"Honeysuckle Principal Patsy Slaughter"
That cracks me up, right there.
But yeah, it's all just homophobes worrying about getting a p***s up their a** or something along those lines.
If you ask me, homophobes really should get raped. THey deserve it.

I think things are going to progress, at least I hope they do. It sucks how school systems can be.

Ya...We're just about to start the Sex Ed. portion of the Health Unit in my P.E. class and I know for a fact that none of it includes on how to have safe "gay" sex, or any other information on the other side of things. It drives me crazy with how school boards are so discriminatory. Ya they can say "Some people aren't comfortable discussing those issues OR Some people's religious beliefs don't agree with homosexuality." and whatever other bullshit they want to pull. The thing is, why are we catering to specific people and their beliefs. Gays have to listen to the same information about straight sex over and over again, so why don't straight people learn about gay sex? Why won't they teach it so that if there is someone in class who needs to know they will know! We need just as much education as everyone else. I think I'm going to ask why they don't teach that in school when we start...Anywho...ya.
That thing about the abortion s**t...Uggh, I hate it how the government is so ******** biased and all the politicians coat their political standings on their religious beliefs and such. Ya, politicians differ from each other because of their veiws on things, but just because we voted for them doesn't mean that we agree with their religious views. ((Am I making any sense...I'm having trouble with what I'm tryign to say...errg. >_<)) Uhm, ok...ehh... They shouldn't put out bullshit information to twist people's minds on such touching subjects. If they don't agree with it, fine, they don't agree with it, but that does NOT give them the right to put out false information to make everyone else feel the same.

It's not just the United States that has it bad. I live in Canada and I've had three sexual education classes (if you can call them that):
- One in grade six about growing up. The nurse didn't even talk about sex. - One in grade eight that was a video that said that condoms don't protect against HIV. We didn't even finish watching the video before the end of classes. - A video in art class about growing up, but I don't know whether to count it.
It may be because I live in Alberta and go to a Catholic school (although my school has a group talk to us about GLBT issues in religion), but I don't understand why we don't learn anything about sex in general or why teachers always wait until there isn't any time left to learn about something that can affect someone's life so drastically.
As far as education about gay sex goes wouldn't it be something that could apply to heterosexual couples as well? I don't see why they don't just teach it and not mention homosexuals specifically. While I think it would be bad that the schools would be turning their heads to homosexuality, at least people would know how to protect themselves.
About the abortion thing, I hate how the government lies in order to get people to believe them. They're there to represent people, not push their own personal beliefs (at least that's what I've been told for years).
