Topic says it all, I've gone on so long about how they get thousands of dollars for donations and for sponsor links. There is no way in hell that they could have spent so much on servers that they need to put banner ads on pages.
but think about it, do you actully know how much it costs to run a huge online game such as gaia, and with it growing tenfold everyday, lets see ... the servers they cost about (i'll do it in pounds cause i only know it in them, ******** THE EURO! ... random!) £30 each, how many servers does gaia have? about five hundred, the domain £20, upkeep ... with all the things that go wrong with gaia ... about £170 a week, or two, hmm what else ... well loads of things i don't even understand, that comes to a huge price
