"You bolt down the furniture, build it out of ceramic because metal melts too easily and rust is a pain to get out of the carpet. What's more, a carpet needs to be flame retardant," S-D began. "You teach them from very early on who's the leader or boss because otherwise they'll become territorial or posessive. You feed them exactly what they eat because there's nothing messier than a very large reptile with indigestion and cholic can sometimes be fatal. Based on what they are you may have to give them calcium supplements..."
Damaris nodded with wild enthusiasm, eager to see the other fish in the tank before the day was out. Without even thinking about it, Damaris took Earako's hand in her own and waited to be led.

"You sound like you know what you're talking about." Michael commented, as he followed the girls around another corner. Did they have to make these places so twisty? He would have liked a few straight lines, just for effect. "I'm just moving into a new place, so I guess it won't be so hard to make some changes." He shook his head, looking slightly disappointed. "I liked the apartment, but it wasn't exactly big enough for a dragon."
Earako accepted the younger girls hand without so much as a blink, though there was a slight smile at the younger girls trust. She was starting to discover that she liked to be around younger children. "Look, this is a puffer fish. That was in Nemo too, remember?"

S-D followed with a slow kind of lope, hands stuffed into his pockets. "That's because when the time is right, or wrong as the case may be, I become a wyrm two stories tall and my lover has to break out the chains and harness and hide the kids. It's not as frequent as it used to be, I'm taking medication and now I can shift at will, though it gives me really bad stomach problems."
Damaris nodded with enthusiasm and pointed to an octopus and shouted, "OCTOPUS!!" so loudly that it echoed through the aquarium. "Oops!" she clapped her hand over her mouth and started laughing into it. "I wanna learn to scoo-ba an' wear flippers!"

(( I'm closing this RP. ^^" I hope you don't mind, Lithle. ))
It was overall not a bad time at the aquarium that day. With Earako content to show Damaris what everything was, S-D was inclined not to stop her. He was lazy as far as teaching her things that didn't interest him. S-D was always a bit of a selfish man, Damaris had been the first child he was designated to raise that wasn't his own.
Damaris insisted on taking scuba lessons all the way home, wearing all the swag and playing with the toys S-D had bought her from the aquarium's gift shop. He was at least considerate enough to ask Earako and Michael for their phone number and mailing address so Damaris had someone else to play with when they felt the need to interact with a hyperactive lizard child.
