Mozelle listened intently to the other female. She was wise, she thought silently. Wise and caring. She seemed to be the complete opposite of Phib in more ways than one. It was rather strange, for she had always thought that opposites clashed more than attracted, as most others had thought.
Coming out of her thoughts randomly, she thought of what to say. There were many things to talk of, but her troubled mind wouldn't allow for much processing to go on through the brain. It slowed her down, and made her speech come out slower than usual. Suddenly the female felt tired. A year of traveling, half of that year having been spent in harsh storms and raging blizzards. No reward had come out of the whole adventure, and she found herself wishing that she had merely stayed home.
Strings were pulled and her heart ached as the seconds ticked on. Time was a cruel, cruel thing, she decided.
"So he is merely confused?" she suggested carefully. He knew only how to be a leader it seemed, and not how to be a father. This would explain for his random mood swings when around Gareth. His eyes didn't show hate, but rather disappointment. Though whether it was for himself or for his son, Mo couldn't quite tell.
"He needs support, maybe?" she then said, closing her eyes momentarily as she thought back to when she and Kapu had had their first litter. Only one pup had been produced, but then they had loved that little girl dearly and with all of their hearts.
Her mind screamed again. Memories, they would be the death of her.
The wind blew randomly over the two and carried off towards the two males. For a moment or so her thoughts basked in the image of Gareth. He was sweet, kind, yet insecure. Something had made him that way. Or someone. Oh how she longed to help him! Yet powerless was she, and so the spotted one merely sighed and shifted around in her spot slightly.
Then her mind instantly switched topics as Ame answered her question about the pack. So she wasn't much into ruling, it seemed. She was probably there for Phib, and perhaps for the comfort of others. But she wasn't an alpha, that was for sure. What she was exactly, though, she couldn't quite figure out.
"Rio?" The question escaped her maw before she even had a chance to think about it. Neither was the name familiar nor strange, but rather... well, she wasn't quite sure how to explain it.

Listening to the one beside her once again, Mozelle let her mind fall idle. There wasn't much to think about, now that she had had a few weeks to contemplate and ponder everything. Phib seemed even more troubled than she was, and from what she was hearing, she assumed he had been this way for much longer than a year. She herself hadn't even been troubled for a year! Not even close. It had only been the past month or so when she had finally broken down.
And suddenly, she had a new respect for the dark male. Though he tried not to show it, it seemed that others were still able to figure out that he was troubled. Or at least Ame did. She seemed to have a keen sense on others and had a strange ability to read into other wolves.
"He is strong, then," she finally concluded, glancing over at the blind female.
'I'm blind, and I see more than any of you.' Randomly the old saying of the elders rang through her head. There had been a blind prophet once, she thought, back when humans hadn't even dared to touch the face of the earth. Mo heard that the prophetess, being as she was female, was more tuned into nature and others than anyone else who could see. Amazing...
"You are lucky to have someone like him. He seems stable most of the time, and like a good one to count on.." Her words were merely mumbles as she looked back to where the other two wolves had disappeared.
Then an ear flicked with the seer explained about Rio. A shaman, huh? She hadn't heard of them being around for a long while. Some back home had said they'd died out hundreds of years ago. Perhaps they were right, but also wrong. It was probably only in that particular area where they had died out, but not elsewhere.
"Perhaps I should, and perhaps I will," she sighed, sinking down to her stomach. The female didn't know quite why, but she didn't feel at all lively enough to go about meeting new wolves.

Dreams washed over the female's tired mind, not giving it even a single moment of peace. Different images flashed through her mind in a matter of seconds, each one more and more difficult to bear than the last. Her past was coming back to haunt her, and this was not the sort of rest she had been expecting.
Leaving her parents. That had been the first one. She hadn't really suffered from the act, but she had been dearly depressed after a few months without them. Leaving home had been hard for her, as as soon as she had left, she became pregnant with her first litter, which had only produced one healthy pup.
Next was Willow Pup Julie. It wasn't so unpleasant at first, but then it turned into a sharp nightmare when she thought of when Kapu disappeared, and she scent that lingered over the very spot where her beloved had once lain, tied to the ground by some unknown force. Human prints covered her mind's eye as she whimpered and whined, her actions going on into the real world.
Another flash and she was watching her pups die, one by one. Two lay at the bottom of a steep cliff, completely motionless except for the pulls and pushes their bodies received from the plucking bills of the scavenger birds. Another flash and a pup was sailing through the air due to a strike from a protective bear mother. In her dream she howled, howled so long that her heart nearly shattered into a million little pieces.
Once more something crossed her mind. The once-strong female was alone, lost in a raging blizzard that stormed the high mountains. She crouched and curled, hoping to save at least some body heat. Everything around her was white, and she couldn't see even a foot in front of her, making it nearly impossible to find some source of shelter.
But suddenly a warmth came over her weary body as, in reality, Gareth collapsed right down beside her. Immediately her head shot up and her eyes were quite round and wide as she looked terribly fearsome.
Finally she spotted the male. "Oh my, Gareth.." she wheezed, her heart skipping a beat at having been given such a fright. Her breathing remained difficult for a few minutes after that as she rested her head on her own paws and merely lay there. She was glad for the male's company, but she neither felt grateful nor glad to be here.
Mo would rather be dead.

The only indication that the female had even heard the words of the one next to her was the simple flick of an ear, and even then the notion was not so noticeable as one might have liked or thought. Her mind had slowed now that she was no longer asleep, which was the opposite of how things normally ran. But that was quite alright for her, she appreciated and was grateful for the slow-down.
Finally she showed some signs of actual life, and it happened after Gareth had rested his head upon her shoulder. It had been so long.. the feeling..
Flicking her ears again, Mo attempted to concentrate. Failing miserably, she shut her eyes for a moment and winced. But it wasn't because of him, it would never be because of him. Instead it was at her own incompetence and failure to see what was right in front of her dazzling violet eyes.
"I am... better, Gareth," she finally spoke, her voice soft but not at all smooth. Emotions dwelled inside of her chest and were just rearing to escape at the first opportunity. "Just... stay here, I shall be better in a few minutes time." She lay on her belly, paws slightly outstretched straight in front of her. Her neck was arched slightly as her gaze dwelled on the ground, eyes filled with sadness. Eventually they closed, and for a few minutes it seemed she had fallen asleep. But really, the spotted wolf was thinking. Thinking about everything, all at once.
And suddenly her head moved about so that she could peer at him. For a split second something flashed across her face, but then it fell serious again. For a few more moments, which dragged on and felt like hours, she continued to peer curiously at him. Then she spoke, a slight smile cracking and breaking down her serious and saddened look.
"Thank you, Gareth," she said softly, saying his name fondly as her tone was more smooth and under control this time. "It means a lot to me that you came back."
It meant a great deal. Someone dearly important to her had already left, and hadn't come back. But not him... he had stayed...

Mozelle continued to peer into the bright green eyes of the male. There was much sadness in him, but as the minutes passed on that sadness soon turned into determination. And that determination, she couldn't help but think, was probably caused by her. She had always been strong, and somewhere deep down in her mind she had always known it, and that for some reason had somewhat of an affect on others. Now, it seemed, the old ways were still flowing strong.
A smile slowly crossed her features as her keen ears picked up the soft words of the male. They assured her that he wouldn't leave, for this one didn't seem like one to lie, not ever.
"Thank you," she repeated again, even more softly than the first time. And Mo really was truly grateful. Company had always seemed to ease her nerves and to calm her restless mind, and now it seemed that his presence was working wonders for her.
Still smiling, the female randomly shifted slightly and rested her head on his paws. She didn't know why, but it was just something she felt she should do. It felt strange, but it felt somewhat warming at the same time.

A sudden sensation ran through the female's body. She believed she felt the wind rustle her fur, but she couldn't be sure. If it was the wind, though, she wondered whether it could have perhaps been Silver... or maybe even Kapu. Would he have approved of this? Perhaps, perhaps not. He had always been protective over her, even with his brother. Her mind sighed. There were too many things to think of at the moment, and all she wished to do was rest.
And be with Gareth. That made her blink, frightening her slightly so that her fur prickled slightly in alarm. Like Gareth, this was somewhat new to her. It had been a long while. Too long, almost. Too social was she to have gone on without company for a month, let alone a whole year on that journey of hers.
But the female calmed down considerably with a few moments. The mere warmth of the male's body so close to hers sent a comforting feeling into her heart, even if her mind was shouting out that this wasn't right.
Then she randomly started to murmur things. They were inaudible at first, but then they somehow grew louder as her eyes closed and she began to drift off into sleep. It was strange, but it was happening. "Gareth... thanks..." It seemed to be the same thing over and over, as if she had to keep saying it a million times over in order for it to actually be enough.
Yet then: "I--" And she slept.
