 Axel's offer snapped Luxord's mind from his thoughts. "Gladly," he snickered, taking the hot head up on his bet even as he fell. Despite two figures removing themselves from the action, the battle was going just as predicted. Excellent.

Xigbar almost felt sorry for Demyx as he held him back, despite the younger's struggles. He didn't especially like seeing him suffering like this, but the scarred audio stood his ground. This had to be played through, perhaps someday the limp pup in his arms would understand that.
"I cannot stop them." ....not yet.
Yellow eyes flicked, catching sight of Luxord, always the gamer. Xigbar thought of telling him not to encourage them, but he would have expected no less from the gambler and...
That was enough, the fight had reached it's end and it was time to step in before one killed the other. Keeping one arm around Demyx, he lifted a paw toward the fighters. A moment later a dark portal formed under Axel and he was teleported a few feet away, far enough that Saix couldn't reach him from his current position. He shifted, ready to step between the pair should he need to.
"Enough, I think you've proven your point."

Axel almost cried out as Saix grabbed the chakram and twisted it from his grasp, feeling his wrist bend painfully far in a bad direction. If he thought taking his weapons away would render him helpless though, he was in for a surprise.
Something sharp and small pulled at his heel, and his attention was distrated by Valkyrie, the little furball Saix was always mad at. "Damn beass! Gerrof!" He kicked his leg, trying to loosen the little cat-like being. Noting movement, he put his (bad) arm up in time to take most of Saix's blow, but was still brought to his knees, pain radiating down to his fingertips. 'I've felt worse' he kept reminding himself. 'This is nothing...' The the cold press of steel against his neck was almost enough to detter him. He glared up at Saix, snarling. "The kill me! It wouldn't be this first time I've died! Go on!" Tears of rage and long-forgotten pain filled his eyes. "DO IT!"
Then there was blissful darkness, and for all of three second Axel thought maybe he had killed him, but then why did his arm still hurt so much? The light reappeared and he found himself several feet away from Saix. "b*****d!" he yelled at Xigbar, his injured arm cradled by his other one. His chakrams disolved into flame and dissapeared, what was left of the flame wall with them. "I wasn't done yet!" The torn cloak around his shoulder was black with blood. His hand felt cold. The fioghting rage gone out of him, Axel slumped in his kneeling position, fighting now just to keep upright. 'Where did you go? I can't see you anymore...'

"AXEL!!!"
Demyx's tear moist eyes widened as the fight came to an end, and Axel was teleported to a safe distance. He didn't, however, appear fine. He was injured, and damnit someone was going to pay for that.
"LET ME THE HELL GO!"
The blonde screamed at Xigbar, voice strained by fear and anger. He struggled, wildly, to free himself from the older one's grasp. He was tired, exhausted even, but that wasn't going to stop him from doing everything in his power to help out Axel.
He squirmed, kicked, punched, and everything else until finally the grip loosened and he was free.
"Some leader you are!!"
Demyx glared at Xigbar, tears streaming, before running over to Axel's side.
"Axel!! Are you okay?!"
Demyx had hit the ground on his knees, sliding to a stop next to the red head. He immediately started looking him over, a bit hard through the tears but he'd manage.
"Please Axel...please be okay....."
Tears would fall, hitting Axel's coat as the blonde worriedly checked on the injuries he could see. What the hell kind of group was he in?! Maybe Axel was right...the past wasn't a good thing to be looking into...

Saix let two of his claymore dissapear and walked to Xigbar dragging the other screaching across the ground, with Valkyrie following close behind.
"He will be fine Demyx, I did no fatal damage to your little spikey haired friend." The screeching of Saix's claymore on the ground got louder.
"Xigbar, now that the fight is over, what should we do with them? I find that since I won the fight they should bend to our whim. It is customary of a duel is it not?" Finally reaching Xigbar's side Saix allowed his last claymore to dissapear.
Snickering finally. "I believe Axel owes you some munny, right o' Gambler of Fate?" Saix loved being right.

It didn't take much effort for Demyx to free himself from Xigbar's grasp. The fight over and the danger past, there was no need to hold him back any longer. He shot an apologetic look at Demyx and almost sighed before turning away. The young one didn't understand, he was naive and sometimes dense, but this is how it was.
"Would you rather I let them explode later on when they cannot be stopped until they killed each other?"
Yellow gaze traveled between the members, looking over each in turn until he was shaken from his silence by Saix's words.
"Hmmm? Oh I think they have learned their place."
His voice was cool and firm, as a leader's should be, that's what he was after all until Xemnas showed up. Turning he looked at Saix for a moment, watching the wheels turning. What was going on in that demented mind of his?
"You had something in mind?"

Axel hissed an indrawn breath as Demyx prodded at his wounds, trying his best to tidy them up. "..thankyou." he slurred, his voice so tired. He was so tired. Fighting wasn't so good, afterall, maybe he'd join Demyx's side and not fight anymore. Wouldn't that be nice? He felt a tear land on him, and looked up at Demyx. He smiled apologetically and reached up with his good hand to brush them aaway. "Don't cry for me, I'm not dead yet kid." Axel tried a laugh. "Its not as bad as it looks. A good sleep and I'll be right as rain."
"Promise" This time the smile was genuine and he struggled to his feet, leaning on Demyx for suport.
Xigbar's words drifted through his haze. Learned their place.. "If you expect me to sit obediently at your feet like some whipped cur you've got another thing coming." He winced as his arm shifted. "But for now, since I can't stop you anyway...For now I won't stand in your way, either."
Axel stared pointedly at Saix and Xigbar. "But I don't trust either of you. And if you ever" he glared at Saix, "Ever hurt Demyx, I will make you wish Xigbar hadn't stopped this fight."

Demyx forced a smile as Axel brushed away the tears. He was fine...or at least he'd be fine. That was good, he could relax a bit now...
The blonde got to his feet with Axel, offering all the support the red head could need. He tried wrapping an arm around Axel's shoulders, as he had done to him earlier, but the height difference made that a bit hard. It ended up being wrapped around his back instead, but hey, it was still the protective gesture Demyx wanted it to be. Now the two would be supporting each other. Axel needing support from Demyx due to injuries, and Demyx needing support from Axel due to exhaustion.
Demyx was pretty surprised at Axel's threat. It was, afterall, the first time anyone besides Bax had really stuck up for him. A bit of happiness found it's way through Demyx's worry and sorrow. Axel was going to be fine, and what was perhaps even better was that he was a true friend.
"Thank you...."
The words were whispered to Axel, a tired smile finding it's way to Demyx's face.

Disobediance, rash behaviour, and arrogant attitude. These were the things that Saix hated the most, which is why he and Axel would never truely get along. "Oh I do have something in mind." Speaking to Xigbar, he grinned. "Axel and Demyx. Since you two seem to want to cling to eachother so much, I will group this punishment if Xigbar allows it. You've both disgraced the Organization, so by losing this duel, you forfiet your freewill to us until you learn to take orders. I'm sick of having to deal with your idiocy and 'act before you think' attitudes!"

Luxord casually approached the wounded and worn pair, the everpresent calm smirk upon his maw. "If you don't have the cash, however, I'd be willing to accept something else of value in trade." His deep blue eyes darted to the blonde canine supporting Axel. "Perhaps your friend would like pay your debt for you...in servitude to me."

Xigbar stood silent for a moment, it seemed nothing had really changed, but for now at least the situation was diffused. Axel would think twice in his words for a while, still he might have to do something about Saix later, if his head got any bigger he'd float away.
Forcing the others to give up their free will was perhaps going a bit too far, if for no one else than him. Only Xemnas had the right to decree such a thing, but fair was fair and Saix did deserve his reward and Axel his punishment. Though the scarred canine couldn't shake the feeling that that table would be turned sometime in the future.
"Very well," his gaze settled on Axel, "from now on you will answer and report to Saix. You will do as he says, you will not so much as piss without his permission until I say so. As for Demyx, I'll deal with him later."
Xigbar shot a look at the pair, a look that tried to reassure Demyx that no harm would come to him, and at the same time convey to Axel that this was how it had to be for now, but that it was only temporary. Who knows, he might have even by encouraging him to rebel against the berserker later on, to put Saix in his place as well, but to bide his time, now was not the time. His eye moved back to Saix.
"However, I will expect you to not abuse that privilage or you may find yourself in a similar situation."
He turned to Luxord, yellow gaze falling on the gambler.
"Your bet was with Axel, it will stay that way."

A muscle in Axel's jaw twitched as he struggled to keep from blowing up again. Give up your freewill. Bastards, the lot of them. Things would change, they'd see.
The redhead shot a glare at Luxord's approach. "And you! You keep your filthy paws off of him, money-grubber!" He snarled. "Thsi fight isn't over, it was interrupted. I don't have to give you anything." He smirked, although he knew the gambler would most likely find a way to take it out of him regardless.
As Xigbar made his pronouncement on the punishment, Axel's fur bristled. If that's the way it's going to be. He met the scarred one's gaze and sent back a glare filled with hatred; not particularly directed at him perse, but directed at the humiliation he was putting him through. Saix would treat him like some common servant, or worse! There was no love lost between them, that was sure. Axel ground out his reply between clenched teeth. "Yes, sir."
Then he turned slightly and glared insolently at Saix. Axel kept his voice neutral, and pasted a tight smile on his face. He swayed a little where he stoopd, his injured arm still cradled in his other hand. "Anything I can do for you, boss?"
He'd bide his time. He knew his place. And it wasn't second to the loony diviner...

Demyx blinked at Luxord. What? Servitude to him because Axel lost? Such a thing didn't make sense to him, but Xigbar and Axel had quickly dismissed that idea so he didn't see much of a reason to worry about it.
"But...what? You can't!"
Demyx met the meaningful gaze from Xigbar with his own rather confused one. These things simply didn't make sense to him... Everyone fighting and scrambling to find their 'place'. They were all talented, and smart, and strong in their own ways...why did they have to have places in the Organization? And why the hell did Axel have to serve under Saix? Saix was a jerk! The worst one of the lot! And Xigbar was actually going to reward him?
Sigh...his head was reeling again, struggling to make sense of it all. He was a spaz, and not that good with his mind, poor kid was just confused...
"Axel..."
Demyx blinked at his friend, wondering why anyone would agree to such things.
"....fine..."
He whimpered, the next words strained. Demyx was struggling to not burst into tears again.
"But I'm sending Puff with Axel...and if harm comes to either of them no one will be able to stop me from killing you Saix..."
He shot Saix a dangerous glare. Even if he was the wimp of the group, the threat was very real. If his friends were harmed, he wouldn't stop for anything to get revenge.
Fighting, for the most part, was bad...but Demyx felt this was one time it would be alright.At the mention of his name, Puff had peeked out of Demyx's hood. With a nod from the blonde, Puff crawled up Axel's arm and into the hood of the red hed's coat, settling down there.

Yes! Xigbar had given him the okay, that means Axel was his slave until further notice. Excellent. Though there were limitations Saix had no intention of going beyond them. "First off, no friends. Get away from Demyx, if I see him near you, you'll both suffer." His smirk returned. "Secondly, if you even THINK about raising your weapons or conjuring fire, you will suffer." he was almost laughing as he spoke, but being who he was, would never let himself go that far. "And finally, when I say bow to me, you must bow to me." Ah, the sweet sweet smell of victory, Saix loved it. His reason for all these rules? He wanted to make it know that he hated Demyx and he hated Axel more, and that he would never tolerate their behaviors.
