Amaya gasped as she saw two big blue eyes staring right at her. She calmed down when she realised it was Sirenz. The wooden bureau felt icy cold as she pried up her shivering body to her feet. Outside, the thunder was still brewing louder than before. Every burst of lightning was followed by a shrill crack of thunder.
Amaya's tiny body shook with all her pain of lonliness as she walked over to Sirenz and flew up on her shoulder.
"Mommy, I feel so depressed. I haven't met any of the other animas. I think none of them like me" she wiped a silver tear from her eye. Then she wrapped her tiny arms as far as they would go around Sirenz neck..giving a hug.

Sirenz sighed. Her lil anima needed friends..but what should she do? She wasn't the best at making friends either. Suddenly, she had an idea.
"Amaya, why don't we host a party in our home and invite all the lil animas? We could make gifts for them. I'm sure you would meet friends in no time" she said turning her head towards Amaya and facing her.
Amaya's sullen mouth tickled at the edges and bent into a smile. Sirenz felt so much better.

Sirenz and Melancholy got back from the party and were so exhausted. "Hon..I'm going to go take a nap" said Sirenz.
Melancholy nodded and drifted off to her room. She made so many new friends and her head was bursting with livliness. "I couldn't possibly sleep right now!" she shouted, "I can't stop thinking about how fun my party was".
She felt happy for the first time it seemed. This feeling was so different from being sad. Her body gave her so much warmth instead of coldness. Melancholy leaped upon her bed and jumped on it. It was so much fun bouncing up and down!! wheeeee xd
Sirenz rubbed her eyes sleepily. "What's that sound?" she asked herself and decided it was coming from Melancholy's room.
When she opened up the door, Melancholy was bouncing like Tigger all over her bed and looked so happy. The scene made Sirenz smile and it brought tears to her eyes.
"Awww..hon! You look so ..so happy! I never seen you like this" she said and went over to hug her cute anima.
Melancholy edged away from the hug because she didnt' know what Sirenz was doing. She never felt a hug before. "What are you?" she said furrowing her brow.
"Why darling, I'm just hugging you. I feel so overjoyed at your happiness. Sorry if I startled you" Sirenz said and backed away.
Melancholy smiled and jumped in Sirenz arms, hugging her. "It's ok, mom! I feel so happy. I hope one of my anima friends can come over sometime and play" she said.
Sure they can!!!
