Weasley and Equus Equus trod silently through the empty hallway. He clutched a small basket beneath his arm, protectively covering its contents. Rapping softly on Rosa's door, he placed his package close to the chamber's entrance. Equus beamed as he placed a small sheet of paper in front of the basket. He grinned and stealthily made his way back to his own quarters. Bright-eyed Gaston purred patiently within his basket. His chest swelled with pride as he clutched the delicate red rose between his teeth. This human should be very pleased to find him there. Of course, he thought, who wouldn't?

July 6th, 2004 -"Alright, I know I said I wouldent add anymore in this journal.. but.. I have to. Its quite hilarious, I think. I walked in my room today while me and Rosa were in Gaia for a short time, to see Rosa in my room dancing on my pillow and singing -loudly- to 'Kiss Me' from 'Sixpence None the Richer.' Need I remind you of the song?
I came in just as she sang.. "Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift up your open hand Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance Silver moon's sparkling So kiss me"
Luckily the radio was paying along with her. What was funny about the entire thing is how -mad- she got when she discovered I walked in on the bit. Not to mention how -loud- her voice can get even when she is so small. Sure, she has a pretty nice voice and all.. but she had been dancing around rather.. heh.. how shall I say.. the way a person dances in a bathroom when there favourite song comes on in the radio and while only clothed in a bathroom towel? Perhaps it isnt so funny, but next time I hope to get a picture.. So I can.. share the moment. Might I also add, the girl has apparantly forgotten her intentions of 'shunning' the other fey. I had to listen to her ranting for hours; and what do I get? A moodswing that results in her waking up as cheery as a bluebird. PMS; I SWEAR!"
-Ahnna Jade
"UGH. That woman.. will never write in this again. Curse this Ink. Im tempted to blurr it all out.
If only she would understand that it was not her -presence- I found inraging.. simply her presence during the paticular -time.- You must understand, I was simply trying to aquaint myself with her peoples' way of dancing.. and they do not dance AT ALL how a person should. No romance, no formalities, no secretly holding each other close in ways only the expierienced trained eye could tell.. none of that! Only wildly 'jiving' ones body this way and that with no elegance or grace! Why I was trying is beyond me. And it is something I will NEVER do again. I am, actually, dissapointed in myself. Why, if someone from our glorious court were to see me in such a way.. Besides, the song I have an affinity for. The dance .. I do not.
At any rate.. I came back home to my chambers to discover a .. cat? And.. a note.
Well, my fondness for Equus grows.. even if he sends me.. an animal. That cat just.. stares at me.. I suppose we could get along though, he knows how to stay clean. He is rather soft. Beautiful in a feline, sleek sence.. Perhaps."

July 10th, 2004 -"Sadly, my life hasent been near as enjoyable as it once was. There have been some potentially wonderful turn of events however, which I shall get to first. Namely, my sister has grown into a beautiful young woman as I had, with any luck this will have caused her eyes to open to .. what she.. should be. Though I cannot explore this subject with any further detail just yet, as I have really yet to see her clearly with my own to eyes.
Now for.. depressing issues. I have come to believe, and believe strongly I might add, that Aesculus is a spy of the moon court. Espionage isnt really something my dear king needs at this time, but it sadly is what he has on his hands.
The little imp is grotesquely handsome, to begin with. And if anyone for an instant thinks that is some sort of twisted compliment it IS NOT. Not to mention he has absolutely no sence of humor. Granted, I know im not exactly the most 'easy going' or revelrous of the fey, and might even go so far as being called aloof at times, but I can still -laugh.- I mean, for me, it -is- possible. All he does is sit around barking out his stupid little riddles, expecting everyone to just.. fall down at his feet? Im suprised dear King Cervus isnt insulted. Aesculus must be.. secretly... the Moon Court King's espionage expert. Wouldent it all make sence that way?
Hopefully I will be able to share this information with King Cervus soon.
From what I have come to hear of Aesculus 'father' is that he was simply far too attractive then he ought to be. And all this 'wisdom' of his was probably a large amount of snake's slitherings, flowered up to sound like something worth listening to. I mean, really, who can listen to that nonscence and HONESTLY say it makes any sence.. none the less helps the situation any.
Well, all I can say is that.. I know the truth. And if he expects me to become one of his disgusting little affection slaves.. it .. isnt going to happen. Whenever I figure out what enchantment spell King Cervus is under..then.. then all will be made clear.."

Participants: Rosa and Alces. Plot: Rosa got Alces to come over so she could show off her newest... growing, talent. Its fairly early in the morning. Session Start Ahnna Rosa sat in her luxiouriously, extravagent room, plucking away at harp strings of a grand instrument she had somehow aquired. In truth it wasent her instrument, hardly hers, and would eventually have to return it to Ahnna... but not anytime soon. She was dressed slightly different, not by much. Her braids were now curled into a hold at the base of her neck, as a soft scarf fell over her shoulders. It hardly looked odd, however, simply out of place as she proceeded to look as ladylike and lovely as ever. The soft music echoed out of her chambers slightly, and into the corridors. It wasent loud, thankfully, and relaxing if anything.. even though she most certinly had yet to master the skill. Xannyia After trying to get to sleep for a few hours, and failing horribly. Alces was wandering the halls of the castle. There wasn't much else for him to do at the moment. Xannyia had fallen asleep long ago on one of the chairs in his chambers. She was still much too overprotective to leave him alone all that often. The young Fey turned his head off to one side, wondering if Rosa might be awake as well. This was as good as time as any to stop by and see her harp that she wanted to show him so badly. That is, other then the fact that it was quite early in the morning. He decided he would give it a try and searched a few moments for Rosa's chambers. When he came to the door that he thought was it, he knocked lightly. Hoping that if she was sleeping, it wouldn't wake her, and if she was awake, she might hear it. After knocking he took a step or two back and waited. Ahnna Rosa looked up immidiently, clearing her throat and letting a small girly, "Ahem." Escape with her breath she brought herself to a stand and brushed her gown off. She ran her fingers through the front of her hair compulsivly as she stood up, "Yes?" She called, biting her lip and hoping she hadent been to loud she opened the door only to grin.
"My dear Alces! Come in!" She beemed, holding the door open for him. Xannyia At first, he looked somewhat surprised. He honestly hadn't expected her to be awake at this time. "Lady Rosa?" he asked as he walked in. "I didn't think you would be awake at this hour. I couldn't sleep, so I came to see your harp if that is okay with you." he entered and gave her a small smile, "I'm sorry if I have woken you up." He apologized in case he had. Never having been in this room before he looked around for a few moments. "You're room certainly looks nice Lady Rosa." He complimented as he turned his gaze back to her. Ahnna Rosa smiled and nodded, "Ill have to try my hardest to keep it quiet, though. Im not sure if any of the others have chambers close to mine, I wouldent want them to wake aswell. Ahnna is in Gaia with her adut.. Aduth.. somethings, so I needent worry about waking her." She looked over at the single window in the room, and opened up part of the scarlet curtain to let a ray of early morning light shine through of the morning sun. "It is the best time to learn, Alces. Such a beautiful glow the sun creates, and when one is surrounded by so many beautiful things it is impossible not to become one of them." She said, motioning around to the various crimson, maroon, and royal coloured decorations which all took on a radiant hue as the breaking sunlight hit them.
"Everything becomes more beautiful in such lights." She repeated, moving twords her harp. "Go ahead and sit, young friend." She motioned to the other chair in the room, next to her journal coincidently. Xannyia He wasn't sure if any of the others had chambers close by either, so he nodded in agreement. "Yes, that wouldn't be good. However, since the harps is supposed to be a rather quiet, soothing instrument, it might not exactly hurt. I'm not sure though." He stopped talking, or rather, semi-rambling on to take a seat. After all, he wasn't exactly sure of what he was talking about. He hadn't played a harp before, nor heard one in a long time. He nodded as she spoke about the glow of the sun in the room. Once seated, he looked over at Rosa again, "How long have you been playing the harp?" He asked curiously. Ahnna Rosa was still staring at the room, and rays of sun when she snapped out of it and blinked. "Oh, not long. Ever since I saw this painting, which was about five days after I shed my child body." She nodded at a paticular painting, of a woman among a few others sitting before a harp. A king's head lay upon another woman garbed in white while a lute player stay at his side. "I dont fully understand the story behind the painting, just yet anyways. Apparantly the man laying on that woman was a grand king, and was dieing. Humans.. die.. you see. However, look at that woman. She seems so radiant and peaceful even among the sadness, she brought to them the beauty and calmness of her harp.." She once again got an odd, though not so uncommon whistful look over her face. A look like that of a child daydreaming, though with her one knew she was simply imagining herself in such states of beauty.
"That is when I decided I wanted to learn. Im not terribly good at it, but as Ahnna states I have a 'knack' for it. Whatever that is supposed to imply." She stopped talking long enough to run her hand along the harp and emit a chorus of notes. "Have you found a hobby to occupy your time with, my dear?" Xannyia Once again, he was silent as he listened to what Rosa had to say. Even after she was done explaining to him what the picture looked like, and why she had wanted to learn, he remained quite as he watched her with that whistful look on her face. "No..." he said at first, giving a slight shake of his head, until he shook it again, "Well, I suppose so. I've been practicing my magic spells." He informed her, "I enjoy doing that. Although I would hardly call that a hobby...Also, I like to read stories that way. I can memorize them well enough so that I can retell them to someone else. Since both you and Filix grew up before I had the chance to tell you one of the strange 'Fairy Tales' Lady Xannyia had told me, I suppose I will be able to tell one to Aesculus...that is, if he will listen."
Alces leaned back in the chair a bit and rested his head on his hand as he listened to Rosa run her hand along the strings of the harp, "What songs do you know?" Ahnna Rosa shook her head a moment, "That is a good hobby. I know very few spells, im afraid I am not very talented in the arts of magic. Though I suppose that will only sweeten my appreciation for those who can, hmm? Just as others may appreciate what beauty I will bring to our court, it is simply how we work I suppose. Only I do pitty those who are very unlucky in physical apperance.." She muttered, thinking about this and cringing slightly before she smiled. "No, No, I know nothing." She said a bit too quickly, which only told she hid something.
"Well, I do know .. one thing, though I wouldent call it a song.. exactly. Its not worthy of listening to, even. The song, anyways, not my playing.. though. I mean, I think im doing quite well.. so.. maybe I will give it a try." She just talked herself into doing it, and all things considered if anyone was going to convince Rosa to do anything it -would- be herself.
"Its a nursery song, 'twinkle twinkle little star.' Im sure your human Kithain sang this to you when you were a child, I know Ahnna did many times. Do you know the song?" She asked a bit hopefully, a large grin forming over her face as she subconciously bit the bottom of her lip again. Xannyia "Yes, as a matter of fact I do know the song. Lady Xannyia never sang it to me at all when I was only a young baby. In fact, now that I think about it, I don't think she ever sang to me at all. Or at least, that I can remember." he shifted his postion slightly as he continued, "But, the reason I know this song, is because you asked me if I would sing it when you were still in your child form. So, I had Lady Xannyia teach me the song." He ended and gave a nod of his head, "Is that the song you are going to play?" He began to smile when he saw her grin forming, and as usual, seemed happy since she was happy. Ahnna Rosa thought about it, "Did I? I dont remember asking you that. I just remember Ahnna singing it frequently. Your Kithain never sang you?" She frowned a moment and shook her head. "That is sad. Come, Alces, sit aside me and you may sing along with the notes." She commanded as she put her fingers along the thin strings, setting into position. Xannyia "You did ask me, however, you were young. So I can easily see why you might not remember asking that. And no, Lady Xannyia hardly ever sang to me. I think she's a bit on the shy side or something..." He trailed off shaking his head, "Although I personally don't see the point in being afraid to sing in front of someone you are close to." he gave a shrug and shook his head, thinking about how odd that woman was at times when it came to doing like singing in front of other people. It wasn't that hard; he stopped in mid-thought when Rosa told him to come sing along with her as she played the harp. It was now him that was a bit uneasy about this. After all, he had never sung this song before except once right after Xannyia had taught it to him. "Well...I'm not sure if I can remember all the words correctly." he said as he went to take a seat beside her. Ahnna Rosa stared at him for a bit with her eyebrow raised, "Now Alces, you were just saying how silly it was for people to be afraid of singing infront of others. You wont make a fool of yourself by loosing all your courage for such now, will you?" She asked with a slight 'gotcha' grin, whether or not she had infact 'got him.'
She carefully plucked the first four notes of the harp, the 'twinkle twinkle' part, expecting him to sing along before she continued. To top it off, even, incase he would claim not to know the melody, she hummed along with the harp while looking at him expectantly. Xannyia He gave her a small frown, wondering what she had meant by that, since he in fact, wasn't afraid of singing...he just didn't know the words all that well. He shook his head a moment as he listened to her humming. Not singing along right away, "I'm sorry Lady Rosa...I can't sing along with you. I don't know the words." He said slowly and gave her a sad look. "All I know, is 'Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are...'" He stopped since that was as far as he could go. After that, he went silent again and blinked at her a few times. "Maybe you could teach me the rest then?" Ahnna Rosa shook her head, "Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.." She trailed off and looked confused. "I guess thats all I know aswell." She said, a bit suprised at the fact before she shook her head, "Well we can just sing that over and over again a couple of times." She commanded again, and once again repeated the notes to that first line, only this time looping it over and over determined to keep doing so until he sang. She was once again quietly humming as she watched him expectanty. Xannyia Alces shook his head at her once more for a moment and let out a small sigh before he listened to her humming and joined in when it came time for him to sing those words. He too sang them over and over again, since that was what she had wanted him to do. He began to nod his head when he had done this several times, wondering how long she was going to have him do this. He did enjoy her harp playing though, and reminded himself to tell her that she was good once she was done making him sing along as she played. Ahnna Rosa stopped the repetition shortly after he had joined in, and let her hands and arms fall back to her sides, sporting a large grin. "There, Alces! Come on, it wasent at all that bad." She said, happily. "You sing wonderfully my dear, I dont see why you made it so difficult to convince you." She continued, before she reached over and put a hand on his cheek. "I suppose if you loathe singing so much I wont make you again." She said, in her same happy tone. "I love singing, myself. I think we Fey have far better voices then our human Kithain." She added as she thought about the other songs she had heard. Xannyia Alces was partly confused now. Wondering to himself why she seemed to think she had had to try so hard to force him, when all she had needed to do was help teach him the words. Which she had done in a way. "I don't loathe singing." he told her, he had stopped when she stopped playing and lost his confused look on his face. "You're very good at playing the harp." he said and gave a nod, "Yes, from what I have heard, some of the singers in the Kithain's realm are rather..." he trailed off and shook his head, "Odd..." When she put her hand on his cheek, he managed to keep himself from moving it this time. He most certainly didn't want to offend her again like he had last time, so he just smiled back at her nodding in agreement that the Fey seemed to be better singers than the humans. Ahnna An even larger grin started to crack it's way down Rosa's face as she watched Alces' face. With a slight chuckle she nodded, "You want me to move my hand, dont you Alces?" It was hard to tell if she had intended to make him uncomfortable, if she was simply palying games, or just curious over his reaction. At any rate she kept her hand where it was. "Why is it that you didnt like me touching you Alces? Dont fear my temper dear one, its far to early in the morning to begin yelling and if I make it a habbit to be in such moods -all- the time im bound to have unsightly wrinkles.." Xannyia Now he wasn't sure what she was thinking. He didn't look nervous or anything, so he was beginning to wonder if he wasn't doing a good enough job of 'acting' so to speak. His smile never left his face as he said "No it doesn't matter...I never said I didn't like your touch, nor did I intend to make it look like that way." He said truthfully. He looked at her a while more and kept himself from shaking his head. "I also don't see why you would have gotten mad over that. It was nothing against you Lady Rosa. I wasn't, and am not used to dealing with something like that." He admitted. Ahnna Rosa shook her head, still grinning at him, "Alces that is no reason to bat someone away. Is there something your not telling me? I refuse to believe it is all in my imagination. I wish you would just tell me what it is that made you uncomfortable around me, so that I may... fix it.. in some way. Not that im in terrible need of self improvement but this is really bothering me." She started to pout somewhat, as her had retreated and she fell into her chair. "I dont like it when people move from me without a clear reason. It makes me upset." She also admitted, falling into a childlike mutter. "Whatever bothered you before.. is gone now? Have I already fixed it?" She asked lamely as she ran her hand down the strings of the harp, creating a rain of notes again. Xannyia Keeping in a sigh Alces shook his head, "No Lady Rosa. You didn't fix it. You weren't the one that needed to 'fix it.'" He went folded his hands and places them on his lap for a moment before unclasping them and folded his arms instead, "I already told you the reason. I wasn't, and am not used to dealing with something like that." He repeated, "It was unexpected thats all." He watched her hand run across the strings of the harp. He said nothing more, since he couldn't think of anything to say that might make her feel that it wasn't her fault. He did the next best thing in his opinion and turned his attention back to the harp, "Do you know any other songs?" Ahnna Rosa was unconvinced, still. She simply refused to believe that, and continued creating scenarios in her imagination before she looked back at him and nodded, "Mmhm." She plucked t the strings aimlessly again, creating the melody of a wellknown human classical song, making quite a few errors in the process. "You sure it wasent me?" She asked again, a bit seriously in the middle ot the song, opening one eye to peek at him. Of course it wasent -her- persay, she knew whatever it 'was' couldent possibly be a fault in her. Just.. something else. She really hadent figured it out just yet. Xannyia "Yes Lady Rosa...for the last time. It wasn't you. I don't know how many times you want me to say that." he listened to the song a moment, ignoring the errors here and there, still thinking that it was good. "What is the name of the song?" he asked eventually. Deciding that he rather liked this song. He shifted in the seat to get more comfortable and continued to watch her hands, finding this interesting to watch for one reason or another. A few times he looked at Rosa and then around the room, but he would always go back to watching the harp. Ahnna "I dont remember. What I hear, though, it was written by a man who was deaf. Beh.. Bea.. Beh.. to.. toh.. ven?" She shook her head. "Im sorry I can't remember." She stood up and streached her fingers out. "I imagine our King and future Queen shall be wed soon. It will be good to attend a formal event again. Hopefully we will be able to dance some.. do you like dancing, Alces?" She asked, as she moved twords the other end of her room. Xannyia He didn't know who she was referring to, but remembered what she had said. He would be sure to ask his Kithain about it when he returned to his chambers, which would be fairly soon. He was finally beginning to get tired after being up all night. "Yes, they probably will be wed soon. I like dancing. Although I haven't done it all that often." he replied and stood up, moving to the door himself. "I'm sorry Lady Rosa, but I'm suddenly very tired. Forgive me, but I must return to my chambers. I'm going to try and get some sleep before the sun comes up all the way." He told her and went to exit out of the door, "I hope to see you soon Lady Rosa. Perhaps we can practice dancing then?" he half-asked as he went to shut the door, he ended with, "I would like that..." With that, he was on his way back to his chambers, barely able to keep his eyes open as he walked along. Ahnna Rosa nodded as he leaved, and shook her head as soon as he was gone. "Everyone around here... they are... so confusing." She muttered to Gaston, who opened his eyes to observer her for but half a second before returning to his sleep. She sighed, and then sported a dainty yawn as she streached her fingers over her mouth and moved back to her harp, where she turned her attentions to a nearby mirror and started primping her hair. Syrenrei and Aesculus Outside the door a carefully wrapped treasure in a piece of black cloth and a note pinned to the top is found. The note on top reads:
Scribbled on the back is another note: I know how you care for beautiful things, and thought this also reflected your love of flowers.

July 22, 2004 - "Yes. Well.
Ahnna tell's me that in her world there are small chips 'spies' can put into the most unsusspicious inatimate objects. A camera, say, in a stuffed teddy bear. I wonder if Aesculus has discovered a way to do this.. inside.. the fan. Normally I would of tossed it out my window to float away and spy over the lands of the birds to begin with; but the thing really is quite lovely. Its almost painful to say but the little imp does have... some taste, even if he insists on wearing that sullen, evil, face of his all the time. I make it a point to hide the fan when Im getting dressed, when I am vocalizing my counter actions against his plot to overthrow the suncourt; or.. for other such reasons when the privacy of one's chambers is completely neccisary. Infact, I dont even like.. it.. watching me while I sleep. It is well, however. I have decided shoving it behind one of my paintings works quite well. I also find it quaint and .. sadisfying that he doesnt respond to my accusations; in written word at the very least. This only tells me that he is scared, scared of me and scared of my gaining anymore.. intelligence.
Ah well, atleast things are not as morbid as they could be. After all, I could of actually had to spend time with him infront of the King or Queen where I am forced to cencor myself. That is just awful.
Alces came over a few nights ago and listened to my harp, on other mention. The boy is sweet, though I insist that he is merely hiding some level of discomfort around me. Ahnna informs me, also, that this is just in my head. I don't believe her. We will see who is right about such things, one day, now wont we?" -Lady Rosa

August 7, 2004 - "Muris, a lovely looking white haired, pink eyed little girl is freed. She reminds me much of Nimlote, colors any ways, and ironically.. though.. tragically aswell, she is destined to be a stablemaster. Or.. stablehand. Stable something. Any title that begins with the phrase 'stable' simply couldent be pleasant to begin with, so she has my eternal pity.
Though our meeting was short, and first impression no doubt awfull, I hope we can be friends. I believe, truly, that the 'bad impression' weighs entirely on Aesculus' misfortunate arrival. He insists on bringing up my accusations, when he knows well enough I have no proof. It is.. a conclusion I have come to terms with myself, that these believes of mine or no doubt birthed within the confines of my imagination, but it is still something I wish to hold onto. Even if they rest only in my daydreams. I shall make it a point not to speak of it so bluntly any further, using little Muris as an example it is doing nothing but harming my already fragile reputation.
Why, you as, is it fragile? Well, this is simple. The population of women in the court continues to grow. And im sure all know how women can get -so insufferably jealous.
But I digress, the court grows which is most likely.. good.. news. It certinly means the weight of performance among the others is lifted slightly with each new arrival. I know personally I am ever so tired of the demands made of me... There is just... so much they expect..." -Lady Rosa

Participants: Rosa and Muris. Plot: Rosa invites Muris over for round one of noblility training. twisted Session Start Shiaree Muris skipped through the hallway, doing a little spin here, and a little cartwheel there. She was in a particularly good mood because Shiaree had complimented her on her advancement in her reading and writing abilities earlier, and so now she was feeling confident enough to seek out Lady Rosa in her chambers.
She reached the door, gathering herself together. As much as she -told- herself she was confident, she still felt pretty nervous about approaching the noblewoman. Quietly, she knocked on the door, "L-Lady R-Rosa?" Ahnna Rosa jumped from inside her chambers, a little startled jolt upwards as her dark green gaze drifted to the door. An eyebrow arched somewhat curiously as she heard the timid voice from the otherside. She robotically cluctched her skirt as she came to a graceful stand, flicking some of the hair infront of her face off to oneside as she sang, "Whoever could it be?" There was a tinge of sarcasim in her words, obviously she already knew, but felt the need to ask anyways as she opened the door and stood, staring at the girl a moment or two. "Muris! It is good to see you, I had the strangest feeling that I scared you away. Imagine that." She said with a grin as she made a slight sweeping motion into the confines of her room. "Come in, please." Shiaree The little mouse-girl's crimson eyes grew wide as she looked up at Rosa, for all the world reminiscent of the timid mouse whose totem she bore, "Umm..okay..."
She entered the room, looking about curiously. There was a nervous twitch about her as she glanced around, and she nearly cringed when her gaze fell on the older Fey again, "You didn'...didn' scare me none..just..wasn' sure if you were sayin' what you meanta... Ahnna Rosa's arched eyebrow seemed to arch further, creating a rather odd expression on the young woman. "I.. see. Well, I don't mean to scare you...in any case, make yourself comfortable. Of course I meant what I said. I never say anything I dont mean." She paused and thought about that statement a moment before she shook her head, "Well aside from harmless flattery, honestly if all the people I called beautiful were beautiful there would be nothing ugly left in the world." She ranted to herself as she started twords a desk in her room. "Have you been well, young Muris? The.. the.. horses treating you well?" She did her best not to cringe at the word horse, and managed to keep her composure quite well in the end as she thought of her horse. "I hope Nimlote doesnt give you much troube." Shiaree Muris' eyes lit up at her mention of horses, sensing that perhaps Lady Rosa wasn't so bad after all if she was interested in them, "Nah. Nimlote's okay. She's a little finicky 'bout things, but so're some of the others so I don't have lotsa problems with it.."
She settled herself in one of the chairs, her tiny bare feet swinging back and forth, "But..I think you're wrong. Everything's pretty in its own way, so mebbe even if you don't think it's pretty, you aren't lying when you say it is." Ahnna Rosa blinked a few times and looked back at the girl, smiling she gave a rather deep nod and bow to her statement, a look of submission on her face. "Indeed, young Muris. That is actually rather wise, I admit I am quite capable of finding things worth admiring in everything aswell - it's simply a question of whether or not I wish to spend the effort." She shook her head a moment. "For instance, even those annoying little .. fireflies.." She muttered quite bitterly a moment before she refined her voice, "Have the beauty of there own glow to them. I think I understand. Finicky? What do you mean?" Shiaree Muris blinked, "Fireflies?" She asked. But she seemed pleased that Lady Rosa had told her her thoughts had some merit, so she moved back to the subject of horses, "Well, she likes things done just so, that's all." Ahnna "Ah, I see." Rosa said, turning back again she opened one of the containers in her room, and took out a few books. "Ah, well, I also admit that may be my fault. You think horses take after there owners, do you?" She asked, holding the two books she started moving twords the little girl. "Stand up, please. I did say I would try and teach you how to be a lady, didnt I? There are some common practises for such things that have been around since the begining of time and I.. well.." She decided to wait and hear the girls responces. Shiaree Muris nodded, "Papa always said that you could tell a lot about a person by the way their horse acted..."
She stood up just as Rosa said, smiling, "Are you gonna teach me howta read? Sissy's teaching me, too. She says I'm gettin' really good at it!" Ahnna Rosa nodded at first, only to shake her head. "No. I.. I'm sure your reading is an invaluble asset.." She paused her speech, briefly thinking that was just another one of her out and out lies, considering 'what on earth would a girl who spends her life around horses need with reading?' before she dismissed it and continued, "I think your.. your posture could use even more work." She went to gently set one of the books on her head and take a few steps back with a smile on her face before putting the other book on her own head. Shiaree : Muris put her hand on top of the book to keep it on her head, and peered at Rosa curiously, "What's p-posture?" She asked, twirling around while holding the book in place, "Sissy says I'm really smart, too. And that when I learn how to read I'm gonna have lots of fun talkin' about books with Aesculus." Ahnna Rosa shook her head, crossing her arms infront of her chest with the book on her own head staying in perfect place. "Well, posture is the way a person carries herself. You see.." She slowly turned around, and pulled her her hair infront of her shoulders so Muris could see her back, "A lady should do her best to walk with her shoulders back and back straight.." She turned around again, and sighed. "Yes.. uhm.. Aesculus.. Back to posture! Dear, try to walk in a straight line with the book on your head. Dont.. dont hold it inplace with your hand, though." Shiaree Muris blinked, "And this'll make me look pretty like you, right?"
She asked, removing her hand from the book and using every ounce of concentration on her tiny little body to attempt keeping it on her head. She took a step forward, and it fell.
Tears welled up in her eyes, "It didn't work!" Ahnna Rosa smiled at first, to the semi-compliment, "Yes, well.. with posture and clean hair you can come clo-" She cut herself off when the book fell, only to shake her head again, this time however she shook her head so quickly the book all the more flew off her own head.
"Uhm.." She bit her lip, looking at the fallen books. "It always takes practise, Muris. The first time you tried to read, it didn't work so well, right? This isnt and different, just.. try again." She said, trying to be comforting and encouraging though because of her very nature the words came out rather choked and awkward as she went to retrieve the book she had flung across the room. Shiaree Muris sniffled a bit, but picked up her book and set it back on her head, "It's like learnin' to ride a horse, right? You jus' gotta keep workin' at it.."
She managed a little bit of a smile, "And I already wash my hair all the time! So's this's all I have to do to be pretty like you, right?" Ahnna Rosa smiled back at her slightly, glad she wouldent have to deal with a tear fest. "Yes I suppose it's like riding a horse. Of course iv'e never tried to ride a horse and I wouldent know but.. I imagine.." After she placed the book on her own head again and walked over to Muris, she nodded a little. "Well, it will be a great improvement. Perhaps it is simply your age, but you should try to work on your.. your.. vocabulary, the way you speak and - well, one thing at a time." She said, as she started to walk across the room, thinking Muris would follow. Shiaree Muris attempted to follow, but the book fell off her head again, so she had to pick it up. And then she put it back on and tried again, getting maybe two steps before it fell..
"You've never tried ridin' a horse? But..but why d'ya have Nimlote if ya don't wanna ride her?"
Then she blushed brightly, "Mama said that I needed to work on my language, too. She was always saying I had to make sure I didn't let my words trail off like I do sometimes.."
There, now her talking was cleaned up. She'd almost forgotten she was talking to a noblewoman so she was supposed to watch her words. Ahnna Rosa walked to one wall, and then back again, only to take the her book-hat off. With a sigh and a slight chuckle she shook her head, "Well, I suppose we can give posture a rest for now. I think in time you will do very well. You already do better then my sister and shes supposed to be a countess someday." She muttered the last sentance with a roll of her eyes before she forced a smile, "But as you have said, young, wise little Muris - we all have our redemption, and our beauties. Why havent I? Oh.. well, I intend to, some day. Perhaps go for a nice trot out in the country with a suitor or the sort .. but it isnt as though I have reason to go about riding now, do I? Besides, I doubt Nimlote would want to work and carry a rider anyways. Even if I am, undoubtedly, much easier to carry." Shiaree Muris blinked, "Well, you don't have to have a -reason- to ride..you could just do it 'cause it's fun...and Nimlote could always use the exercise."
She put the book back on her head, taking another couple of steps, "I'm better at it than Filix, really?" Her little eyes grew wide again. There wasn't much she was better than Filix at. Ahnna Rosa sat on her bed and watched the girl a moment, nodding a little. "Well, Ive never .. ridden.. before, so if it was fun, I wouldent know. All I do know is that horses and the world outside the castle walls tend to be dirty and smelly - I wouldent want to become sweaty and.." She sighed. "I suppose she could. Is she fat and unsightly now, my horse?"
After another pause she sported an almost impish smirk as she nodded, "Oh yes. Of course, it isnt as though my sister even tries to have beautiful posture. Ive never seen her attempt this .. excersise before, but belive me little one - with perhaps a little more effort and practise you will fit the traditional ladylike image of a countess or noblewoman much better then her in no time." She insisted. Shiaree Muris mulled this over, "Well, not. I exercise her on a lead line so's she doesn't get overweight or anything like that. But it's always nice for the horses to get ridden. I'd do it, but I'm too little.."
She sighed at that. If she were as tall as Lady Filix or Lady Rosa she could ride the horses. As it was, though, she could only take care of them and exercise them like that.
"Filix doesn't do any of this stuff, though? Why not..?" she stopped even as she asked that, "Well, I guess she doesn't really need to...she's pretty already." Ahnna Rosa nodded, and then scoffed. "Well of course shes pretty.. she is, after all, -my- sister.. but raw beauty can do very little, Muris. Even the most beautiful diamond can be unsightly and ugly when covered in mud. Im sure ive told you, Muris, that you will be a beautiful young woman one day. I suggest you take well, this compliment - for it is indeed rare that I honestly compliment another fey, and a future rival for suitors no less." She said with a wink, the last sentance was truthfully sarcastic, mainly because in her mind and 'suitor' would be mad to choose anyone else over her - but that was entirely beside the point, obviously. "Perhaps.. Perhaps you can ride with.. with Alces, maybe? Im sure he would be glad to help support you, if it is something you desire. Though, if I may also suggest.. please do try and keep your posture when riding a horse, aswell, okay?" Shiaree Muris looked at Rosa for a second, blinking as though coming to a stunning conclusion, and then put the book on her head and easily walked across the room with it, "You have to have good posture when you're riding!" She exclaimed, giggling, "I can't believe I didn't think of it like that before!"
She spun around, letting the book fall into her open arms, then blushed, "I don't think I'd really be 'competition'. I won't ever be as pretty as you are...and I could ask Alces to help I guess. But he kinna gets nervous around the horses so he wouldn't be very good with the spirited ones." Ahnna "Oh." Rosa said, thinking about the last statement. With a grin she looked at Muris, "Very good!" She praised, clapping for her slightly. "Well, Muris. Per.." She stopped, twitching a bit nervously, "You can teach me to ride as you taught Alces. Once I know.. then.. if there is an honorable way to situate.. us.. I would be glad to sit with you on a horse." She said with a nod. "Though Filix or Equus or even King Cervus would Im sure suit much b etter for that!" She suddenly belted. Obviously, the odd spark of 'nicer Rosa' could of been initated by pride, which was glimmering all over her face after Muris had 'accomplished' her posture exercise. Shiaree Muris tilted her head thoughtfully, "Well, sure, Filix would probably help. I didn't think 'bout asking her before..but you should still ride Nimlote sometimes. I think you'd like it, lots of the ladies used to do it 'fore the curse 'n all.."
She definitely remembered seeing various noblewomen enter the stable to take their horses out for a ride and whatnot, "And I didn't really teach Alces to ride, just how to take care of his horse...but I can probably teach you to ride if you like. Prolly sidesaddle.." Ahnna Rosa nodded, still uncomfortable for whatever reason. This whole, 'offering her help to other people' thing was completely unnatural for her, and she had begun to almost squirm in her seat. "Yes, that seems the best way to go about.. riding. How many different ways are there to ride horses, Muris?" She asked, patting the bed beside her for the girl to sit down. "And.. and if you dont mind me asking, did you ever have chance to see my parents.. be.. before the curse?" She asked a bit hopefully. Shiaree Muris sat down next to the other girl, biting her lip thoughtfully, "I think so...Filix and I used to play a lot, and sometimes some people would come to get her, and I think they were probably your parents.."
She blushed a lot more now, "But I don't know for sure, 'cause I think Filix wasn't really supposed to be there so they didn't really talk to me much..There are mostly three ways to ride a horse, too. Western, English, and Sidesaddle Ahnna "Hmm, yes. I suppose it would be better to ask.. Filix these questions. Unfortunatly, I get the impression my sister avoids me most of the time. Well, I suppose if I was cursed with the way she thinks I might avoid me, too. What of your parents?" She asked, not thinking that the matter was more then likely utterly sencitive. "I don't remember anything.. from before. Well, very little. I was only one.." Shiaree Muris bit her lip, looking away, "Mama...mama was really pretty."
The little mouse's voice became at once soft and wistful, "She was always brushing my hair and telling me 'bout how I was supposed to act around the nobles. But then she'd sit with me at night and read me stories...And Papa..papa taught me all about horses.."
She was -not- going to cry. Not in front of Lady Rosa. No matter how much she missed her parents. Ahnna Rosa smiled, "Oh, I see. I havent heard much of my parents. I belive .. people thought my mother was quite.. quite concieted." She sighed and shook her head, "My father I have heard very little of. Don't let it burden you, Muris. You have been granted life, and you are far from alone." She said, looking over at the little girl. "King Cervus is a good leader. Granted, he had that Aesculus as a right hand but.." She trailed off and shook her head, while going to pat Muris on the back. "Already, you have made many new friends. Am I right?" Shiaree Muris thought about this, and nodded with a little bit of a smile, "Yeah..I never knew Aesculus or Alces before this..or even you, even if I did know Filix..so I guess you're right that lots of good stuff has come of it."
She swung her legs back and forth a bit, dangling them above the floor, "D'you really think I'll be pretty when I'm big like you?" Ahnna Hmm, all I remember from my childhood was sitting outside with Filix. Even when I was young I remember she annoyed me .. a great deal.." She shook her head and stood up, streaching out her limbs. "Do you know how to dance, Muris? I suspect the King will wed his betrothed, soon. There will be cause for a celebration, a ball perhaps. Perhaps by then you will be a teenager, dancing.. my friend, is perhaps the one true way to identify a true noblewoman." She said with a nod. "Oh yes, im sure. You have lovely hair, and some nice features. You should learn to be much more confident then you are, Muris. That is.. well, for another day." Shiaree Muris beamed, "Siblings don't get along a lot..."
She nodded to herself about something, and then giggled, "You think I might be big enough for dancing then? I don't really know how to do it right..just a little from watching Mama and Papa. They danced together when they thought nobody was watching sometimes."
She blushed, though, "But I'm not a noblewoman, so maybe I shouldn't?" Ahnna Rosa furrowed her eyebrows, "Oh don't be silly. Everyone is entitled to dancing." She smirked and shook her head, "Perhaps if this was the mooncourt, where your title would truly dictate your freedoms and virtues, but as I have said we have a good King. How did your parents dance?" She asked, turning her head off to one side. "And no, I get along with Filix sometimes... I simply don't understand her and that annoys me." Shiaree Muris nodded, "I get mad at the horses sometimes when I don't understand what they want. Maybe it's kinda like that?"
She looked down at her hands, "Mama and papa would just hug each other tight and sorta spin around slowly 'n stuff. But it was still dancing." Ahnna Rosa blinked, "Yes, I guess that describes it well. Filix and I.. well, we are very different people. Still, we are destined to share a title and govern out father's lands together - I suppose we must find our peace. We do, however, don't get me wrong.. I love my sister dearly, she is the most important thing I have at the moment. Well aside from my own well being." She scoffed slightly, "And considering she is so important to me- you would think she would have the decency to atleast humor my demands! She -will- be a lady, a true proper lady. She -will-!" She ranted, before she calmed down and took a deep breath. "Ah, maybe that is one of the best way's to dance. It does sound very romantic. It seems you came from a good coupling." Shiaree Muris was nearly frightened by Rosa's little rant, but managed to calm herself when she remembered how nicely the other had been treating her, "Well, maybe Filix just wants to do things her own way. Everybody's different," she suggested timidly, then brightened at the compliment to her parents, "Yeah, Mama and Papa loved each other lots.." Ahnna Rosa shook her head, "That doesnt mean she has the right to be something she isnt! She is born of our father, she is a noblewoman, a countess! Yet she.. well, I suppose I should be greatful for her attempts at holding the title. That she doesnt completely disown it..." She looked around and smiled again, "Do you feel you have better.. posture.. now?" She asked offhandedly as she started moving twords the door. Shiaree She nodded, deciding that discussing Filix probably wasn't the -best- idea, and that she should probably let that subject, at least, drop, "Yeah..I think..where're you going?" Ahnna Rosa smiled, "Lets test out your new posture. Care to walk with me to the courtyard?" Shiaree Muris nodded, picking up the book again and setting it comfortably against her chest, "Allright..." September 6, 2004 -
((Am trying a slightly different way of doing it, this time, folks. ))
Rosa walked into her chambers. Her eyes were heavey, worn and tired - yet still the ever persistant lingering of beauty and grace never faltered. It was much more likely to be a trained substance, almost like a makeup she applied every morning - because as she closed the door behind her, leaned against the wooden frame, and let out a deep exhale - much of the less natural beauties and postures relieved. With her shoulders stooping inwards ever so slightly, she massaged her shoulder absent mindedly - and stared annoyedly at the scarlet colored diary laying on a table. "Bah."
As she moved around her chambers, going through the long process of preparing herself for the night (unbraiding her hair, unwinding it and unsetting it - brushing out the rather -lengthy- strands that became of the once intwined braids, and finnaly rebraiding it all in a much more simple but neat style for the time when she slept) she often glared back at that book. Once more, she repeated, "Bah."
Standing from her bed, she traveled the short distance to the table and chair as if it were an incredible burden. "Pointless." She muttered to herself, sliding into her seat as she picked up her writing tool. Four times she put the ink to paper, and four times she brought it back, finding herself playing with her nails instead.
As time wore on, still, eventually she did write. Eventually, and what became of it was quite....Erm;
"Again, I am here; as my Kithain demands. For such a crude and tactless woman I havent a clue why I pay her ridiculous demands and attention. She makes her points, and though I do not listen I am aware now that she will be.. checking.. on this diary.
Quite ridiculous, I say. If she makes it clear she intendes to read this; does she really think I will perscribe my innermost thoughts and - Well.
WHEN YOU READ THIS, WOMAN, KNOW THAT I HAVE PLANNED ONE STEP AHEAD OF YOU. HA!
At any rate, I might aswell list that which I may later wish to remmeber.
The most obvious of changes, my sister and I have grown. Our metamorphasis into our final stages of life has been satisfying. We are both lovely, I am neither proud or ashamed to say - because our beauty has come to be expected. My pride resides in more practicle things - our titles, for example. I am proud of my sister to a small extent, she seems to put forth a greater amount of effort to maintain a ladylike disposition. I suppose this means my own efforts have not been waisted?
I wonder exactly what it is our countesshood will require. Lands to govern, this I understand, but as we both have neither brother nor husband... Well, from what I gather Filix is also working on that. Whispers of sweet trysts held in midnight hours linger about the castle; well, perhaps they do not, but one cannot deny my vivid and relieving imagination.
It is a bit ironic to me, that Filix would take on the responcibilites I thought I would have to. Maybe not.. Ironic.. bitter sweet, perhaps. 'Bitter sweet' is a term I am begining to hear alot, it comes from a human named.. named.. Shakespear, yes. Quite popular by human standards. Romeo and Juliet was nice, though I hardly understand the point of dieing just because your lover dies.
Well, that is another story. Filix may have as large a burden as she desires, though if she intendes me to relinquish what power my parents blessed me with she is mistaken. Where she may goven the unimportant tasks our title may require, I have no intention of standing silently behind her as she makes important decisions and what not on our' lands behalf. I wont presume too much, either. I have yet to see this bird in flight, and hopefully I will not have to for some time.
What else... Oh, yes. Dear sweet Alces, everyone's friend and revelrous sight through dire eyes, has also grown. Where I suppose a man could find improvement, physically, he has grown sweet to look at. Perhaps this 'who you are within shines through' nonscence has some standing, though I seriously doubt it. Alces simply has a unique appeal, and will always have fondness in my heart. He is a good, loyal person. Loyal perhaps not to me soley, but too our entire kingdom - which is.. enough.. for now.
Aesculus has grown aswell. I don't really want to adress that much more then I have to...
Lets simply say I have become determined. Determined, you might ask, for what? Well. You will see.
Muris, who's proven to be a very apprehensive confidant, shows great potential. I am pleased to take her under my wing where I may, and one might go as far as to say I am protective now of the influence the others have on her. As my Kithain calls it, she is a bit of a 'pet project.' Something to fill my more empty days with, I suppose. More friends and connections is never a bad thing, of course, but I find it much easier to share with her very serious or what others might call 'sencitive' subjects. Perhaps this is simply because she is a child, and she cannot comprehend everything the others might - and she does break into tears about those aforementioned things quite alot.. But, it is bareable. My Kithain once told me that only a fool would share there feelings with someone only because they couldent understand them, in return I asked her if that was why she insisted on venting to inanitimate objects. That was around the time she threw me outside the window. Luckily I have good wings, but honestly - if she is supposed to be my decendant of some sort I would greatly like to know where that temper of her's comes from." -COUNTESS Rosa

Participants: Rosa and Alces. Plot: Rosa and Alces return home after an 'adventure.' Session Start Rosa opened her door, and looked back at Alces who she assumed was still with her. "Come on, my friend. You have saved me, oh so heroicly." She cooed, in a very smooth voice intended to play on every bit of pride Alces might have felt for his prior actions. "Come in." She repeated, as she stepped inside her lavish room. The silence of the place was interrupted by two things; first, the meow of her cat which greeted them as they entered, and second a very distinct insect chirp that came from the corner of the chambers.

The man wasn't there. At least, not when she first looked back. He had made a quick stop at his chambers to grab something which was now concealed with a concealment spell. He had rushed off towards Rosa's chambers so she wouldn't be kept waiting all that long, and had just come around the corner as she had looked back, and was soon behind her as he would have been if he hadn't taken that little detour.
He did seem rather proud of that, since he had been 'brave' and 'fought' that man who was gigantic compared to his tiny size in Gaia. It wasn't something he thought he would have been able to do until he had already done it. A small grin that was barely noticable appeared on his face as he gave a shrug as if acting as though it hadn't been a big deal. Which, it really wasn't, but at the same time, it was.

Rosa smiled at him and dropped an outer garmet she had had on in her closet of sorts -really, a wrap of a type. She looked back at him and smiled again, "Sit." She ensured, pointing to a chair as she began traveling twords the corner.
Gaston, Equus' feline present sat..staring at Alces. Rosa was well aware Equus had gone about dropping off cats to the rest of their kin at the time, and apparantly so was Gaston - for he was sniffing out Alces' feet, playing on a different cat's scent? At any rate, he was soon rubbing his little body demanding like against the man's leg - determined to get pet.
"Don't mind the imp." She said, with a nod at the cat. "I probably should of thrown him out a long time ago... But, I guess he keeps me from getting too lonely." She explained, carefully picking up a little cage. She had used a pinkish cloth to hold the handle of the cage - as if it were germ infested and disgusting, and though her nose crinkled at its content one could not deny a certin fondness she felt for the singing creature within.

Alces glanced at the chair she had pointed to and then headed over there, staring at the cat a moment before taking a seat. He set the invisible item that he had with him on the chair next to him, and gave a small nod of satisfaction, knowing that it would stay invisible for just a bit longer, than he would give it to her.
He looked up to see what Rosa was doing and turned his head off to the side, wondering what could possibly be in the small cage she was holding. The cat distracted him though, and he hadn't had time to ask what he had intended to. The man leaned down a bit to give Gaston a small pat on the head, "He certainly is...friendly. He sort of reminds me of Teres, he loves to be petted as well." He looked up from the cat and back at the cage; the look on his face gave away the fact that he was curious. "What is that?" He finally asked, trying to get a better look at the small creature within.

Gaston was pet. But not pet the way he wanted.
He was pet backwards. His fur was all.. messy now! He let out a hiss at Alces and ran off to the wall, where he persisted in trying to fix the fur on his head. Rosa looked at the cat and shook her head, "Imagine a creature being so concerned about thier fur." She said as if it were ridiculous... Snort.
Eventually, however, she looked back at the bug. "Oh. Yes. Little Bugsie." She nodded a moment and went to pass the cage onto the man. "You will take him, won't you? He got into my room one night.. Kept me up for hours with his little chirping. Eventually, after I stopped searching everywhere for the sorce and listened to his.. well, music, it put me to sleep peacefully. In the morning, however, I found Gaston had cornered Bugsie and was a few seconds away from having an early breakfast.
I don't know WHY I felt the need to save him. Perhaps its because he made such pretty sounds and I find fondness in my fellow musicians? Anyways... I, of course... being a LADY, no, a COUNTESS cannot care for.. an insect.." She shook her head and sighed. "And he is awful to look at. Creepy. You can change his name, or whatever you wan't just... take care of him, won't you?" She asked, eyebrows furrowed in as she whiped the hand that had been holding the cage off. "Or atleast squash him when im not looking." She muttered under her breath.

Staring at the cat oddly for a few moments he looked at Rosa and just nodded, "Yes...imagine." He, of course, wasn't going to say what he could have said. He gave a single shake of his head at the cat and then went to take the cage and set it on the otherside of the chair beside him and peered down at the small little cricket. "Bugsie..." he repeated as he finally looked back up at Rosa, "Yes, of course, I'll take him." He answered and glanced back down at the small insect, "And I'll be sure to take care of him. Thank you." he smiled at her.
He figured the cricket would be relatively safe, considering none of the current pets he had had tried to attack the strange little drop-like creature all that much. "When I stayed at Lady Xannyia's one night, in her realm, I heard lots of crickets..." He trailed off a moment, remembering the one he had seen up close, that had looked rather large compared to his small size and stopped himself from shuddering. "They certainly are...interesting looking creatures aren't they?" After another glance into the small cage at Bugsie he smiled a bit and went to pick up the invisible items next to him.
"And now I have something to give you to Countess Rosa." He waited for the spell to wear off, and within a few seconds a beautiful 'Saki set' appeared in his hands. "See, they have a rose design on them." He pointed that out even though it was pretty obvious. "You could put any kind of drink in here." He held them out to her so she could take them, "Or...just use them for decoration, something along those lines."
