Signis sighed a little and pulled her closer. "I'd ask you to stay with me, but I know that would be a futile advance," He laughed a little and then slowly let her go. "Let's head inside at the very least..." He murmured, so that way we can talk and all that, and see where things go..." He murmured, holding out his hand to her again, waiting for her to take it.
"I will make sure the cave stays neat while you're gone... Do what you feel you need to do," He smiled at her weakly.

She takes his hand, and laughs again. "Signis, you look as if I have killed your puppy. Well, a little like it," she says, shaking her head. She starts to lead them back into the cave, and locks the door after them when they are inside.
"It will only be a week, and then I will be back, same as ever," she adds as she walks toward the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. She leans against the entry way as she opens it, and quirks a brow. "But, I do suppose I owe you an explination, in the very least. As to why I am leaving for such a prolonged period of time."

Signis nodded his head, and followed her to the kitchen, standing a little ways from her as she leans against the way in. "I would like that," He admited, bowing his head a little. "You don't owe it to me, but I would like to know..." He sighed.
Truth be told, he was leery about her leaving, but it was purely for her own safety than anything else. Signis could be a might overprotective at times, and now that Bellatrix was a full grown adult, it only made it worse.

She studies Signis a moment, before nodding, and walking across the hall into the sitting room. She settles on a pillow, and sets her bottle of water down beside her. She waits for Signis to join her before she begins speaking.
"First, I want to say thank you for saying you will keep the cave tidy. I hate when it gets too messy in here. And, second," she says, narrowing her eyes a little. "I can take care of myself."
With that, her face relaxes a bit. "Apparently, my soul, or spirit, or what have you, was merged with that of a serpent Yaaraea by the name of Negi. She was picked by the Guardians for such a task, and for some reason or other, she chose to merge with me while I was still in my egg." She shrugs a little, her brow furrowing. "What I don't understand, though, is what made her so important that the Guardians took notice of her. It might very well be that she was just available. I also don't know what it was about me that made her choose me. I have already gathered some information to help me get closer to answers, but I have many, many others that I will need to speak to. That is why I am leaving. I can't expect them all to come to my cave, it would be rude of me. So, I will have to seek them out, with the help of Casey and the other snakes I meet along the way."

Signis nodded slowly, and he looked away at her second comment. "I just care about you, it's well in my right to be worried..." He murmured, just barely able to hear it himself. He looked up when she was done talking and he nodded his head again.
"That is understandable, and I trust your judgement on the matter Bellatrix... I know you know what you are doing, and if this is something you feel you have to do, need to do... Then I am behind you all the way."

Bellatrix smiles. Well, at least he understands, and he isn't going to tie her up to the bed to keep her here.
Well, being tied up to the bed might prove a little interesting. Hmmm. . . . Of course, she wouldn't be the bound one. . . .
Shaking her head slightly, and wondering where that came from, she smiles. "Alright, then. It is settled," she says, taking a drink from her water. She doesn't say that she appreciates him not freaking out over the revelation. And, yeah, that she also appreciates his support.
She then stands and walks over to him. "I have a long day tomorrow," she says, her usual smile coming to her lips. She reaches a hand up, and runs her fingers idly over the scars on Signis's back. "I think I am going to go to bed. Are you coming?" she asks. Her grin widens, and her eyes are dancing as she turns and hurries out of the room, rushing to the spiral stairs and up to the room that she and Signis share.

Signis shot to his feet and darted right after Bellatrix, "Of course I'm going to come! You think I'd not!" He laughed and shook his head, moving after her quickly so that he wouldn't lose any more time with her than he already had.
After all, she was gone for a week the next day, and he didn't want to waste a moment of his time with her.
