The only thing I dislike about the Realms is the Drizzt Dourroden obssesors, GAH there are lots of great heros in the relams, Like Alias, Dragonbait, Artus Cimber, Olive Ruskettle, Mirt the Moneylender, and at a time Cyric (which is weird to say......)

Yea, as great as Drizzt may be, it's not like he's the only good hero in FR. Anyone read the books on Elminster? Now there is a real hero!

I like Elminster alot more and yeah I read a few books with him in them, Drizzt I never really got into, not really a huge Drow fan.
As far as the great Wizards go, I've always been fond of Khelben "Black Staff" Arunsun

no no no, Halaster Blackcloak. I mean, he's the Mad Wizard! and he's responsible for Undermountain!

ShadowRun, CyberPunk, GURPS CyberPunk 2020, My Forgotten Realms/Shadowrun crossover, TMNTs the RPG, Usagi Yojimbo, and just about anything someone puts infront of me

Man, you need to start a campaign too!

The only problem I find with Planescape is that people so often want it to be a hack fest, same with Ravenloft.......

Yes, I agree. Ravenloft and Planescape are both worlds where role-play should take precendence over roll-play blaugh

My planescape and ravenloft campaigns are always more about atmosphere and thinking than combat.

Wow.. picking a favorite would be hard. I like each plane for a different reason. I send my planescape players to as many as possible.

Lol, alright then think of it this way. Which plane would you want to live on? Myself I'd take to the Outlands, which plane do you often send your players to?

Ok, if it's where would I live, then it's the Outlands, possibly Sigil..
Elysuim is nice thou...

I like to make my players spend some time in Mechanus, and then when they get used to the machanics, go to Limbo...

Well, I use the Abyss in nearly ANY high level campaign, it's just so much fun there. The Elemental Plane of Fire is fun at higher levels too.

Though I dont run it in its native system.
