--Data Recovery! Greiga, awaken!--

What was once undone was done again, and what was once destroyed, restored, He knew not what he was re-triggered for, but the scent of sweet destruction hung in the air of the puny world that lay before him was like sweet candy to his tounge. A mighty roar, and the feral beast shifted to it's feet, and moved. There were no puny netnavis to stand in it's way this time; this much was for sure, for now. White teeth glinted in the light as a dull growl rumbled in it's chest and throat, and the Cybeast moved, forward, to find civilization, so that it might.... Destroy.

Nova didn't know how long she'd been out, but the sky was red and black, the clouds were scuzzy, and she couldn't fly well in that. Somehow mach 1 wasn't fun with a mouthful of soot and smog. Figures. The green haired Reploid sat up, breifly confirming she was still, indeed, a Reploid, unlike last time. A snarl and roar from somewhere, and she was alert. How had she gotten to this hell again? Ah, yes. She'd been seperated from her brothers when the home world changed again (Thankfully not like Wonderland. How horribly inconvenient that was. Dresses were ew in her book) and there she was in a village. And she'd just been ready to fly when she'd been caught and branded a witch. She passed out somewhere after the fire started, when she overheated. Well, apparently she must not have burned, luckily, though her armour was blackened and scorched, and there was water on her head.

"Oh lo--is that holy water?"

The girl poked, then shook her head. Consecrated water or not, it was annoying. And there was a noise coming from the south. Something was on the move, something big. Nova flew up for a higher, better look, then gasped at what she saw. A gigantic, 3 story + teal wolf-beast was moving her way, and anything in it's way was... Obliterated. Nova backed up a bit in alarm when the sudden movement caught the creature's eyes --a hellish yellow gaze -- and it charged. Nova gave a shreik, unheard, an unsung cry for help, and did the only thing she could do to try fighting it off without the use of her beam sabre, which had been so conveniently stripped by the town leader. She punched it in the nose.

Greiga gave a loud roar of rage when this occured, backing up and snorting. What was this!? A puny creature that dared to defy it?! No matter, it was snackfood anyway. Greiga lunged, and the creature bobbed away, before turning tail and running. An even punier creature seemed to crawl from one of the girl's pocket, and Greiga was pleased. Another tidbit for it's endless appetite.

Nova looked down to Passy, terrified.

"Passy! What is that thing!?" The girl asked, terrified. Passy shook hr head.

"I don't know, but it sure looks hungry!"

"I NOTICED! What do we do!? Fight back!?" Nova cried. Passy nodded.

"We may have to!"

"Alright...!"

And Nova dropped low, turning and spinning. The Beast skid to a stop, seeming to regard her and Passy's behaviour before giving a roar and snapping at them. Nova grabbed the elf and jumped, landing on it's muzzle. It roared again as Nova held on, setting the elf down.

"Can you get me any analysis of this thing!?" Nova asked, trying to avoid getting shaken off. Passy nodded, and tried to check it. It didn't use her power, but it was difficult. Such a complicated mass of...

Data! Passy turned, looking up.

"Nova, I think this is a virus!" Passy said, frantically. Nova gawked.

"A VIRUS!?"

"Yes!"

Nova flew up, looking down at the now-agitated creature, trying to think of how to tame it, or bring it down.

Greiga watched the tiny being fly, and land on it's muzzle. It was speaking English with a Faerie, and now out of reach again. Greiga roared again, snarling and snapping spitefully as it tried to reach, to no avail. Stupid human-beast. Nobody denied Greiga. Nobody. Even Faltzer, in his stupidity of challenging him, had fallen. He was the superiour creature, stronger than all humans and net navis. It would only respond to a creature mightier than itself. Everything else was slave or food.

And Greiga had no use for such a tiny slave.

Nova looked down at the beast, and turned to Passy, who hovered next to her.

"Well, we're being hunted by a wolf, what now?" Nova grimaced. Passy looked thoughtful, then perked.

"Did you try staring it down? Some animals respond to that..."

"Might work... How do we stop it from attacking elsewhere?" Nova shook her head. Passy wagged a finger.

"If you ever want to help people, Nova, you should take responsibiliy and try to find the good in everything. Even this virus might be able to be kind and good if you point it the right way!"

"Buh? But.. It's a virus."

Passy shook her head with a sigh.

"Virus, yes, but it's also a canine. Canines are pack animals and will generally respond if it believes someone is an Alpha and it is subordinate." Passy reminded. Nova sighed.

"Okay..."

Greiga watched the snack drop from the sky in front of it, and felt very good about itself. Yes, that's right, drop to your fate. Sharp teeth sparkled as it advanced, only to find she was staring at it. Odd. Most human-beasts did not stand still and stare light that. They either fought, or fled, or even laughed, but they did not stare this way! How odd! How stupid was this human-beast? Greiga gave a roar. There would be no fun if it didn't run, and that's what Greiga hungered for. Fun. And the creature didn't even move! Very odd. This required investigating. Was it a net navi, come to destroy Greiga again? Oh, it had better not be. Greiga's muzzle came close to the human-beast and sniffed curiously before jumping back slightly, knocking the she-creature down. Metal! It was metal! The she-beast was not human at all! It did seem similiar to a super program, however, and Greiga sniffed again.

Yes, this was a very different being. It did not smell as a Copyroid should, either, but rather of different alloys, and something else. How odd! Wait, what was it doing?

Greiga quickly found himself rolling on his back when the she-creature flew up and began to rub it's tummy. Oh! Oh! Greiga liked that! Noone dared to approach or pet Greiga before! And it felt good, and felt warm. Such a strange feeling, this warmth. It was as if all of the bug data deep in Greiga's core was tingly, and it liked this feeling. A sudden laugh erupted from the creature, making Greiga stop a moment before it was on it's muzzle again. Well, it wasn't a human, and it wasn't a navi. It was.. Robotic? Yes, robotic was Okay. Greiga gave a dull wuff. This creature WAS powerful, it knew all the nice spots to be touched and pet, because it had just flown behind Greiga's ear and was rubbing. That felt good too! Perhaps there was reason to remain near the creature anyhow. Greiga liked it. It was not human, and it was not Navi, but it was powerful and knew all of the spots Greiga did not know itself, making it wise, too.

Nova was relaxed, petting behind the creature's ear.

"I think it calmed down, Passy." Nova said, looking up. Passy dropped, nestling on Nova's shoulder.

"It looks like it is." Passy agreed. Nova grinned.

"I'll bet he'd be a good puppy if we fed him and trained him. He reminds me of a husky. A very bored husky."

Greiga heard the words, but wasn't bothered. Husky? Whatever. It was being talked about. Score!

"So how are you going to introduce it to your brothers and sisters?" Passy asked. Nova laughed.

"Very carefully. I think DiZ will meet and learn to control him first." Nova said, sagely. "What do you think it's called?"

Passy shrugged.

"I couldn't find out."

"Hmmmmm." Nova pet the beast again, and it lay down. "Give me a copy of what you learned? Or write it down."

Passy nodded, and flew off, returning after a while with paper and pen, and began to write furiously before handing the papers to Nova, who scanned them.

"It's name is...."

She looked at the last line.

"The CyBeast, Greiga."

Mood: Mischievious
Current Music: Hellraiser - DJ Mary Jane

So, that was all odd. First these crackpots call me a witch, so I lost my Beam Sabre. Then I found this gigantic psycho-dog, then I meet this kid, plus ran into Double...

MEH. THEN I WAS SOME KINDA CAT. EVIL. Well, anyhow...

The kid, apparently, (I call him that cause he looks younger than me) didn't vanish with Post-Apocland, so I assume we're keeping him. Mom muttered something about another mouth to feed. Whatever.

I've been keeping him with DiZ and I because Vexen would probably corrupt him. He likes me, anyway. I don't think I could be rid of him if I tried. He acts strange though, he doesn't seem to handle emotion well, and he damn near killed my puppy. Passy was encouraging him too. >_> Well, my puppy's name is Greiga, and he's staying. Other than that, hmm.

DiZ has been fighting with that kid. The kid doesn't seem to get it, so usually I end up breaking them up with ice cream. Although, I think he said his name is Colonel once. What kinda name is that? It's more like.. A rank.... Weird.

Then again....

WHAT KIND OF PARENT NAMES THEIR KID NOVA STRIKE IN MIXED COMPANY WHEN THEY HAVE THE SAME NAME!? gonk

The following is the end result of a rabid plotbunny, bunnies from other stuff off Gaia, and just plain really twisted music by Assemblage 23. To date, to understand, Lumine has driven NS from home, Colonel in tow. This is a subsequent effort by Lumine to further his own plans and deal with any potential problems.

NS was walking, Colonel thankfully left at their nest. She was alone, simply thinking out what to do next. Part of her wished she could go home, but...

Well, Lumine might set her up again. Who knew. The last thing she wanted was for her siblings to have to deal with him, but--

WHAM. And NS' thoughts were interrupted by a blast in the back. The Green Haired Reploid rose rapidly, and turned, growing, when she saw whom it was.

It was at first look a stealth-type Reploid, a praying mantis. NS blinked. She could've sworn her mother had data on a reploid or two, but... The Mantis looked amused, before it shimmered white, the sound of metal rearranging itself as the Mantis' form shrank and changed into that of as child.

Lumine smiled as sweetly as he could at NS, who by now was slumped against a tree, gasping for air.

"Wasn't that such a nice trick, big sister?"

His voice was sweet and mocking at the same time, and NS growled. Lumine simply looked amused, approaching his older sibling slowly. NS hissed at him softly.

"That's about as nice as Double is Pacifist."

Lumine arched both eyes breifly, in false suprise, before smiling.

"Oh, but you liked it. I know you did. Why haven't you come home? Everyone misses you~~"

Lumine smiled, raising NS' chin with the delicacy of a cat. He was on the hunt, and he was hellbent on his goal.

"I'm sure Double'd like to see you again~~ Besides, you could work for me and live."

Ah, the truth of his visit was out. Even Lumine recognized that taking over the world with one lacky wasn't the easiest idea. He needed more.

At any cost.

NS scowled up, hair hanging in her eyes slightly at the touch. She hated Lumine with a burning passion, and this pushed the line.

"Go to hell."

"Pity. Double will be so disappointed."

And he became the mantis again, and struck a combat position. Normally battle was below him, but he would not stand for opposition from within the Reploid species. Lumine lunged, one blade ready to strike when he was blocked by a saber. The Maverick looked up at Colonel.

The British lad had been wandering, really. Nothing much for a combat-type to do, so he'd simply been looking about, when he'd sensed a lurch in his sister's programming. It wasn't as strong a feeling as he woulfd have expected, but given her programmings' native code wasn't close to his, he also acknowledged he required the piggybacking he could get to function normally without acting as if he had MPD. Regardless, the distressed impulse had drawn him near, and sighting Lumine, he reacted accordingly, recognition or no.

The boy scowled, holding his ground slightly as Lumine pushed before snarling, jumping back closer to his sister and holding his sword threateningly. Lumine watched, amused.

"What? What do you think you can do, tin soldier...?"

Colonel scowled a minute, then advanced, sabre clutched in his hand firmly as his programming quickly took over the situation. This, this was what he was made for. This was his duty as a soldier.

The boy glanced at Lumine darkly from under his cap before vanishing. Lumine started to laugh.

"Oh, did I hurt his fee-HURK."

Lumine turned to look behind him, eyes wide as he automatically reverted to his natural state. Colonel stood behind him, clutching his sabre crisply.

The b*****d STABBED HIM IN THE BACK. Literally. Lumine turned slowly. His face showed very little emotion, but inside, he was fuming.

"How dare.... How DARE you."

Noone had struck the Maverick before; it was unheard of. Colonel continued to stare coldly.

"Leave."

"You... Little..." Lumine moved as if to attack, but Colonel reacted swiftly, pointing his sabre at Lumine's neck before reapeating himself.

"Leave."

"....This isn't the end."

Lumine's tone was furious. Colonel growled, and watched Lumine vanish away before turning, and catching his sister as she passed out.

PR-1 READY.

Ow. I hate DOS. I saw Axl a couple times lately. He seemed kinda worried, but also kind of removed. I'm not sure what I think of it. I haven't been really thinking about alot except of how to survive lately. It kind of tires me out. Colonel thinks we'll be OK, though. So I'm pretty happy for that. It's been warming up lately, and I think I know my way around the area better.

It doesn't make not being able to go home any easier though. I don't like thinking about the fact people might think I'm a Maverick. It doesn't feel right. Someday I'll make it home.. Someday, someway, when I can out-power Lumine, or atleast expose him.

I'm kind of lonely out here, even with Colonel. I feel like something's missing...

Like people. I miss people.
