Here's one. A side story with a series of comedic events between Cloud, Tifa and Aeris. That would decide separate side endings.
Possible events,
More side dates to choose between the two, series of choices that affect each date. And the choices that affects the relations between the three. Multi endings, multi reactions, alot of fun...to think about.

I think that the game would be a whole lot better because then (in big boss fights) you could use Aeris's limit break to either cure or fury the whole team! Talk about cool! I have heard, that in the Japanese version, Aeris dies, but then comes back to life! I want to play that one!

If Aeris wouldn't have died they would have actually finished the game like they originally intented. The Legendary Emerald and Ruby would never had been created and instead there would have been an Aeris side quest. So, do you still think it a good idea. If worse comes too worse and you want too see Aeris you can always see her in Kingdom Hearts.

Anatares Soul_Havock i would've gotten aeris past lvl 60 That's one way to think of it, lol. I don't think there was any helping Sephiroth at that point. He's already seven years gone. If she managed to get out of the way, then he might still try attacking her until Cloud intervened. For the rest of the game she would be pretty useless story wise, as she was expecting to die because A) She's of more use to the Planet when she's part of it, and can better speak to her dead ancestors, and B) She went off on her own because she didn't want anyone else to die with her. As for the Aeris and Cloud coupling, personally I hate it and think she couldn't be with Cloud because she still feels a strong attachment to Zack, as suggested in Advent Children by the two of them usually appearing together. You should read "Maiden Who Travels the Planet." It's a canon short story about what happens to Aeris when she enters the Lifestream. Not only is it an excellent read, it explains that Aeris really did love Cloud, and not Zack. I think the only reason they appeared together so much in the movie is because they are two people who meant a lot to Cloud who had died. But back on topic, I do believe that the story could not have moved forward without Aeris' death, and would it have really left as big an impact if she hadn't? And Meteor could not have been stopped without her in the Lifestream, helping to direct it towards Midgar to counteract the imminant collision. Plus, she helped a lot of souls make peace with themselves.

I don't think Cloud and Aeris would have stayed together. I always got the impression that she liked the "Zack" version of Cloud while Tifa liked and knew the real Cloud. Not to mention I think she knew about Tifa's deep feelings for Cloud and I don't think she would have gotten in the middle of it.

I do think she cared deeply for Cloud though but didn't know him the way Tifa did. But I'll check out the story. *nods*

If Aerith never died or got boost mobile, she would open a flower shop which would become a grand success and marry a young man by the name of Sephiroth and bear 3 children by the name of Kedag, Yazoo, and Loz. Thus she would have later die in her sleep very happy, but since she did have boost mobile, she died at a young age by a sword!!! Oh wait....that sucks.....................Boost Mobile! Where You At?

Jhay-R If Aeris didn't die... Ooooh is this some good fodder that I can light on fire... If Aeris had dodged the blade that was to strike her down, I suppose she would have been able to help Sephiroth out of his predicament and try to make him sane again. As for whether or not Aeris would want to get with Cloud, I bet she already knows that Tifa likes him, and like Mutsumi Otohime, would help her best friends get together, y'know? And with her, I guess she, Seph, and everyone else could ban together and try and get the world to become a better place. Hey, a dude can always dream, no taking it away from him. id agree with u about the tring to get sephiroth sane again, and the mutsumi otohime part

Cloud would have been the daddy of a new race. Cetra and Gentically experimented humans showered in Spirit Energy. (Mako) Hence a being far superior to Sephiroth! His name is.. OMEGA CLOUD! w00t!
