ive read up to the book before chainfire, then lost interest, its not that hes a bad author, just i think he fallen in to a bad niche with the sword of truth, every book follows the same simple formula, sure it sells, but repetition like that annoys me,

i think, personally, that if he concluded SoT and started fresh, it would do him a world of good

SoT has a special place in may heart.

Even if Chainfire really pissed me off.

I don't think Goodkind's "preaching" is annoying in the least; I learn valuable lessons from it. Unrealistic that the main character would be so PERFECT, though.

I for one can't stand preachy people. xp But his writing kicks a**. I don't like his morbid need to torture the main characters in every book, either. It gets worse each time. gonk

wow, it's been a while since I read those. I think Cara was my favorite character. I remember really liking the first book and being slightly disappointed as it went on....

I read the first few and then kinda lost interest. They're pretty good books, and I would eventually like to read more. I always liked the female warriors (don't remember what they called them, Cara was one of them).

Mord-Sith aren't exactly WARRIORS...

more like duper-smart, highly-efficient machines of torture and killing.

freaking w00t.

it happens cause of the "training"...crap like that would make anyone at least a little nuts...just look at richard in the later books. rofl rofl

As for favorite characters, I think it's a toss-up for me between Cara, Kahlan, Bernadine, and Zedd. Richard, though he is a very good character, would have to fall a very close second place. Nathan's just a cunning, crafty, and overall loveable character...at times. Others I just wanted to strangle him!

I've read them all up to Phantom, and then saw one called Confessor on the shelves. Anyone know if it's the next/ last one?
