I don't agree entirely.
We were also given brains.
Which explains how we can eat meat in the first place.
Even though I'm veg,
Technically,
I have to disagree.

I'm glad most of you know what you're talking about. Right now I'm not in the mood nor do I feel like digging up facts to argue against a post without such facts.
So this means I'll be posting later. Thanks for those who responded with more logical arguments.

The only meat humans are 'meant' to eat is bone marrow. They are definitely not natural hunters, but anyway, the fact something is natural doesn't make it healthy or morally right. I hate getting into those arguments, too. ><

How about a little run down on why the table makes no sense? First off, what is an "omnivore"? Or, rather, what isn't an "omnivore"? A good read for anybody who thinks humans are "naturally vegetarian": Series of Articles at BeyondVeg.com

I hate getting into those arguments, too. >< I was wondering what you meant by humans eating bone marrow, so I looked it up. Fatty Acids, important to human human developement, are found in that. Brain Food, Ok, then. wink I think I shall skip on eating that though.

Soymilk_Gun first off it says that it is "impossible" for humans to survive without animal protein...tell that to india where folks have been veg for generations Here's a little fact about those Indians--to prove that, yes, it IS impossible for humans to survive without ingesting at least a few animal products. The fact is, seriously, in India, the food that they eat isn't properly washed, and so by ingesting these plants they're also ingesting animal waste, and possibly dead insects, and anything else like that that might've found its way into the food. From that they're getting an important nutrient found only in animal products (including animal waste)--vitamin B12. If they had properly washed and sterilized their foods then they probably would've all suffered sever nerve damage as well as anemia, and thus eventually die out from sickness. As it stands, it's impossible to NATURALLY be vegan--as in, no synthetic or enriched foods--because nothing naturally has B12 except for animal products. But in today's society, there's plenty out there that's enriched with B12, so as it stands it's perfectly safe to be vegan.

Quote: It has long been assumed that B12 is produced by bacteria in the large intestine (aka the colon), but since B12 is produced below the ileum (where B12 is absorbed), it is not available for absorption. This theory is reinforced by the fact that many species of totally or primarily vegetarian animals eat their feces. It is surmised that eating feces allows them to obtain B12 on their diets of plant foods. http://www.veganhealth.org/b12/int
