Yup, we get the honks. And the yells from random people. At first, it was hard to resist the tempatation to look at them, but then the director started yelling at us for not paying attention, so I stopped.
Sometimes, our band director uses the long ranger to yell back at them. xd

Our band gets honks and all, but they're usually the good kind. Since my school's a performing arts/IB/swimming school, we don't have that many people who would diss the band. Besides, they'd probably get mauled for something.
And it's the band field. The football team just borrows it. domokun Dunno why, though, they never really score more than twice on a really good day..

On average, we get about six honks/yells of encouragement and three yells of idiots during the weekly three hour rehersal. The other rehersals/sectionals we're not in the main stadium therefore we get less screaming/honking.
One of my favorite times was when some jerk drove by and screamed "Band sucks!" And our band director yelled back at him "So does your mother!". Hehehe...

Our school is very small... but we get quite a few encouragement screams at Home Games (goes double for purcussion) whee ... I do hate having to threaten people out of our seats... as for the topic question, does anyone ever yell at you... Yes!! And it's the same person every game, a Drunk, he's hilarous!!! We always make fun of him before games as a sort of Pep talk!

Hehehe... *laughs uncontrollably* Actually, a couple years ago, somebody called the police to file a noise complaint against the marching band. Needless to say, the police essentially told the somebody to shove it up their arse.

As far as I know, our town really likes our band. We even have jocks who play in the band. No one really appreciates us at games, though we did get some praise from a rival team's cheerleaders. At least no one tries to take our seats.

Elenriel Nimloth Actually, a couple years ago, somebody called the police to file a noise complaint against the marching band. Needless to say, the police essentially told the somebody to shove it up their arse. Good for them. We've jotted down the license plate numbers of a few repeat offenders and told the principle and the officer assigned to our school. They, of course, never came back.
