"You know, for you....I think i can deal. Just don't get carried away, ne?" He smiled and gave the boy a kiss before climbing off of him with a blush. It had been quite some time since he had been so bold with anyone, not once in all his time in Midori. It felt nice, but he was still oddly embarrassed. He just kinda always half-expected Michael to bolt, to tell him he was misintepreting things. He couldn't shake the feeling.
"Uh, really, I have no idea. I'm so worried about boring you, and I'm sure my usual routine would do exactly that. I'm not used to keeping another person amused. Um, I guess you probably should practice your insrument. Tat's a daily thing, ne?" Reiku smiled shyl, thumbing the bangs away from his eyes.
"I wouldn't mind listening to you play. "

It was Michael's turn to blush. "Um... well... I'm not 'that' good, y'know. I, uh, well..." He was getting redder every second. He didn't mind playing for a hundred people, a thousand people, infront of judges, infront of other band people, but one person, sitting right there was just unnerving. He shook himself out of it... a little. "What would you like to hear? I got alot of stands tunes memorized, probably something you know. Just anything that's rock. Our band director liked that kinda' stuff."

Reiku visibly brightened.
"Oh, well, anything you would like to play would be great. I'm just glad you'd want to play around me....er..what do you play anyway?" He knew he probably should have asked that before. For all he knew the guy played the bagpipes. Or he could be like that red-heade kid down the hall who played the guitar. The firebug. He couldn't rmember his name.
"You seem to really like it. And I heard the music teacher is pretty nice, so you could have a lot of fun there. That's good. " reiku sighed then, slapping a hand to his forehead.
"Oi, I guess that means Astronomy is cancelled too...damn, that sucks. One of the few classes I actually kinda like.

He smiled. "I'm sorry. Hey, if it's any consolation, I don't get to have band, so, yeah." He shook his head. "Anyways, I play trombone, so I'm not totaly suportive in ensembles." He thought for a second. "Well, I have my flip-folder. I've got, Taquila, Another Brick in the Wall, Crazy Train, Paranoid, lots a' stuff like that." He shrugged, geting his case and putting the beautiful gold-brass horn together.

"Trombone?" Well, that was not at all what he had been expecting to hear. He smiled, unsure of how to respond to that, then watched as Michael began to prepare.
He retrieved his lunch from the floor, feeling much more at ease. Scooting backward so that his back rested against the wall, he sat cross legged and set his food in front of himself on the bed.
"Whatever you want to play is fine by me... I'm afraid I'm not all that familiar with what you've mentioned. Are those American bands or songs or something? " he took a bite of his wrap, looking to Michael expectantly.
((Oi, your new ID is finished, Jace-kun. Just in case you haven't seen it yet.))

((Gotch'ya! Thanks!))
"Oh, yeah. I guess I didn't tell you, I went to an American High School before I got sent here. My Dad wanted to move to America. I guess it reminded him of Mom." He paused for a second. "Anyways, yeah, and our band director, thankfully, was young enough to appreciate rock, but old enough to hate rap." He shuddered a little. "Anyways... Paranoid! It's one of my personal favorites."
Before he started playing, he buzzed his mouthpiece, then inserted it into the horn and blew a couple long tones to do a little warm up. "Alright, here we go." He tapped his foot for a count-off and began the song. The fast pace song ran through pretty quickly, but the conflicting steps in the music worked rather well together.
((I don't know if you actualy know the song or not.))

Reiku listened attentively, though he had no idea what he was listening to. He ate his lunch quickly, and when it seemed like Michael was done he clapped. He offered the boy a smile, rising from the bed to throw away his trash.
"Youre really good, My-kun. have you been playing long? I gotta admit, when you said what you played, I wasn't sure how to react. But you really seem to enjoy it." He smiled again, wanting to throw his arms around the other boy, but it would be kind of awkward with the big horn in between them.

"Aw, it's no big deal. Paranoid's easy, really. Smoke on the Water's a bit more difficult. Heh, I wish we had a whole band to let you listen to How the West was Won. That's an amazing one, and pretty hard out on the marching field." He smiled, remembering his marching band days in America. "Anyway, what do you mean you were skeptical. What's wrong with the trombone, huh?" He had mock-anger on his face.

Reiku raised his hands, waving them in surrender.
"Nothing, nothing! Just not what I was expecting, is all. When someone says they play an instrument, the trombone is not the first place most would go, ne?" He giggled, running a hand through his spiky hair.
"So, do you miss being in America? How long's it been since you've been there? Do you plan on going back?" Can I go with you? Reiku blushed sudenly, though the question had remained unvoiced. He turned away from Michael, as though the other had heard his thought, and gave himself a sharp pinch to the inside of his arm.
Get a hold of yourself, Inoue. Why, why do you have to push so hard, so fast. Relax, he doesn't know what you weree thinking. Just be cool, be cool.
Reiku busied himself straightening out the books and magazines he had knocked over earlier.

He laughed good-heartedly. "Alright, alright. I can understand that. I was surprised when I chose that for my instrument." He listened to Rei's questions. "Well, America was really interesting, and there were lots of differant people about, but that also meant some pretty crappy attitudes. I don't know if I really miss it, but I do kinda miss my friends from there. I think, it's been about two months. After the trial we moved back, and I spent the time in juvi before I was sent here. I 'do' want to go back, I just don't know when."
He grabed a bite of his sandwich and swallowed. "Why's he getting all disfigured? It's like he emberrissed himself or something. Weird. Oh well."

Composed once more reiku turned around with a slight smile. The inside of his arm throbbed where he pinched it, and he yanked the sleeve of his shirt over the reddened skin. He grabbed the sealed fruit cup, tossing it idly from one hand to the other.
"that's cool. I mean not the trial or whatever...I mean..heh..Nevermind." Ok, so maybe he wasn't as composed as he had initially thought. "You know, it can be hard to tell what's a touchy subject around here. Some people would rather keep the reason for their attandance to themselves. Some will tell their story to whoever will stand still long enough to hear it. And some people don't care one way or another. If I offend you, just tell me to shut up, ne?"

He set his horn down. "I can understand. Hey, don't talk that way though, huh?" He moved in closer, his arm cradeling Reiku's face. "It's alright. You're not offending me. And if you still don't see fit to tell me your story yet, then that's okay." He leaned in and kissed Reiku's lips, softly, and passionately.

Reiku pursed his lips thoughfully, setting the shaken fruit down once more. He made his way over to the bed and floopped forward, snatching up a pillow and clutching it to his chest.
"Well...you did tell me yours... it would be fair, ne?" Reiku murmered softly, still sorting his thoughts.
No! Don't do it, his mind rebelled. Only two things can happen, you'll freak him out and he'll run, or he'll use it against you later. Don't tell him. Say you're not ready.
But I wanna tell him, was the response from his heart. He wouldn't use it against me. he told me what he did. I can trust him, I just know it. With a sigh the boy pushed himself up into a sitting position, curling up around the pillow in front of him.
"All right, My-kun...I'll tell you."

He sat down tenderly, wrapping an arm around the withdrawn young man. "Reiku, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. If it's too painful for you, then it doesn't bother me. I know who you are now, and really that's all that matters. I have a bad habit of spilling my own guts when I get too stressed, so, if me telling you is presuring you, then forget about it. You can tell me when you want to, but I could go on living and never know. I love you, and that love is unconditional." He leaned in, resting his head on Reiku's shoulder.

He said it again....he said that he loved him. Rekiku closed his eyes. Why did Michael say that when there was no way he could mean it. He didn't know him, didn't know they awful things he'd done. What a horrible person he really was.
The boy's head slowly shook rom side to side as his thoughts swirled wildly through his head. Reiku's body tensed, then abruptly relaxed as his strained face became fell slack. He pitched over sideways, his body limp, his head resting against Michael's shoulder.
