Kyle gently scratched the back of his head in embarassment. "Well, yeah, that does sound like me." His face turned a tad red. "Where are you headed? Did Roy send you on a mission or something?"

"No, I'm looking for my brother. He left and never sent a message or gave me a call so I'm using my power as a state alchemist to try and track him down. I want to chew him out for leaving me when I was young." An angry look came over Lauren's face as she clenched her fists.

"That sucks. I don't have a family. I'll elp you look for him since I have absolutely nothing to do untill I get a mission. So, where are we headed?" Kyle smiled an unusual warm smile.

"I feel sorry for you Kyle. You don't have a family..." She looked at the ground solemnly. "Well, I'm headed to East City since that was the last place he was spotted. It pays to have a good friend high up in the military to get information for you!" Her mood changed from sorrow to cheer.

"Alright, East City it is!" He thrusted his fist into the air with a grin on his face. For once, he actually felt comfortable around a girl his age. Most of the time he got uneasy and almost sick to his stomach but for some reason, she was different. "If you haven't bought the tickets yet, I'll go get them."

"Nope, I haven't gotten the tickets quite yet." She smiled. "Let's go get 'em!" She walked over to the counter and bought the tickets then walked over to the train. She found some seats in the back and flopped down in one of them after setting her bag up on the rack.

Kyle sat himself in the seat across from her. "Well, where in East was your brother seen? I mean, we should have an idea on where to head when we get there..." He leaned against the back of the seat and spread out his arms. He could understand why he wasn't seen as a state alchemist, even in uniform.

Lauren when through her mind to try and recall the exact location. "If I remember correctly, he was seen near East City Headquarters. What he was doing there, I don't know but..." She stopped mid-sentace as she remembered something her brother was talking about before he disappeared. She remembered him saying that he was going to see mom and dad again. The only explanation was that he was that he was researching at the library there since he didn't have access to the one in Central. "No..." She muttered under her breath silently.

"Huh? Lauren? What's worng?" Kyle noticed her facial expression had changed gerastically. He looked down and noticed her hands were sweating as if she were nervous about something.

She snapped out of her daze and looked at her hands. She nervously wiped them on her skirt and turned to him with a smile. "Oh, I must have just spaced a little..." She knew it didn't sound assuring but it was all she had to say. She had suspicians that her brother was the Sub-Zero Alchemist but if he was, he was under a false identity. To make things worse, he would have been right under her nose but the fact he wasn't in Central hindered the idea.

After the train ride, she hopped off and wondered if she should ask Kyle to leave when she saw someone who caught her eye. "Seth?" She squinted trying to see if the person she just saw was her brother but alas, it wasn't. I'm gonna be on edge the whole time I'm here, wont I?

"Alright, I'm gonna need a description of your brother if you want me to help you." Kyle smiled yet again and he felt uneasy doing it. The only person who ever made him smile was his girlfriend who died of an illness a few years ago. "Well, what's he look like." He shook off the thought of his old girlfriend.

"Alright, from what Mustang told me and what i remember, he has long brown hair in a low ponytail and he's pretty tall. His eyes are blue and he's thin." She started to walk toward the library. If he was studying something like she thought he was, he would still be there since once he picks up a book, he has to get information about the subjecy.

"Sounds like a pretty boy to me..." Kyle stuffed his hands into his pockets and looked around while walking. For some reason, he stared to ask himself if Lauren was looking for a boyfriend who looked like her brother. He notcied what he was thinking and shook his head. What the hell is going on with me?
