 Saix's eyes grew wide...no way...he counted wrong! IMPOSSIBLE! He wouldn't lose! He wouldn't! But at that moment Demyx came out of no where...distracting Saix long enough for the shot to hit him right through the heart. "Demyx you idiot..." Saix said this as his body fell once again landing full force onto the ground way below. A loud thud was heard and Saix laid limp on the ground, a bullet hole right were his heart was.

Xigbar smirked as his aim struck true. But his energy was spent, and he landed hard on the floor, collapsing to his knees, gasping for breath. For a man who had just shot another through the heart, he didn't seem all that concerned. Maybe it was because he knew better, there was nothing there too shoot. Doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt though.
Struggling to his feet again, injured arm hanging limp at his side, he took to look at Demyx a moment, too out of breath to speak a response, he simply shook his head and tried to indicate something to the effect of 'in a minute'.
Still holding his weapons, he summoned more ammo, reloading as he walked toward where Saix had fallen. He looked down at the still form, yellow eye narrowed. He kicked Saix, or more like nudged him with his foot.
"Get up."

The cookies, for once, were forgotten by Demyx, the snacks crashing to the ground as he stared horrified at Xigbar and the now fallen Saix.
"You...you...shot him..."
He certainly didn't like Saix, but he didn't want to see any of them hurt!
"He's...he's...."
Body trembling, Demyx stared at Saix's unmoving form. He had no idea they didn't have hearts, so to him it looked like a fatal wound.
Whimpering, the blonde backed away, struggling to remain upright even as his body told him to faint. Why couldn't Axel be here? Or Bax? Someone to run to and get away from the horrifying image. But, alas, it was like a train wreck. Once his innocent green eyes fell on the scene he simply could not pull himself away.

A groan was heard. Saix was alive. "Xigbar you a*****e that stings!" He said as he picked himself up off the floor and brushing himself off. "You ruined my coat! Damn you! You see this hole?! How the hell am I going to fix this hole!? HUH!? You tell me how!" Saix was pissed, there was a hole in his coat and in his chest, it stung and Saix HATED losing. "You owe me a new coat Xigbar!" Saix looked at Demyx and then at the fallen cookies. "You dropped them? ..............you really are an idiot, I wanted one!"

"Tch... serves you right for almost taking off my arm."
He dismissed his weapon, now fulling the full force of the pain throbbing in his shoulder. Saix's was the only robe that was torn, Xigbar had nearly lost the sleeve of his, and blood could be seen flowing down his arm from the slash on his shoulder.
"Good match, better luck next time."
Xigbar smirked, but the smirk faded when he looked up to see Demyx, trembling and with the cookies at his feet. Oh hell.... He quickly walked forward and hastened to pick up the cookies, this was going to be hard to explain.

Demyx yelped in surprised as Saix got back up, trembling even more than before.
"I....I...have more...but...but...how?!"
He looked back and forth from Saix to Xigbar, wondering just what the hell was going on.

Saix glared at Xigbar. "This was your idea in the first place so there." Then he looked at the trebling Demyx. "How what? How could I want a cookie? I haven't eaten in days..." He looked down. "Oh. You mean that? Demyx please tell me you're not that stupid. You don't remember that none of us have hearts?"

Xigbar groaned as Saix spoke to Demyx, well that definitely wasn't the best way to explain it... Placing his hand to his forehead he growled low as he massaged his temples. This was going to give him a headache, he just knew it, not that he'd be able to feel it over the throbbing in his shoulder.
"I wasn't trying to kill him..."

Demyx slowly walked forward, looking over the seemingly okay Saix...except for the hole in his chest.
"And...what do you mean? We have to have hearts...don't we?..."
Demyx cast a glance at Xigbar.
"Nice way of showing that! You SHOT him!"

"Blah blah blah Xigbar. It was still your idea."
He stared at Demyx, he never understood anything...ever. "We-Have-No-Hearts!" Saix put his hand through the hole. "See?! NOTHING! ...and yeah I'm fine. It would take a lot more than Patchy The Pirate and his gun to take me down." Saix put his hand on Demyx's head. "Number one, don't interfere with a fight you have no business in. Number two, this was a sparring match, we were not going to kill eachother. And number three, grow a back bone. I'm not going to die, none of us are." Saix was being uncharacteristically nice to Demyx, maybe because he was finally asking some questions that got somewhere other than 'I wonder what this button does!'

Xigbar snorted and lifting his good hand toward Saix, flipped him ******** off."
He turned, yellow eye fixed on Demyx, the hand that held the cookies he'd picked up balled into a fist, crumbs falling to the ground at his feet. The gesture was partly out of frustration, and partly because of the throbbing pain radiating down his arm.
"Yes, I did shoot him, I also knew it wouldn't kill him. And in case you didn't notice, he'd have done the same to me given the chance."
He sighed and shook his head. When he looked at Demyx again, his expression softened, and a faint smile crossed his maw.
"Don't worry so much, kid."
He lifted his paw as much as he could and offered the fallen cookies to Demyx.

Demyx trembled under the touch, listening intently to Saix's words.
"But you guys were hurting each other..."
His ears flattened back, eyes welling with tears.
"It didn't seem like a very friendly fight..."
He sighed, eyeing the crumbling cookies Xigbar held. So much for those.
"How...can we not have hearts?...and none of us are going to die? Really?...Promise?..."
One had to wonder if it was a blessing, or a curse to be so naive and innocent.
"I just want to understand...I can't help but worry!"
Demyx made no attempt to get the cookies from Xigbar. Quite frankly, both of them were scaring him...and for once cookies were not on his priority list.

Saix growled. "I'll bite that finger off if you're not careful."
Demyx, ever the bright eyed and bushy tailed questioner. "Urgh! Slow the hell down! One friggen question at a time!" Saix groaned. "Fights arn't friendly and people get hurt in them, that's why they are called fights. If no one got hurt they'd be called 'happy fun playtime'. But they don't. You following me being mullet head?" Saix flicked Demyx's forehead. "We don't have hearts. Simple. I don't know how, we just don't. Patchy might know, but I don't, know how, I just...know. And as far as no one dying, I don't plan on killing anyone or having anyone die while I'm around. That includes you and Axel, Demyx." He wasn't really a cold hearted a*****e. He couldn't be, he didn't have a heart to be cold in the first place.

Xigbar shot his own snarl at Saix, "Try it and I'll put another hole in your chest."
He looked back at Demyx, he didn't understand, how could he, how could anyone understand. He let his hand fall, what was left of the cookies falling to the ground as he turned away, he didn't want to look at either of them right now.
"Yeah well...maybe I wanted to be hurt...maybe I wanted....to remember..."
Without turning, he growled at Saix, he was getting really tired of those stupid nicknames, but he didn't feel like responding anymore than that.
"Yes, I know...ask me about it some other time."

Demyx whimpered slightly as he was flicked, rubbing his forehead with a gloved paw.
"er...kay.....I'll ask you later Xiggy..."
Aww Xiggy...that was cute. Hopefully Xigbar didn't kill him for calling him that.
"You'll keep me and Axel safe too? Really?"
Demyx perked up a bit at that. Horray! Saix didn't have any intention of killing his friend! That was good!
"I miss him Saix..."
Ah, but the perkiness went away immediately, Demyx's ears flattening back and his tail drooping in sadness.
