LilyChan Streamjumper Yup. It got deleted several hours after I reported it for being the trollfest that she intended it to be. She invented a tale about manipulating a perfect (healthy, a+ student, pretty, nice, popular, good christian, etc) who hated anime into like it and suddenly becoming the ultimate negative stereotype (fat, unwashed, antisocial, skipped church and became a social reject, etc) solely because they watched anime. And she called the whole lie a social experiment that she conducted. She even gave this trollery the perfect name... "Stop watching anime, it makes you stupid" or some such bullshit specifically designed to piss off the AMC so her and her cronies (who had just recently dared to whine about the terrible state of the AMC with all the noobs and trolls) could sit there and flame anyone who came in to disagree with he little bitchfit. And a large number of the AMC "defenders" showed up to effectively give up their right to complain about the state of the AMC for ******** ever. Ergh... I hope I'm not one of the "defenders" you're referring to. sweatdrop You aren't one of the ones I'm furious with, but I AM quite disappointed.

To me it sounds like she probably needed a self esteem boost so she gathered up all her friends to start a flame war with "holier-than-thou" logic. Then a bunch of those defenders came in, said "Nice post" and then proceeded to flame. Oh yes, that is totally defending the AMC. I couldn't have done it better myself. rolleyes When did elitism become such a problem? I knew it existed, but I don't rememeber the AMC being as bad as it is now.

I think you all know that I've been angry at elitist for a long time. The only way I've come up with to really solve the problem is to report flamers and trolls to moderators. I think part of the problem is a lot of is most of elitism is just being rude, and that isn't a ToS violation.

Mizoko Just making sure... I didn't do anything to make you upset, right? sweatdrop Take the test. Did you participate in the thread and not denounce it for the blatant trollfest and flamepit that it was? And the range of emotions does not include upset. Upset is when I stub my toe or drop the last piece of pizza on the floor. Participants in that thread range from disappointing me and end with reserved spots on my s**t list.

I've always been annoyed with elitists... this is a case of people who I felt should be better than what I saw in that thread flying wildly counter to my expectations of them. And to be honest, there's a lot of elitists honest enough to not stoop to the blatant hypocrasy that I saw in there.

Hmm...its a good thing that I didn't take part in that thread. Besides, the only time that I ever use sarcasm or cynicism is when I noticed someone making a post so blatant irreponsible and degrading to the user and the forum in general.

I only made two posts in that thread. And they were completely unrelated to the subject.
But I really could care less. mrgreen

MahouTragicQueen http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=13281660 How much you wanna bet this is Hieka's mule? Nah, I don't think so. She already stated in the thread that she is turning 16 in 4 days, and Hieka is like 13...?

Steam; I think I posted in there like two times saying something that I have forgotten. I do believe that it was pretty idiotic to be generalizing a big group and saying that's what could happen to you if you continue to be a fan of anime, when she only studied one person from the entire group, because the result of watching anime varies from person to person.
