wow, another person that really likes music like i do! Have you heard of the Band Asgaard or Seraphim? they are Awesome!!!

no, but if you dig any of that stuff i listed and you say those guys are good, i'll definetly check them out.
I'll check them out, but I've never heard of them. I really only get the mainstream canadian rock music... if i learn about anything else it's but text or word of mouth.

Hmm.. Instrumentally, I play clarinet, bass clarinet, mellophone, and some drums/pit. no mallets though..the keys look too much alike. stressed
As for music I listen to, I like a lot of country, most rock, some punk and ska, and my one true loves, Broadway and Band music. I'm such a band geek! xd
Lately I've been listening to Green Day, Sugarcult, and Alison Krauss. Eclectic, no? *shuts up*

Since we have some new members, I though that I might bring this topic back up, what is it about music that makes you like is, is it that it's what you have playing while you are on gaia, or do you even have music with you all the time?

The possibilities with music are amazing. it can just be a pure shock. you can love acoustic songs, live performances, digitally enhanced and such... plus all the genres... it's just...wow... AFI is awesome.

My music tastes has been evolved from music snobs around the world, as of late I've been listening to metal and showtunes.

A sample of artists on my playlist:
Queen
Rent (the Broadway play)
3 Doors Down
Adema
The Phantom of the Opera
Boa (the British group, not the Japanese artist)
Bon Jovi
Cirque Du Soleil
Disturbed
Earth Girl Arjuna
Fuel
HIM
Lord of the Rings (all 3 OSTs)
In Flames
K-os
Kosheen
Lain (serial experiments)
Maroon 5
Metallica (most of their stuff)
Microphones
Nightwish (love, love, love them)
Noir (anime)
Opeth (love these guys as well)
Rasputina
Shuffle Demons/ Richard Underhill
Joe Hisaishi
The Exies
Yoko Kanno (tons of stuff by her)

and some stuff by friends who make music mostly ambient or techno stuffs, I also have to rip ...and Oceans onto my computer. Oh right, I OWN that stuff, and more, but that was just a generic list.

Sweet, i highlighted / bolded the stuff I like too. But as for HIM, I have almost everything. As for metal, There are a few bands that I had mentioned in previous post, as well as a website that are killer for music, and reviews.

Boa (the British group, not the Japanese artist)

BoA is actually Korean, she's just famous in Japan. Just thought I'd point out that useless fact.

Ummm. I love emo for times when I'm very depressed, because it just helps me keep all my feeelings to the music and not hurting myself in anyway.
I also love ska music, the exitement and the skanking (if you don't know wut skanking is, it is a kind of dancing.) I enjoy myself the most at ska concerts and it is totally the best ever.
Some other kinds of music I listen to:
rock, alternative, oldies rock, hard rock, metal, country, some rap (mostly around my friends who are totally into it), christian rock, some pop and lots of 'punk' music.
The feeling of meaning to the music and of myself drives me to play so many instruments, I love the feeling of accomplishment, and I love the sound that I produce with the instrument. It makes me feel like I'm sucked into the music and part of the music, so everything else in my life just disappears.
I love it.

I don't know of the Brittish Boa, I just know of the Korean one that sings in Korean, Japanese, and English. (She actually did a song with a rapper here in US o.0 tiz creepy). When you say Duvet, do you mean the Lain opening? I thought that was the Korean(yet more famous in Japan) Boa?

Boa= British group that did the opening to Lain
BoA= Korean group

I'm half amused that you say you like metal and have only highlighted the mainstream metal that I posted, compleatly disregarding the better metal bands I listed (In Flames, Nightwish, Opeth, ...and Oceans)
