Roleplaying log- Open Rpg in the Kitchen

Summary: Shiaree wants Muris to learn how to cook better. The problem being that..well..-she- doesn't know how to cook. When they convince Alces to help out, things just go from bad to chaotic. Still, after the first batch of cookies burns (literally, fire and everything!) Muri and Alces bond making another batch from scratch. Eventually he presents her with two gifts he apparently got in Gaia-- A lantern and a horse plushie!

Journal Entry:

I asked Muris to practice her writing again this morning. She seemed quite willing to, and so I thought that I would put the paper she started off with in this journal for myself and her to look at in the future.

Roleplay Session on page two of Rosa's Chambers

Summary: Muris gets up the courage to visit Rosa at last, and ends up learning a lot more than she ever thought she would from the older Fey. Not only about posture and being ladylike, but about how looks can be deceiving. She finds that Rosa's not really as bad as she might seem, and maybe, just maybe, the two can be friends sometime.

More roleplaying log, continued from the previous on Page 1-3 of the Courtyard thread

Summary: Muris skips along behind Rosa only to be startled when the older Fey begins her painful transformation to adulthood. After much worrying on her part, Alces and eventually Filix show up, the latter quite put out much to Muris' surprise. After Filix leaves, Rosa manages to convince Muris a little bit that transforming isn't so bad, but the little mouse still seems a bit leery of it when she and Alces take the older Fey to her room for some much-needed rest.

Journal Entry:

Muris has informed me that, despite her being worried about whether King Cervus would allow her to claim a horse, she feels rather badly about doubting him. King Cervus, it seems, is a very nice man, and was more than willing to allow her to claim a horse despite her being unable to ride for her small size.

She's taken to assessing all of the unclaimed horses now. There's one she says she's had her eye on, but she wants to be absolutely certain she picks the right one before she does. I think this is a rather intelligent idea, because despite the fact that the horse she's been looking at appeals to her, it might not be the best for her, considering her small size.

We shall see what ends up happening.

Roleplaying session from page 2-3 of the Garden thread

Summary: Muris encounters Filix, Pappila, and Eirnae in the garden. After a second Alces joins them, and the four older ones discuss how odd it is that most of the kithain seem to have elven heritage of some sort. All of them become quite determined to discuss this particular idea with their kithain.

Roleplaying session in pages 5-7 of the Garden thread

Summary: Muris comes across Alces just after his transformation into adulthood. When compounded by the fact that she's surrounded by others not only older than her, but also of noble blood, the poor little mouse has a virtual breakdown, but manages to calm down due to the friendship of all the wonderful Fey.

Journal Entry:

Wow...there's a lot to report, that's for certain. Muris apparently visited with Pappila for a little while, and came back with a book she insists she will be the first to read. She sits down with it every night and studies the words-- won't let me read it to her at all. I think it's rather sweet, really. She also informs me that Pappila's "sissy" (her kithain), Eirnae, would like to meet me because she is also a moon elf. While this intrigues me, I have to say I am uncertain as to how she will feel once she does meet me. I am not exactly your typical moon elf.

Muris' been spending a lot of time with Alces, the Elk, as well. She informs me that he's a very sweet individual, and she's become quite fond of him. I must say that I rather agree, as when we baked cookies with him earlier this week he seemed very kind young man.

The cooking, by the way, was a bit of a disaster. We ended up starting a fire in the oven which I quickly put out, but after that I felt that it would be best for me to leave the kitchen for several reasons, not he least of which being that I simply can't cook and Muris can.

She came back from that adventure with gifts as well. Apparently Alces and his kithain, Xannyia, went out in the stores at Gaia and found some delightfully little presents for Muri to thank her for helping him find the perfect horse. She was simply delighted with them. She doesn't use candles to read by at night anymore, but the lantern, and she won't sleep unless she has her horse plushie as well as her mouse doll.

Sadly, not everything that has happened recently has been so pleasant. Even her visit with Rosa, which started out quite nicely, went rather awry. It seems that the woman entered her transformation stage right in front of Muri, and now my little mouse is quite convinced that she does not want to grow up at all, as it seems very painful.

Not only that, but just last night she came across nearly the whole group of Fey just after Alces had transformed into -his- adult form. As most of them have transformed recently, she was quite disturbed at seeing those who were once not -that- much older than her all even older than before, and so much changed. Even her dear Aesculus has grown.

I am not certain whether Muri is more worried about being left behind or about losing her friends, but whichever it is it caused her to sleep very poorly last night. So poorly, in fact, that she was late in awakening and the horses were all quite angry with her when they received their breakfast quite late.

I shall have to speak with Muris about this some more so that I can put her mind at ease, I hope. Still, I admit that I am nearly as worried about her transforming as she is. None of my other childrens' transformations were painful, and I have no wish to see this little darling in any sort of pain either.

Grudging along huffily, Rosa came down the corridor headed twords little Muris' chambers.

"But I..."

"Oh just shut up and do it! I've had enough! E-n-o-u-g-h! Put the blasted thing down already!"
"My, your abilities to dramatically spell outloud are-"
"Rosa! This is not the time! ... goodness knows you've done enough damage to the poor girl, let's just get this done quick."
With a dark glare that only screamed 'You just wait- mortal' Rosa turned to the door. She indignantly raised her nose high into the air as she ran her free hand down her garmet, smoothing out the creases. "Very well, dear Kithain. Though it would do you well to control those outbursts of yours." She said smoothly, in a very tactful tone as she bent down and set a little doll against the door. She set a very brief note by the doll and turned on her heel in a gentle whisp. "Come along, don't dawdle." She continued as she pranced back down whence she came.

While a semi-dumbfounded and annoyed Ahnna stumbled after the fey who had apparantly decided to take sovereignty, the note read as followed;

"Greetings, little Muris. Forgive the doll in it's state, it was a exercise in a sewing book. My Kithain decided it would make a better present then piece of garbage - though that is what it may very well be.
Well, take from it what you will, young one. You are young, and as you spend so much time with beasts and tools - a feminine doll with a pretty dress should do you well. You may call it a reward, if you so please, for your accomplishments in your... 'training.'

Best wishes, of course.
Countess Rosa"

Though disproportionate and not the most sightly creation, it was obvious Rosa took a great deal of time when making it - regardless of whether or not she would admit it.

Journal Entry:

Muris has been quite energetic lately, especially when it comes to taking care of the animals. I think that she must have had too much sugar when I took her to Gaia for a short while...I blame the children for that. For some reason, they seem quite delighted with the idea of spoiling her rotten.

Fortunately for myself and the Fey, they haven't really succeeded. Although more energetic, my dear little Muri is still as sweet as the day she emerged from that window, and as gentle despite her enthusiasm. I think that perhaps she will be like that for the entirety of her life, and I rather hope so. She's a refreshing change from the usual miscreants whom I care for.

Alces quietly walked down the corridors of the castle. With him, he had a small doll for Muris. Once he had arrived at the stables he thought about where he should leave the gift. Either at the bottom of the ladder, or at the top. At last he decided he would leave it on the top rung of the ladder so it wouldn't possibly get dirty while on the floor of the stables. He climbed up and draped the doll over the ladder and placed the note gently on top. The note read:

Dear Friend-

Here is yet another gift for you! I hope you like this doll. I figured it would make a nice addition to the collection of toys that you already have.

-Your friend,
Alces

(While out wandering in Gaia, as he so often did, Alces had come across this small doll and couldn't help but get it for Muris so she culd have another toy to add to her collection.)

Roleplay Session from pages 1-3 of the Stables thread

Summary: Muris is taking care of the horses, when Alces show up. Since Cervus said that she could have a horse for herself, she's been trying to find a way to take them out and test them, and Alces offers to go with her, providing the perfect opportunity. She reminisces about her parents for a moment, but manages to get past that and continues testing Alucina for compatibilty.

Roleplaying Session from page 2-? of the Great Gaian Adventure thread

Summary: When Shiaree takes Muris to Gaia for a while, she ends up bringing a lot of the crew to a toystore, where she meets up with Rosa and Alces who've separated from their kithain. Muris flutters into the R.C car with them, and the three decide to tour the store.

Journal Entry:

A lot has been going on lately! Muris finally picked out a horse for herself-- a beautiful grey filly named Alucina. The two of them seem to get on beautifully, and it seems like every time I come to see Muris she wants me to come with her while she rides the horse around, takes care of her, and such.

Sadly, this only applies to the daylight hours. At night she works fervently on improving her writing and reading skills (which are getting quite decent at this point!). Sometimes, though, I notice her looking a little sad. She once mentioned something about her parents, and I have this terrible feeling that she's taken to missing them now that the excitement of being free of her curse has gone away.

I may have to find another Fey, and older one, for her to talk to about this, one who's already come to terms with their parents' deaths.

In happier news, she's now got quite a toy collection as well! Both Rosa and Alces dropped off dolls for her, as well as the mouse doll she's had since I first set her free, and the doll I got her recently when we were shopping for gifts for the others.

I really do need to look into getting her a set of shelves, or perhaps a dollhouse, for them.

Look! I can rite now! Sissy says I am getting realy good at it! I want to get beter better at writting, too. I have been studying realy hard.

Journal Entry:

I am so proud of Muris! She was really excited about making her first entry in the journal. I plan to give it to her completely once she's decent enough at writing to do so regularly. As it is, I'm still working with her on her spelling abilities, but at least her letters are legible now.
