancer, but we are talking about the total obliteration of a species! meaning no more of that kind of animal left! I think they are equally as important. Even so, I'm more for the make poverty history organisations, because I believe everything, people and animals, deserve a fair chance at life.

What a crazy concept.
I think we ARE animals first of all, and animals do what they must to survive. Not that I'm nessecarily trying to imply anything on either side of the "polarity" with this but the fact being I think implies that those with animalistic tendancies are going to do what they must to survive.
Whatever they think that is.
Personally I think I put the planet before myself (in my ideals of how things should work) and I think a race with a population as great as ours is just bad majanga for a planet of our's diversity and size. So, although I believe that you should help anyone that needs it, I think it would be a better focus to work on reducing our population.
So I guess I'm implying that I would rather donate money to save an endagered animal, because it's doing two good things at once. Of course, I don't think the human race is nasty and a plague and deserves death but let's face it, our population is too grand. We could do something about it peacefuly or we could just wait for the inevitable. I think option #2 is what it'll really boil down to.
