BevinKB Unromantic_Phantom I heard about a couple of music videos made for POTO when the musical first came out...I think Steve Harley may have sung the male part for any of that. He was originally hoping to play the phantom, but the ALW decided to cast Crawford (sounds vaguely familiar...). Crawford was actually disappointed to be cast as the phantom because it meant he had to play the older, unattractive man. Originally he wanted to play Raoul since he gets the girl in the end, but he came to love the part of the phantom. I have heard that Crawford is the best understudy ever! Heck, I woldn't mind if Crawford was Roaul when I play Christine. wink Don't get me wrong, I love the guy's voice, but I don't find Michael Crawford sexually attractive. I just thought it was funny that he had orignially wanted to play the pansy instead of the much cooler character simply because he got to run off with the girl at the end.

Yes, it was Steve Harley that sang the pre-ALW Phantom song. Some of the lyrics are different, but it still has the same beat and stuff. I like it. The music video is very... 80s surprised I especially like the party with the chandelier at the end. It made me laugh.
Another music video that REALLY reminded me of Phantom: Laura Branigan's "Self Control". Basically, she keeps running into this guy with a white mask, who wears all black. Eventually, she goes with him, and he takes her to this place with all of these weird dancers and crap, and she... loses her self control. XP
It's actually pretty good, lol.

Actually, that story about MC thinking he was playing Raoul is mostly exaggerated. Crawford wrote the story for a comedy segment of his In Concert Tour. Remember, he was a comedian before he was in musicals.
And no, he's not retired. Last I checked he was playing Count Fosco in ALW's new musical, The Woman in White.
I have all the official Phantom Music Video's on DVD, but it'd be nice to have them on the computer, too... So if anyone feels like sending me any: phantomofthefox@hotmail.com ^___^
Any and all clips from the 2004 movie would also be appreciated. I had plans to make a few of my own music videos, but I can't find any clips to make them from.

Check out the music video in my multimedia, it's a music video I found on youtube... I wish I'd made it... XD It's a music video to the song Pretty Girl... and it's just so eerily good... especially how it fits the line "And that's what you get for falling again, you can never get him out of your head."
