As many people have said, What's the point? I am very proud to be Jewish, and I make it known that I am in real life. My friends are always asking me, "Does it bother you that there was an Easter event?" Or, one of my best friend's who was concerned offered once, "We should ask Gaia for a Chanukah event." And although these are very nice suggestions, I always answer the same way. "I don't mind the way things are."
Really and truthfully I don't. I like being able to celebrate Jewish Holidays with my family and friends and that's all that matters, and Celebrating them in this guild must also be fun, with everyone who knows and truly understands and loves this holiday and these traditions. Spending time with them instead of having a huge event with a bunch of people who don't even know the story behind Purim or the meaning of Chanukah. That is better than any event.

Gaia does secular holiday events. Since Jewish holidays are not secular, it'd be kind of hard to make everybody participate in them.

roothands Gaia does secular holiday events. Since Jewish holidays are not secular, it'd be kind of hard to make everybody participate in them. I think if they really tried, they could easily "commercialize" Jewish holidays... Purim is an easy one to commercialize, and all you need for Chanukah is some kind of dreydl-spinning game/event either in the casino or in the forums. Kinda like those dice rolling thingies, you know?

Okay half Christian stepping in
Events are something that everybody can enjoy so commercialized holidays are the best C'mon even If you are one of the most devout Jew walk into a department store in october and its already Xmas mania!
Would the majority of Gaians have fun for a holiday theve never heard of?
