Malik is pretty dark now that I think about it. Too bad he's a crack addict. Thats what card games will do to yah.

Hughes is good. I just like Scar because he stands out the most in my opinion of course his brother is cool too (running around naked with markings on your body to kill things was a cool scene in my opinion).

Its either he is on crack or he has too much mascara (I'm a guy. Please don't shoot me for spelling make up wrong).

I think that there is a lot more to Hughes than his funny side though. He is a serious character but on the same side, he is one of the stupidest. I like his serious side though. It distinguishes him and its like he just puts his foot out and says "I'm here dammit! I'm not some sub-chracter to push around!" or something along those lines. Also he is a human chracter who doesn't use alchemy or anything.

Yes. I've started to notice that a lot of anime series these days are picking up on the trend (dunno if thats a good thing or a bad thing). They do grow up quite a bit. Its not a drastic change in character but it is still noticable to those who keep their eyes open. I think character development and depth are key to what makes a series great (I know this isn't an anime but I know I still play Final fantasy VII and learn something new. And this is after like almost 8 years that the game has been out). I like how Scar is slowly changing (could be that he is stubborn or maybe they still want to use him as a villain). They painted him as a murderer, which really he his, but he doesn't kill insanely like that Butcher guy (forgot his name and thank goodness he is dead. His voice was befitting of the chracter but he annoyed the crap outa meh) and he has a good motive for killing which makes you wonder who the real bad guy is. The State Alchemists or the Ishbalan race (I say the State Alchemists though. Just because their powers are cheap and the Ishbalans didn't stand a chance... except Scar's nakie brother. That was cool).

I guess I'm special like that wink . But seriously, I thought that scene was great. It showed why scar is the way he is. But what I really want to know is if he wrote the tattoo on his arm or was it his brother (in which case would mean that he survived being shot at while streaking around the village).
