I think FAKE was pretty much everyone's first yaoi. It was mine. As for the art, I love it. It makes it unique from all the other yaoi. Plus, we must remember that techniques have been refined and surpassed from 1994 when FAKE was written and drawn.
I've been into yaoi for at least a year now.. and I just read/bought Fake at Otakon last weekend.
And I love it! I just need to buy the seventh volume...
