Due to some awesome luck in winning a player-held contest, I got enough nx for a panda. It is sooooo cute and it can talk back now and if anyone -- anyone at all -- knows of the Fei Long who is his namesake, my only excuse is this: interest in Maple is more or less flagging again and I figured, hey, I should be able to giggle the minute I log in. Kind of gives me the illusion that I care about these pixels as much as I used to.

My laptop has finally been sent to be fixed, you see, and that's where my Maple is, so I have no game access til it's back. (This comp I'm using is sooper-old and sooper-slow.) Update on computer status: okay, apparently, it's exactly as I thought, and my CD drive is dead. (DED.) So it has to be replaced. I'm not quite sure how long that's gonna take. I just hope it won't cost too much. The laptop's a Sony, and even though I love them so, they are money-grubbing bastards. Maybe I can get a new drive that's not a Sony part... -.-

Sooo... my repairs were estimated at $500. So I got a new laptop instead. Widescreen, which I hate, but so shiny and fast, so I think I can live with that.
Made 45 on 'Rin and searching for training areas. Tried this cold eye map because it was rec'd as fast leveling. Except I didn't watch my HP meter and died. And lost 10%. (Which made me yell and curse, scaring my cockatiel and setting off our baby lovebird -.- ) I'm gonna go nurse my sorrows in a pint (or ten) of Asgarnian Ale. *scoots off to RS*

*DING levels 42-46 for 'Rin. Whenever that happened. =O
Level 50 quest with spirit orbs = HATE. Caphi inexplicably rose 10% in her roughly 1.5 hours (however long the Roast of William Shatner was, because I was watching that while I was playing, haha) at cargos. Which makes me want to play her again because a 4x% exp bar is a lot more motivating than 'Rin's and Ana's respective 0x% and 1x% bars. sweatdrop
Anyway, drop luck has been nice lately. But my mules are getting full and/or I just don't want these things, so I'm selling things. Leave IGN/offer if anyone's interested. I'll be online on Saturdays all semester, unless I have exams to study for. (also posting these in the market subforum)
The Gold Dragon has +3 w.def; the brown jester has +1 w.def, +3 m.def.
I also have an average dark guardian (level 35 claw), an average brown distinction (level 35? archer hat), and a buttload of werewolf toenails and tauromacis horns.

And that means... Maple Claw! I never found a Kandayo, but I found this claw, which is +1 atk, clean. Scrolled 5 100%s, eyed the 60%s I have in my inventory... went ahead, took a gamble, and used one. And it worked! I have one more slot, now, but I'll 100% it. And I think I'll let Ana keep it until level 50 (if she ever makes it to level 50 lol).
Caphi is at 50-something %. Tempting to play her. Also considering getting an EW for her. (Where am I gonna get the money for that? Who knows! Hah!).
But still... 'Rin! Knighthood or bust! Aaarrrgh! scream

Wild Boars are such awesome exp for sins. Wasted all her lemons and blue pots, though. All I've got left are salads, which I'm kind of saving for my bro, and orange juice, which I gotta stop using. >_>; I wonder if she's strong enough for those maps east of the Aquarium... I remember things there being worth 40-55 exp... Aaaand there's less KSing... And less idiots (mages, sins, and archers who barely do 200-300 damage *mourns the spawn rate*).
Finishing a buttload of Omega quests for 'Rin. I just... really hate that place. Also chose the 10% 2h sword scroll from that alien-DNA quest and tried to slap it on my Lionheart. I didn't expect it to work. And, of course, it didn't. Ha. Oh, well. Not like I wanna sell it anytime soon. 'S gonna be a hand-me-down to other sword-wielding characters of mine (or my bro's).
I should prolly use Caphi more. At least, for the exchange quests. But she's stuck in Ludi, playing potion go-fer. (I'm cheap, so what. x3)
And I've heard about the next patch. Heeeeeelios! That place was hell for me in jMS... because my characters are so low-leveled. Har-har. Ah, well. Maybe we get fairytale land next? What are the odds of us getting a patch before Thanksgiving? Or even Halloween-- we'll prolly get an event for that again. (Ohhhh, the KS wars!)

*DING 48, Arinna! ...I need a new training place now. Block golems are just barely under .02% and I KNOW I can train on stronger things by now.
I'm afraid to mention it because doing so might make it run out, haha, but I've been having a string of good luck, lately. Lots of equip drops.
-Caphi now has level 40 shoes-- yeah, I'm a miser, and she's still wearing some noob-scrolled red salt shoes. D:
-I got a skull shield one night, 49 defense. I figured, eh, whatever, still an improvement over my adamantium tower. Then, the next day, I get a 51 defense! w00t!
-Earlier, got some brown moon pants, +1 w.def (which doesn't count for much, yeah, but it's amazing how much people will pay for even +1 in a stat). Now Ana has blue, purple, and brown. Debatable what I'll use, but she won't be level 50 for a long while, anyway.
There was a bunch of other stuff, like red moonlights, but they were either below average or stuff that I knew wouldn't sell. NPC fodder! Yay!

Yes. In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE it. Rare equips? Who cares! I get a silly thing that adds speed, so I don't have to buy an extra speed equip to offset Ana's loss during Dark Sight (no Haste until Critical is maxed, so...)!
...And run-on sentences ftw! whee
