I would definetly love to play college football. Who I play for I don't care the school doesn't have to be big but, if I am invited to summer camp at USC I'll definetly accept. biggrin

I plan to play football for OSU and if they don't accept me I'll go to a smaller school like Akron or BGSU. My chances for getting into OSU are slim because I'm from Willard Ohio. A small town that barley no one recognizes and the only reason they would is because Charlie Frye grew up here and was born here. I play Offensive line but I only weigh 115lbs. I'm the smallest Lineman on the team and I'm starting Center. I play outside strong Linbacker for a 4-4 defence and we kick a**.

P.S. Anyone who says their gonna play for Michigan Can see me on the feild as I'm running ot the inzone after I shoved the ball down your throat.

I'm a sophomore.

I might play for Stanford or Harvard or Yale because it would be easier for me to get an athletic scholarship than an academic(even though my gpa is high).

Yeah, Stanford would be the closest I got to I-A.

Unless Notre Dame offered me a scholarship(academic).

But I'd go to Stanford before Notre Dame.

Im preety confident now they moved me to starting corner and in the 8 games i played got 10 tackles and got 4 interceptions throughout the season and my 40 slowed down to about 4.8 but thats becaus i havnt been working out recently since my season ended but i plan to bring my 40 back to where it originally was only try to get better. i was out the last 3 games becaus i tore my ACL and my maniscous in my knee and it put me out i had to get surgery and im just now able to play again so thats one reason why my 40 yard dropped. and my Squat after being out for that long braught me to a max of 170 which really sucks since before the injury i made it up to 225. so accually i honestly dont know. and i honestly have no clue if any scouts watched but i havnt gotten any calls or messeges.

I wanted to. So bad. And I was damn good, too.

But, I'm telling all of you who want to play college ball: make backup plans. You never know what's gonna happen on or off the field.

Take my situation, for example.

I was a starting middle linebacker in a 4-4 defense my junior year. I wasn't that fast (5.4 40, which ain't bad for a high schooler weighing 300 lbs.) but was very agile. I started the first 3 games at Mike Linebacker and racked up 19 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 6 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and had 1 pick for -3 yards. We lost all but one of those games, but that's because our coaches sucked. I had scouts from all over the country coming to watch me and another player. I'm from the rural areas of Lincoln, Nebraska, and some colleges that were wanting to come were Texas, TCU, Nebraska (of course), Florida, and LSU, just to name a few. Based on my size, they probably would've converted me to a defensive lineman, which I could also do.

But, game #4 will always stand out. We were facing the #2 team in our class and put up a fight against them, keeping it close until the 4th quarter. In the 3rd quarter, though, my right knee got caught around a helmet as a shoulder pad came charging in. The impact shattered my knee and had to be taken to the hospital so they could try to save my leg. Thank God, they were able to. But, I will likely never play football again, even though I've been cleared for a couple years.

As it turns out now, that injury was the best thing that ever happened to me in my life.

3nodding Yup 3nodding
It's always important not only to have a back up plan for a football career but in life.

Thanks for sharing your story Ramases.

lol leave the dude alone first of all a check in hockey hasnt been known to kill a guy or break his neck or knock of the helmet and then in street hockey there is a ref unless by street u mean dickin around but with street hockey yes there is rules and refs i have played both and i play football but a 250 pound man running at you full force and trying to rip your head off is different from a check which all the do is pretty much pin you up agiants a wall which is what hurts u not the check

Wrong. You obviously know s**t about hockey.

Really hard checks have been known to put people out of the game for long periods of times or even paralyze them.

Travis Roy threw a bodycheck and ended up in a ******** wheelchair paralyzed for life:
http://www.travisroyfoundation.org/images/articles-releases/USA Today 04-02-98.htm

There's been hockey checks that have broken hockey glass during games and you can see one on YouTube if you want. Scott Stevens was considered one of the most fearless hitters in all of hockey when he played in the NHL. He was known for his massive hit on Paul Kariya back in the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals. You can see it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8up-tkxZ4r8

Luckily, Kariya was able to come back and play the game. He even scored a goal.

Another big hit in hockey that left a player rattle was when Tucker nailed Sami Kapanen:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06o2395RUyM

I can tell give you a whole list of really bad hockey checks that have rattled players or even gotten them hurt, but I won't. Those are just a few examples. However, don't say that checks in hockey can't hurt someone because it obviously ******** can. Sure, it may not kill someone (I've hurt of checks that have actually), but it can leave someone severely hurt. You know s**t about hockey, buddy so don't go off and spew bullshit. Thanks.'

Oh and I apologize to everyone else that I had to post about something that was off-topic. Ice hockey is my main sport and will always be my main sport therefore I just had to reply to this dumb post. It was obvious something wasn't right when he said that a check hasn't been known to hurt someone which is complete BS.

If I go to a small school (I doubt it, though, because I'm thinking large & prestigious), I think I could make it as either a cornerback or safety. I would love to play linebacker, but I am too small for that (in football terms). I am quick, fast, agile, smart around the ball, and know the positions well. I also have good hands and a good view of the field.

...But I doubt I'd actually play for a Division 1 team.

Are you really good enough to play for the LSU Tigers? In college football? They have probably the best athletic department of any NCAA collegiate level, for all sports. I don't know if you're stretching, but if you actually seriously plan on playing for LSU, then you must be damn good.
