And even more recipes! biggrin
Baked Apples
Select 6 large baking apples. Core apples and pare strip from top of each. Place in baking dish. In center of each apple, place 1 to 2 tablespoons brown or granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of butter. Pour 1 cup water around apples; bake uncovered in moderate oven (375 degrees Farenheit) for 45 to 60 minutes. Baste apples several times during baking. Apple centers may be filled with chopped dates, raisins, or mincemeat. Or mix 1/4 teaspoon anise seed and 1 tablespoon chopped nuts for each apple. _______________________________
Polynesian Pafait
Stir 1 cup mint jelly. Add 2 1/2 cups crushed pineapple, chilled and drained; mix well. Add few drops green (or blue if you don't have green) food colouring, if desired. In parfait glasses, alternate layers of the pineapple with 1 quart of pineapple sherbet. Makes 6 servings. ________________________________
Spice Layer Cake
3/4 cup shortening 2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour 1 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon 3/4 to 1 teaspoon cloves 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 cup buttermilk 3 eggs
Stir shortening to soften. Sift in flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and spices. Add brown sugar and buttermilk. Mix till all flour is dampened; beat vigorously for 2 minutes. Add eggs; beat 2 minutes more. Bake in 2 paper-line 9x1/2 inch round pans at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. (goes best with a brown sugar icing and some sort of nutty fruit filling inbetween layers) ________________________________
Easy Petit Fours Bake one big cake (in a rectangular, 1 inch thick pan), cut in bite-size pieces, and pour icing over. Add lil' cake decorations. Serve!

Since I'm vegetarian, and I'm sure there are other veggie lolis out there:
This would make a good finger food for a tea party. It's vegetarian and Asian inspired. :3 Sesame Tofu Sticks
About 1 pound of medium-firm tofu Teriyaki sauce (I don't suggest Kinkoman's but I do suggest House of Tsang) 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup sesame seeds 2 tablespoons salad oil 3 green onions (including tops), thinly sliced
Place tofu in a colander and let drain for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare teriyaki sauce. Cut tofu in domino-shaped piece and marinate in teriyaki sauce for 15 minutes, turning to coat well. Meanwhile combine flour and sesame seeds. Lift tofu from marinade, drain briefly. then dip in flour mixture to coat all sides. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a wide frying pan (or wok) over medium heat; add half the tofu and cook until lightly browned (about 4 minutes on each side). Remove from pan keep warm. Add the remaing tablespoon oil to cook the remaining tofu. Serve warm, sprinkled with green onion, and pass remaing teriyaki sauce for dipping. Makes 4 servings.

Well, i recently made this delish cake and it was quite interesting. I got recipe from the Betty Crocker site:
heart
Luscious Mandarin Orange Cake ingredients:
one packet of YELLOW CAKE MIX 1/2 cup of VEGTABLE OIL 1/2 cup of chopped WALNUTS (optional) 4 EGGS 1 can (11 ounces) MANDARIN ORANGE SEGMENTS, undrained
How to: 1 . Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottom only of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, or lightly spray with cooking spray. 2 . Beat cake mix, oil, walnuts, eggs and orange segments in large bowl with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds; beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Pour into pan. 3 . Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Frost with Pineapple Frosting (optional - directions below). Store tightly covered in refrigerator.
Personally some frostings are too greasy and too sweet so i used the Pinapple Frosting instead:
1 can (20 ounces) crushed PINEAPPLE, undrained 1 package (4-serving size) VANILLA INSTANT PUDDING and PIE FILLING MIX 1 cup frozen (thawed) WHIPPED TOPPING
Stir together pineapple and pudding mix (dry). Gently stir in whipped topping. It's really great and worth a try.
HAVE FUN! heart

http://i2.tinypic.com/205y2rr.jpgI found a page in 2006 Elle magazine that had a pretty cool recipe for a strawberry cake AND a tea recipe. The picture is huge but you can see the letters and the food made better. =D Click on the link if you want a recipe for: Victoria Cake Elderflower Ice Teaand if you want to make your mouth water..like mine is. Those White Chocolate Lace Cups are a lovely, and also are romantic idea. I think I might try it some time with milk chocolate and my own spin on it.
Did you manage to get the recipe from Kraftfoods.com? I love that site.

I bought this vegetarian cookbook from an antique store the other day, expecting to just find some vegetarian casserole dishes in it, but to my delight, I found some recipes for different teas as well as some other quaint beverages. It even had several quiches and other fingerfoods.
The Minus Meat Cookbook Joyce McKinnell
Honeyade *can be served hot or cold
For each person, allow the juice of a good sized fresh lemon, 1-2 teaspoons clear honey, 3/4 of a glass of water, and fresh mint leaves. Combine main ingredients and garnish with mint.
___________________________
Rose Geranium Lemonade
Use honeyade as a base. Crush some rose geranium leaves and put them at the bottom of each glass before adding the liquid.
___________________________
Apple Tea
Boil 2 pints water and 1 ounce dried apple peel for 15 minutes. Strain and garnish with very finely sliced apple.
____________________________
Lemon Tang
Blend a glass of milk, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon honey; then stir in the juice of half a fresh lemon.
****~~~~~****
Those were some of the drinks, here's some food:
Curried Eggs
Hard-boil, cool, and shell eggs. Cut in half, scoop out yolk and blend with butter and curry powder. Return to egg whites and garnish with mango chutney.
It's a nifty way to surprise your guests with something other than regular deviled eggs. :3 Although I personally would provide both. :3

Fei Chui Ngan Ngar (Bean Sprouts with Jade)
1 10 oz tin bean sprouts (I suggest fresh bean sprouts...) 2 large sliced green peppers (bell peppers...but banana peppers are sweet) 1/4 cup corn oil (or wok oil if you want) 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
Drain bean sprouts (if you used it from the tin), and fry with sliced peppers in heated oil (which for a normal wok or pan is 350 degrees F). When cooked add salt and sugar.

Does anyone have a recipe for making your own lemon or lime curd? I know it's easier to get at the store, but the only really good lemon curd I've come across is from Stickyfingers Bakery. And even at that I can only find it in another city! D:
