..::..April 19, 2oo6..::..

This has been a most..interesting day. So many things happened, yet nothing important went on. Even though, I think I should record it in this here log. After all, this is what I got this book for- to write down abnormal things happening. So, here I go..

I walked down the same old street I walked down so many times, making my way towards the Moonflower Club, a high-quality fantasy hang out I like to go to. But this time, something was different. A new shop opened up next to the club- 'Potions for You'. I wasn't too fond of 'potion-making', but I hesitated entering the club, debating whether to enter the shop or club. Finally I made my decision and walked into 'Potions for You'.

A young woman looked up to me from the counter. She had brown curly hair down to her midback, with amber eyes and light skin. She wore a simple 'gypsy' dress, probably a uniform here. The woman smiled and said, "Welcome to Potions for You. I'm the shop owner, Persephone. Feel free to look around." Persphone then turned back to her paper, scribbling some more. She clearly didn't really know the object of 'customer helping'.

I turned around to the shelf of potion kits when I caught one reading 'Portal Potion'. It seemed like a true potion, so I picked the kit and went to the counter. Persephone gladly accepted the pay and bagged the kit before showing me out. I couldn't believe it- I just bought something and she's shooing me out? I'll never go there again! But despite the bad service, I couldn't wait to get home to try the potion.

...

I entered the house, hurrying to my study. I dumped the supplies out and began to stir the potion, looking at the instructions carfully. Finally, the potion was finished, and a bright portal appeared on my desk. I jumped back a little, but got over it quickly. I grabbed some money, a vial of the potion, and headed into the portal.

...

I stepped out, amazed at where I was. I was standing in a shop! There was a shelf dedicated to vases, a shelf dedicated to fabric, and a shelf dedicated to trinkets and what-nots. I walked towards the shelf with vases and looked at the many vases. I picked out a brown vase, bringing it to the counter in the corner. I dropped the money in the box, left a note reading I bought the lamp, and threw the potion in the air. Once again the portal opened, and once again I entered it.

...

I was back in my own study, everything as I had left it, but the potion materials gone except the bowl which I kept the actual potion. I guess that shop is real, I thought to myself, putting the vase on my desk. I sat down, grabbed my log, and started this very entry.

Right now I am looking at the brown vase, so plain yet so special. I guess this vase will prove to be something in the future.

I'm glancing up at the vase as I write this. I don't think anything special will happen with it. Since my last entry, nothing has happened to it. It just stands there in the corner of my desk. I polished the vase yesterday, so it's pretty nice and shiny, now. But furthermore, it hasn't proved its worth, yet.

Wow! As I came into the room today, I saw something incredible with the vase. Some black lava-like sprays are erupting from the vase, getting all over the place. But surprisingly, the desk or floor isn't even damaged. I've moved the vase into a glass-covered cabinet already so the smoke won't get over the place. Mahea was delighted to see something happen with the vase, but she's already gotten over it and is writing a story in her room. I swear that girl will be a great author if all of her stories are as good as she claims. Well, that's all for now. Mahea and I are going out to eat.

Nothing has changed with the vase at all. The black things are still pouring out, as if it is endless. I still don't understand what is going on. I searched all through the internet for things like this, but nothing seems to be there. What is even weirder is that I couldn't ever see the inside of the vase. I only realized it now. I am probably going to see that shop later, but I don't know when.

As I walked into the study, expecting to still see the black smoke arising from the vase, I was truly amazed. For there was no smoke, and next to the vase say a little girl. She had thigh-length black hair, skin lighter than Megan's, and dark, deep brown eyes. Her face looked expectantly at me, and I hurried over to open the case. As I opened it, she came out, and hugged my legs, smiling.

"Why..Aren't you sweet," I told her, stroking her long hair. "I think, I think I'll name you Isuzu."

Isuzu looked up towards me. "Isuzu? That's a pretty name. I'm Isuzu!" she cried, getting up and running around the study. She pointed towards the door leading into the hallway. "What's that?" Isuzu asked me.

I replied, "That's the door leading to the hallway. Why don't we go out? Mahea would love to meet you." I beckoned towards the hallway. Isuzu followed me cautiously as I knocked on Mahea's door. Sure enough, Mahea took to the little girl immediatly and brougth Isuzu into her room, leaving me alone. So I went back into my study and pulled out my log to record this.

I think I'll let Isuzu write little notes in here from time to time if I teach her to write. But for now, let Mahea enjoy her company. I better get a room for her, too.
