We don't have a person like that... our band really is like one big family xD it's awesome. People pretend to each other and stuff when they're goofin' around, but that's about it. No mean people here. biggrin

Syllie Ours doesn't play badly. In fact, he does 'AP' band and music theory, and is in the local young musicians' honors band. in short he is a very talented clarinet player (E flat as well as the...um...normal clarinet.) But whenever anyone makes a mistake he makes a loud sigh, and makes a face. It's really annoying, we all just want to shoot him for being a jackass. I'm glad he wasn't elected drum major when he tried out. domokun HOSHIT! SYLLIE! WHEN DID YOU JOIN THIS GUILD!? xd xd Well, I'm in Syllie's band. And that guy is annoying as HELL. crying What's the worst part about him is that he's right about other people making mistakes, but he just makes such a big deal out of it... stressed

we have several ppl. like that in our band...
one of them is one of my freshman friends...she tries to tell me what to do when i make a mistake (which i know i made) and she doesnt hardly know how to play her trombone! ill probably be the section leader next yr. and lets just say i dont think shell be getting close to 2nd chair...
also the leader trumpet is a real butthead and thinks he can tell the bd what to do and several other trumpets, his posse, think they are all better than the rest of us...
and 2 of the percussionists think they can do whatever they want and not get in trouble for it

death_angle You know... There is always a single person in your band class that always tries to make everyone else feel like crap... You know, the guy that tells you you're crap, that you play like crap and you're just the worst person in band. Yet, that person can't read note values, doesn't know how to finger the notes, and can't read music all together. stressed And there's that guy in the musicians forum that says woodwinds aren't musicians stressed stressed stressed That's so mean to all woodwinds like myself!

I don't think we have anyone like that in our band. o.O;; There's a freshman alto player who talks WAY too much and thinks he's better than everyone when he's not, but that's about it.

OH MY GOD. DO WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE. And of course, he's my stand-partner. OF COURSE! here his name is chris.
me: that's an up bow. chris: i don't care. you have to follow me. no matter what i do. me: no i don't! if you're off... chris: the whole cello section will look bad. me: no it won't!! if i follow you, and we're both wrong, who will look bad, you, me, or the cello section? chris: us.
chris: it's supposed to be held for 3 counts. me: i know, that's what i'm playing. chris: no you're not! me: yes i am! have you considered the fact that you might be playing it wrong? chris: don't be correcting me, remember you are in 8th grade, i'm in 9th. me: correction: i'm in 7th grade. chris: how did you---[get in 2nd chair] *blushes*
chris: that's an 'f'. some people think its an 'e' and play it that way... me: okay all mighty. i've only been reading this clef for like 3 years. i think i can tell the differnce between an 'e' and a 'f'. and by the way, you played it an 'e' the last time we played it. chris: no i didn't. erg. 7th grader..
those are just afew of the annoying times. if you want to see more, check out my AIM profile.

We have two people somewhat like that. They don't act like they are better than everyone tough. What they do is always come into class late, the interupt our playing. Then, once they finally get ready to play, they just fool around or talk in the middle of a piece. When they are actually playing, they play it all wrong and get the whole clarinet section (which is where they are, as well as me) blamed for screwing up! GR! evil

yea, we have one like that. She's our drum major this past year. She was ok before she got the title of drum major. Now she thinks she's better than everyone else. I was her first friend in the school district when she first moved to our school, now she like hates me. There's always a person like that.

We have a clarinet who has a silly notion that he is better than everyone at everything when in fact he's stupid, obnoxious, and the squeakiest clarinet in the whole band. Man, I hate him.

We have a couple of people in our band like that, sadly. There's one saxaphone player who thinks she's the greatest thing ever... and she sucks completely. But she has the ability to make you feel like you've done less work that she's done, because remember, she's "the best." No one has worked as hard as her or deserves as much as her, apparently. In all honesty though... she's a terrible alto sax player. sweatdrop
We have a euphonium/trumpet player who is really good that likes to make you feel like you're not pulling your weight as well. He's a good guy and a great player, but he pisses me off sometimes...

There's a guy at my sister's school who plays french horn who is really big headed. He's been an all-stater 4 years running and he's in some orchestra in Dallas. He was drum major for two years. He's going to Julliard. So he has a good reason to be that way, but he's still annoying.
