Those green eyes caught the motion easily, calculating in no time. He forcefully crossed his arms diagonally as before and pressed forward strongly, reversing the wind's direction, though at the same time being stopped by his own force.

Then he was almost immediately flipping up and over his opponent. Several feet above him, Niitsu shot his hand, palm-open, towards Atlas, thrusting with it cold-fire energy. It instantly froze the moisture in the air, forming a deadly arsenal of ice lances arcing in a wide area towards Atlas.

((>.< Didn't see your post.))

As Niitsu shot his hand out, Atlas was already in motion once again, thrusting upwards to interupt the freezing attack. He closed on him in his leap in a mere instant, the air shuddering at his passing as his fist shot upwards, forcing the air to spread away from the punch. Should he connect Niitsu would feel like he got hit by a bullet train at top speed, the entire force of the entire train packed into a single fist. The sound of the air was deafening, thunderclaps choing at his passing. Atlas was used to it, but such sonic abuse would surely deafen Niitsu in time.

((I'm not sure if I misunderstood that post or if you misunderstood mine. I am several feet above you at this point. I guess you rocketed towards me and then punched?))

((Dude, I'm gonna go here in a few, so if I don't post again tonight, I'll try to be on a little tomorrow. But if I'm not, I don't know when I can get on next.))

((Sorry, I was reading the first page of an O/M guild. Basically yeah, he darted up and punched as your character began with the ice of doom. Sorta like going up and throwing the punch at once.))

EDIT: ((As for activity, whatever is fine. ^_^ I have a 4 month old fight in here I'm willing to start back up again with somebody. Time means nothing to me. ^_^))

Almost as nearly as the first ice shard had been created, Niitsu realized his impending doom.

Snapping his arm back took less than a second. His next move would take a bit more calculation.

Just as Atlas' arm approached, and Niitsu was still following through with his arch overhead, though, it should be more than easy. Thrusting cold-fire once more to his palms, lowering the temperature directly around them far below double needed to freeze things solid, he waited.

Only inches from connection, Niitsu struck out, deadly aim towards Atlas' punching forearm. In the event that Atlas did not react, Niitsu would only push off his momentum, sending him flying onwards, while changing his own opposite his adversary's. However, in the event that Atlas reacted by changing course of his punch, though highly unlikely with such propulsion behind it, Niitsu would instead tightly grip his forearm, a deadly strike which would almost simultaneously freeze his arm through, rendering it quite useless for some time, if not indefinitely.

He did neither. The original punch continued as normal, but the other arm swept up from the side. The cold about him seemed to have little effect, his body apparently having an inner heat that pulsed out from his body, but did not usually extend outwards, only in such extremes. It was the friction of his muscle mass, the basis for a creature's body heat in any normal instances.

Even if Niitsu had supernatural strength, the force of Atlas's first punch alone would tear his arm asunder, if not send him flying. The second punch, however, was the truedanger in this particular instance. With Niitsu focused on Atlas's first punch, the second had risen to strike at his torso, aiming for his ribcage. The force was slightly less, but a normal body wouldn't be able to tell, it was still much more than enough to shatter bones, if not expell one's innards out the other side. Should this strike hit home it would not only hurt like a b***h, but the connection of the two forms would produce a shockwave and a great surge of thunder as the air rushes back to fill the void.

((By the way, no amount of muscle mass could expend so much energy to negate the freezing effects of cold-fire; it literally absorbs any form of heat, large or small. Only normal fire could negate its effects, and they cancel each other with a big 'Kablooey'!))

Niitsu, though not expecting the second oncoming punch, was quick to react. His emerald eyes flitted towards the danger, taking not even a split-second to analyze.

Using his already-gathered momentum, and his grip on the man's arm, he spun and pushed himself still farther out of reach.

But then something else, again unexpected, happened; he wasn't quite quick enough. Despite the fact that he was barely clipped by the man's knuckles, the connection did hurt, surely splintering something. However, instead of being thrown from the man, he plummeted downward, still spinning rapidly. He landed on a small mass of what was left of the arena, its magic still enabling it to float in the air, his side pulsing slightly with pain.

((Its not just body heat. He's kinda an Angel, that confers certain elemental resistances in my book. Cold based effect are in that range.))

Atlas landed not far away, a sheet of ice covering his right fist, something that may prove useful, but likely wouldn't last long. His left hand thrust down to grab a chunk of the platform as he spun, the force pulling a cone shape from the ground. Tossing it up slightly he grabbed it more efficiently, much like a football. What then? Well, lets hope Niitsu can go long, the projectile thrown at him with enough force to puncture a tank, at least.

Niitsu calmly watched as the projectile rocketed towards him, the hand that had been clutching his side dropping down. He waited.

And only a couple of feet from being bulldozed by the chunk of the arena, Niitsu leapt into the air, kicking himself backwards in order to watch the weapon below him in case it somehow changed directions to follow him.

In the event that it passed safely underneath, Niitsu would only land on his feet, once again placed on the floating fraction of the destroyed arena.

Another section of earth was pulled from the ground before Atlas leaped at the man, iced right hand coming down to strike him on the shoulder in a downwards swipe to the left. The spike of rock would be held as a bashing impliment, ready to make an assault should Niitsu dodge. Unless Nistu did something spectacular, the rock would be launched in mid dodge, as such that he would have a hard time in reacting to another atack thrust in so close to another.

((Sorry I haven't been here in a while... I sorta' spaced out on this. And by the way, that ice around your hand wouldn't last long with your angel thing, or would it? I'm sorta' confused about how that works.))

Niitsu leapt upwards, knowing an easy way out of this. As he feet left the chunk of arena he had been standing upon, his legs came up, though his torso did not move.

Placing his right foot upon the boulder held in the man's unfrozen hand, Niitsu flipped backwards, nearly missing the swing of Atlas' frozen fist. This move should also work in knocking Atlas off balance by forcing the heavy boulder in the opposite direction that it was headed.

((Its cool. ^_^ And mainly the air around him condensed into a frost of sorts, so the cold of the frozenness doesn't affect him. This is small cause my brain is in another fight right now and Atlas wasn't really built for Combat.))

The boulder wouldn't react nearly as he wanted, however. Atlas thrust his hand upwards to send the man flying wildly while swinging his frozen fist with great momentum to spin around and land upon that same parcel of land.

((By 'land', do you mean my character? If you do, he's already out of the way. He kicked himself off, the effect upon your battering ram was completely after that move.))
