Diahann Carroll joining cast Show creators keeping mum on new addition's role. Will she be Dr. Burke's mom? A terminal cancer patient? A new hospital administrator? Only Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes and her writing staff on the hit ABC drama know for sure what role Diahann Carroll will play during her guest appearance next season. The casting was announced Thursday as TV reporters were shown around the show's set at Prospect Studios in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. Rhimes was on hand for a brief Q&A, but would not drop any hints about the role Carroll would play. Grey's Anatomy executive producer Betsy Beers confirmed that Sara Ramirez, the actress who played the love interest of series regular T.R. Knight's character George last season, will return to the show in its upcoming third season as a regular.

~PLayboy Vixen~ Omg. Thank god Addison is still in it. I love her and wouldnt want to see her leave I like addison but she needs to leave Mer and Der alone to be with eachother. Mark should move to SGH and Addison should take him back. That way she doesn't leave.

After agreeing to follow doctor's orders, Shawn goes back home for a dreadful three-week recovery. A doctor makes a presentation about the death of a female patient to co-workers. The presentator as well as another doctor are questioned fiercly.
