We had Gold funds of 63,000! eek I spent some of it to make decent prizes, but I haven't finished. Total funds are now around 45,000g

I suggest a good variety of items that have only recently been released. Perhaps the first two or three rows of items in the shops, when checked via "New". As they are relatively fresh, there is a higher chance that people will not possess most or any of these items, creating a higher chance of a needed item being handed out.

I'm a bit behind on this whole planning thing... But I swear I'll get my act together before the guild party.
Anyway. I'm supposed to be running the lotto, and I kinda need to know what I'll be giving away. I need an approximate value so I know how much to sell tickets for and that kind of thing.
So if someone could give me some kind of an idea which items I'll have, that would be great. And if there isn't anything specified for the Lotto, maybe we could use the extra funds to get something really cool. I don't know.

Edit: The Oct 04 Letter would work nicely, but I won't steal it if it's intended for something else.

I was thinking of the most expensive item as the prize for the lotto as well. Even if lurker members don't participate in any other event, everyone will put a few gold in for a ticket. It only makes sense to me that the best prizes be in the event that would have the most people veeing for it.

As for your event, Kninja, I can't remember what Poll Vaulting is xd If you could run it passed me again, I'll be happy to help you plan it out. 3nodding

Other organizers.. if you can please let me know if you are going to have a multi-tiered event (as in having several contests under the same theme eg: Cluttered Avi Contest / Formal Avi Contest / Themed Avi Contest) so I can find out if I need to get more prizes. Obviously the more events we have and the more 1st 2nd and 3rd place prizes we have, the lower in value the prizes are going to get. If there is going to be a lot of events, the Mystery Gift boxes will come into play which have items valued from 350 to 1500g.... which is a lot less than the average 3,000 for other 3 place prizes. Also it depends if you want some events to be the main event, and others as lesser/silly events, that are just for gravy, and lower value prizes would be more appropo.

Event Leaders, please let me know if there are any particular 1,2,3 place prizes you want to grace your event. Be for warned, however, depending on how many events and prizes needed, I may have to sell either the Discman or the Oct Letter for extra funds. If you want an equalivant value cash prize instead of one of the items, let me know that as well.

I ran the lotto last year, and I did charge for tickets, as it was the major part of the prize. I think the top prize for the lotto last year was an OMFG that was worth only about 4,500g at the time.
But when the prize is so generous, there wouldn't need to be a suppliment prize.
I think you could get away with charging small a fee... what we could do with it then is the top prize winner can choose a gaia charity of their choice to have the funds directed to. That sounds pretty sweet.
