"Tricks? You mean like magic tricks? Like making bunnies appear from hats?" Paestri giggled, clapping her hands in delight.
Ooooo, I like her... yes I do. Malady nodded, cackling manaically.
That's good, liking people is very good. she informed Malady. As Ulna turned to April, Paestri did the same.
"Hi, I'm Paestri, are you Ulna's friend too?" the pink haired girl smiled, turning to April. "You're pretty too." she nodded.
Huni quirked a brow at Matisha, wondering what the other guardian meant by it. Still, she shrugged and continued to watch Paestri, just in case. She turned to Caroline and smiled, "What's your little girl's name?" she asked.
((what's wrong, caroline? O_O))

She had been keeping him all to herself. She knew that it was selfish and wrong, but on occasion, like when one recieved something they thought they never would, it was only natural not to want to share it.
She'd been sleeping more than usual too, which presented its own problems. It had taken her awhile to realize her additional zzzz's were a result of Task's influence. She didn't let him nap in her room anymore. It took all her concentration not to fall asleep when checking on him. The boy just really wanted to have his guardian around, even if he had to infiltrate her dreams by way of inducing a sleep state, to accomplish it.
He was in his more child-like form today, for which Quinn was grateful. There was just something peculiar about such knowing eyes peering at you from the face of an animal. Picking a bit of muck off of one of his budding horns, Quinn took Task by his upper right hand and led him at last to the door of the HQ.
This was to be a special day. Task was to be introduced to the others.

Malady tilted its head towards the HQ's door momentarily, it had sensed another presence was arriving but thought not to say anything to Paestri. The Intangible reverted its attention back to Ulna and its shattered eyes widened in manic glee at the sight of the Tarantula. I like her... it said to Paestri.
"What are pwanks?" Paestri asked, cocking her head cutely to the side, genuinely unaware of the nature of pranks. "And Mr. Itchy looks fluffy, fluffy is good." she nodded brightly, reaching out to stroke the large spider.

April peered curiously over Paestri's shoulder eyeing Itchy. "Wh-what's that?" she waggled a short cubby finger towards the tarantula in fear. April had no problems with an insect of any sort, but was strangely frightened by not knowing what IT was. She gradually came out from behind the mocha colored and pink haired stranger reaching out for Itchy. "It looks so much fun!" A tiny giggled danced in her ears as she kissed the tarantula on the head. With an agreeing nod, April looked to Paestri with a chuckle. "Fluffy is a cute name for it!"

Opening the HQ door slowly, Quinn led Task into the entry, taking care so his hooves would not slip on the wood flooring. Task stared, wide-eyed, at the three girls playing and chatting together.
...I wonder what there dreams feel like... He had never met others like him before. Unsure where to begin, he clip-clopped over to the girls, holding out three of his hands, a slight blush in his cheeks, and announced, "I'm Task... Can I play with you?"
Quinn was shocked at her charge's brave display. Maybe this wouldn't be as challenging as she had imagined...

Huni had almost fallen into a state of relaxation when she felt something brush against her ankle. She peered down, jade eyes widening in something akin to horror mixed with disgust. Needless to say, Huni was soon screaming her head off at the sight of the tarantula.
She leapt up onto the couch, trying to keep herself as far away from the hairy arachnid as possible.
"Fluffy good!" Paestri agreed with April as she turned her gaze to where Ulna had been pointing. Her icing pink eyes blinked as she watched her Guardian jump onto the couch screaming.
"Mr. Itchy is a pwank?" she blinked, still confused, and why was her mommy screaming and jumping up and down. "Are pwanks supposed ta make grown ups move and yell?" she asked Ulna.
It was only when Task headed over to them that Paestri turned her attention to the other Legend. "Hi Task! I'm Paestri, you can call me Paestri, Pae or whatever you like, so long as it's not a naughty word that can get you in trouble, because being in trouble is bad. Or at least that's what my mommy says. Oh and this is Ulna," she gestured, "She can't talk but she can write very good! Better than me! And this one is..." the pink haired girl blinked, realizing she didn't know April's name. "And this one is a very pretty girl." she finished, not really knowing what else to say.
Smooth, Pae, very smooth. Malady sarcastically remarked as it rolled its shattered eyes.
((Paestri won't be scared of something unless it has done something to her that she feels is harmful/scary. So until Mr. Itchy actually bites her, she'll think he's a fluffy little darling. XD))

((Heee, Pae-chan in her child stage is incapable of feeling negative emotions, even the genuine instinct of fear. Once she's a teen, that will change XD))
Huni looked extra pale, but once it seemed that Matisha had everything under control, she let out a sigh of relief. "Kids will be kids, I guess. Paestri hasn't done anything of that sort, at least not yet..." she frowned, mentally hoping her Legend wouldn't pick anything up from Ulna.
Ulna's good! Malady says we hang around with her every time we visit here! the Intangible clapped its hands silently in delight.
Okie, mommy did not say we can't, right? Paestri beamed at Ulna rejoined them. She turned to task and quite directly asked, "Why Task have so many arms? Is Task like Mr. Itchy?" she grinned, no malice in her question or eyes, just a genuine curiosity at encountering such a unique Legend.

"Funny you should mention 'cake' and Paestri." Huni chuckled, "She does seem like an ordinary girl, an extraodinarily cheerful little girl though. She doesn't seem to know the word fear or shame for that matter. Well, I was reading a cook book I bought, and Paestri wanted to make something. I normally ruin food, and so does my son Linneas, we're both horrible in the kitchen.
But Paestri just, she was just fantastic! She was beating the eggs and whipping cream like she was a living mixer! It was amazing! And she didn't even look at the recipe book more than once! The cake looked nothing like the original, in a good way. And the taste is just beyond heavenly. Linny and I also have a humongous sweet tooth and we sorta polished the cake in the same day." Huni chuckled in embarrassment.
"Is Task fluffy and soft, Ulna?" Paestri asked brightly, "Can I scritch your neck?" she added, walking up to the male Legend.
Careful... this one seems stranger than that Ulna... Malady warned, standing between the pink haired child and the other Legend.

((I can't define what Malady is exactly, except that it's an Intangible... and by Pae-chan's storyline, Intangibles are those things we don't want to think about, or remember, or those emotions we try to suppress. XD A traumatic memory causes Paestri to separate her Intangibles from herself, thus Malady arrives n.n))
"I'm not sure what she is, per say. She doesn't remember what she is, or what she was. All she remembers is that she loves anything that involves cuisine. At least, that's what I understood. She also has this imaginary friend named Malady. Although it's scary, to think that a child already knows a word like that..." Huni sighed.
She listened to Matisha talk about Ulna, and nodded, "Perhaps her voice is the key to everything... and don't worry, I'm sure that once she can speak, she'll have so much to talk about." Huni laughed.
"Well, after experiencing Linneas' arrival, Paestri's wasn't as... 'freak-me-out' as his was." Huni sweatdropped. "She was just... there in my room." she murmured. "How did you come across Ulna?"
Paestri turned back to Ulna and April, gesturing to the two Legends to join her.
No, let's go somewhere else. It's getting boring over here. Malady moaned, tugging at Paestri's shoulder.
((I can't wait to RP out the 'effects' of some of Paestri's dishes n.n if I ever get her that is... sweatdrop ))
