[Castitas Lilium] rainy day blues correct me if im wrong but it seems that lucy is the only diclonius called by a name not a number like nana is called number 7 and mariko is called number 35
Lucy is eighteen years old, and Kouta is 18-19. Yuka is the same age as him- Lucy may be more mature, but that's because of her harsher lifestyle. You'll notice that she and Kouta were the same age when they first met, which was ten. She said herself that that was eight years ago, so if you put two and two- Or maybe ten and eight- together, this is what you get. Mayu is fourteen as of now (Duh) and Nana is just a bit older than her (By a few months I'm guessing) Mariko is five in the manga, but in the anime she could be a bit older. Nozomi is the same age as Kouta and Yuka, and Wanta is younger than all of them xD
Aww, I feel Uchiha Arukan's pain, I wish Nozomi had been in the anime! She was by no means an important character, but I liked her all the same.
Lucy doesn't survive....? I'm going to kill the artist....

rainy day blues crying in the manga lucy doesnt survive, Kouta and Yuka have twins so they name 1 nyuu and the other lucy OMG!!! crying gonk *sobs* omg... I'm going to go die now in a cold and lonely hole...

A part of me isn't that sad that Lucy dies.
The part of me thats sad/angry/vehement is that Kouta and Yuka hook up. I HATE Yuka. I'll say it again I HATE Yuka. She deserves to be cold and alone. What about Nozomi! Her and Kouta were so much cuter together then Kouta and that ugly Yuka. -__-

well it says that they just barely passed their entrance exams so that means first year of collage and lucy is the same age as kouta and mayu is fouteen it says in the anime in episode 6 i think she has a birthdy i believe mariko is 7 or 8 and nana is about mayu's age i believe

Aww, I feel Uchiha Arukan's pain, I wish Nozomi had been in the anime! She was by no means an important character, but I liked her all the same.
Lucy doesn't survive....? I'm going to kill the artist....I thought in the anime, #3 was the one who caused the chain of events which lead to Mariko's birth, and #3 was killed by the guy who Lucy eventually kills when we see the first male Diclonious...

Well if you watch the ending you are left with certain ideas, I wont go into detail, becasue I know somewhere out there someone has not watched it all

Kouta_XIII -Also at the end of the series the main bad guy gained horns, and talked of a plan... What is his plan? Maybe its not the end of Elfen Lied? Maybe we're all just waiting for a season 2...I along with a few friends am praying for a season 2, since we all know that an anime is never over as long as the main bad guy is defeated... I think that it would be good if the anime ended there, because i thought that it was so good! and i dont realy think a second episode could make it any better, maybe make it worse... I like the ending, because you have to imagine what happens next, but it would be fun to know.... sweatdrop

The anime ending was a cliff hanger, you have no idea [if you only have the anime and not the manga's that anything has happened to Lucy]. We get the feeling that she is alive by the shadow at the end, but thats it. We can assume that is is Lucy finally coming home, but we see that Nana does not sense it, and if it was Nyuu she would have came running into Kouta's arms.
I have several thoughts on this: my first being that it is a spy or that doctor women that was trapped in the facily. how she escaped is beyond me but its a thought. And my second is that Nyuu and Lucy's minds finally came back together and she was continplating if she should return at this moment or stay away for a while longer.
We really cannot say becasue we have not seen anything beyond what the Anime has given us, I wish i could say that there was going to be a second and third season coming.

Sweet Orihime The anime ending was a cliff hanger, you have no idea [if you only have the anime and not the manga's that anything has happened to Lucy]. We get the feeling that she is alive by the shadow at the end, but thats it. We can assume that is is Lucy finally coming home, but we see that Nana does not sense it, and if it was Nyuu she would have came running into Kouta's arms. I have to mention this: In the manga Nyuu comes back without horns from her fight with Mariko, she learns how to speak, how to act, and how to be a normal person, all in all she gains a real personality, plus since has neither horns nor a manifestation of her power, Nana can no longer feel her. (The horns DO grow back eventually and Lucy comes back).
